Relatively clear video footage of a triangular ship similar to the belgian flap years ago.

That is as clear as you will ever get without an official release photo. Great footage! :thumb_yello:
So, does anyone know what it took for the USAF to release full details of the F117?

Well our friend Mr. James Casbolt is here, let’s see what he has to say.
The F-117A was first used in Panama in anger. Had its first flight in 1981 (although Have Blue flew nearly 5 years prior) and came into full combat service in 1983.
Because of the need to do daytime training it was revealed to the world in 1988 in a really bad touched up photograph. Fully came into light just before Gulf War I. (1991).

This is the clearest footage from night vision systems of a triangle craft flying at high speed and high altitude. Amazing in its clarity it cannot be mistaken for anything else bar a controlled craft.

Impressive Egg.
So, the F117 was only publicly acknowledged out of the necessity to train in daylight, and not due to public sightings/photos.
That surely means that the no matter how blatant the images/videos captured by the public we will NOT be acknowledged unless there is a benefit to the operators.
How frustrating. Its like covering you eyes and claiming you are invisible! :mfr_lol:

Indeed. If there is no need for them to show you, they won't, ever. Tacit blue stealth airframe was built in 1982, flown, 'possibly' flown in testing over soviet russia and Iran (ufo sightings of airframes very similar), and retired and NEVER declassified until an accidental reference to it in 1995.
It made 135 flights, flew 4 times a week and logged an amazing amount of testing air time.
It is the 'mother' of all Northrop stealth aircraft, and is considered to be the most successful stealth airframe ever built in a development stage. Had it been rolled out into general service and made frontline, no doubt it would of been a formidable weapon system.

brilliant video all about it and rare video footage of it in flight.
