Hi peeps,i just opened up explorer, googled up and i noticed for the first time this encryption on the search bar-an alien head!!??I thought it a little odd as i've never seen this on my p.c. before ,can any peeps shed any light on this, meaning is there a season or reason for this icon?
If you type www.godlikeproductions.com you will see that when you get to the site, the globe is replaced with the identical icon.
Its site specific.

I had a naked lady run across my screen a couple of years back. She was gone before I could say, "B-b-b-b-b-bugger me!"
I haven't seen her since. :wall:

Nothing to worry about...I've had this last year once, the DC (for divine cosmos) from David Wilkock's site apeared allways also on one another site too, only on one other specific site.
After cleaning the cache, all cookies and deleting both sites from my favourites, it stopped. I don't have the problem any more.

You should use firefox http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ :thumb_yello:
You can import all your bookmarks etc when you start it

Yep, I second that advice Swanny, I've been using Firefox for some time and have never experienced the "OH $HIT" events I had with IE. :original:

By accident came to GLP and got the thingy in the tab. (firefox)

That is a favicon.ico which is placed in the head section of an html document to put a cool graphic in the browser of your website. A code link example:
<link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="http://yourwebsite.com/favicon.ico">
All new browsers show these icons in your bookmarks and tabs.
If you have a website you can create an icon graphic like this and upload it as favicon.ico in your root directory. Then place this code in your html document.
In this case, someone put an alien head graphic as their favicon.

What's different about Firefox? In simple english please because I'm a computer idiot, LOL
I know BROOK suggested it to me awhile ago but I never changed it.
I hate changes, LOL, is it easy to use?

Oh, I personaly find firefox much, much better and easier to use...I quit with IE a long time ago now...and I would never get back to IE again...it is like...how should I say...somehow unfriendly...
About changes...I know how you feel :thumb_yello: but hey, give it a try...

Also it's safer to use than IE, if you run a spy bot program all the alerts are from IE not firefox.
Which means your internet connection will be faster using firefox, just make sure you run something like adaware every now and then to keep things clean :thumb_yello:
