More Americans Wary of Tax Man This Year

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - As a deep recession strips Americans of their jobs, homes and investments, the 2009 U.S. tax season promises to see a large uptick in first-time delinquent income taxpayers.

"Our calls are up 280 percent," said Richard Boggs, founder and chief executive of Los Angeles-based Nationwide Tax Relief, a firm that helps delinquent taxpayers resolve tax issues.

"We've seen a huge rise in what we call the rookie delinquent taxpayer," he said. "They are incredibly scared, and they have no idea what's going to happen to them because, God bless them, they've never owed before."

They amazing thing is that the whole tax scheme was a unconstitutional con from the beginning.

The only thing that will break the current system is exactly what is happening right now.

Just sent mine in today, but yes, the whole thing is a scam!
But they have you in a situation that if you don't claim any income all your life, then you won't be able to collect social security, because it's based on your income throughout the years.
Damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

I think the problem is they owe, but they don't have enough money to pay.
