Polls allow us to state our opinion. They are rarely really representative of the group mind, because there are many members who don't vote -

Most polls are "against" something. The members who don't vote usually are not particularly "against" that same thing, but don't hold strong opinions.

Polls have nothing to do with what forum administrators choose to do with a forum.

We are guests in their homes, they get to run it the way they want. If we don't like the way they entertain, we can vote with our feet.

How bout we please everyone and instead of removing it, give it it's own thread to post to?

That way people who are interested can view that thread and converse. Those who could care less about the chicken can ignore that thread.

How about if we meet halfway - I have permission from Kerry for Gareth to set up a section called Newsbot News or something like that. The vote was about even when I looked at it and wrote to Kerry. Now there are a couple more no votes.

Can we settle on this compromise? Any ideas for a name? PM Gareth if you think you have a good one, and post it here too.

Plus some good news. Project Camelot http://projectcamelot.org/ has made substantial progress toward paying off old Camelot expenses and can now continue to gather monies for present and future work. Give if you can (and haven't).
