Superman fights an never ending battle for truth and justice. Disguised as a mild mannerd newspaper reporter, Clark Kent.
I was just going through some really old cartoons and came up with this one from 1941 (did they have colour TV then? "Animation by Steve Muffati and George Germanetti. Music by Sammy Timberg. Produced in 1941." is what's quoted in the info.
You may wonder why I went searching though cartoons. It was something Richie Havens had to say in one of his concerts.
Now back to the opening line. Who was this targeted at, definitely not the parents of the day! So the kids hear that their hero is fiighting a "never ending battle". They also hear that this selfless heroe is undercover at the local newspaper, ergo, if it is in the paper they know that the papers are fighting for truth and justice in a never ending fashion.

Subliminal mind control at it's best I think.
