It was in the actions of plants that I perceived the unity that is within all things.
The mode that quiver in ripples of light , the teaming life upon the earth and radiant suns that shine above us.
I understood for the first time that ancient message proclaimed by my ancestors on the banks of the Ganges thirty centuries ago :
" They who see what ONE in all the teaming plants many foldness of the universe to them alone belongs eternal truth and to no one else "

Jagdish Chandra Bose was an eminent Indian scientist. He was the first to prove that plants and metals too have feelings.

Jagdish Chandra Bose was born on November 30, 1858 in Mymensingh (now in Bangladesh). His father Bhagabanchandra Bose was a Deputy Magistrate. Jagadish Chandra Bose had his early education in village school in Bengal medium. In 1869, Jagadish Chandra Bose was sent to Calcutta to learn English and was educated at St.Xavier's School and College. He was a brilliant student. He passed the B.A. in physical sciences in 1879.

I share this documentary with you. It's an hour long but well worth watching.
The secret life of plants:

I would be interested to hear of any relationships that you guys might have had with the realm of plants.

My Family owned about 90-acres of wild Woodland and about 50-acres of open Fields, up in New Hampshire. This adjoined a huge Wilderness territory that extended up into some rugged granite Mountains. In the Fields was a small orchard of red & yellow apple trees and pear trees.

In season, there grew wild strawberries, cranberries, rhubarb, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. The woods were pine trees, spruce trees, elm, oak, maple (ones from which we made maple syrup and maple sugar), birch trees, ferns, natural springs with little brooks, and delightful red mint berries.

I explored all this from the earliest when I could walk, usually by myself, and eating freely of the wild supply of Creations' bounty. I grew with a natural and mutual empathy with all the wildlife and animals that lived in those woods. I had become attuned with nature.

At about age 7-years, when I was then climbing to the very tops of many different Trees each day, I climbed to the top of a 30-meter (nearly 100-foot) tall Pine Tree. Up there, with my Arms wrapped around the top Branches, I was swaying gently with the Wind and admiring the top view of the Forest all around. I suddenly became FLOODED with LOVE, a feeling which seemed to actually be coming from the Tree itself.

By this I know the Trees and all of Nature are/is filled with a living Spirit which is aware of our Presence and our Intent.

At about age 10-years, while walking through the Woods, I came to a large area of chest-high Ferns, surrounded by Spruce and Birch, which I had not seen before. As I waded slowly through these Ferns, unable to even see anything below the Tops, I came out to near the edge of the Ferns close to a granite Boulder. There, sunning itself next to the Boulder, was a Badger. This Badger was the size of a medium Dog. Most people who know them, know they are very territorial, and they can be vicious if cornered.

This one rose up, turned around and started to waddle off into the deep Woods. It stopped alongside the Boulder and turned it's Head around to look at me. Then, to my amazement, as I was looking into it's Eyes, WORDS came CLEARLY into my Mind which said "Go In Peace, O' Man".

By this I know that all the Animals are also Intelligent Spirits, and they CAN communicate with us Humans - IF they CHOOSE, and IF we can LISTEN

One time, while visiting some Friends in Indiana, I went out into their Garden in the evening and sat down next to a Stone Wall to meditate in the serenity of the place. There were Roses, clinging Ivy, and other flowers surrounding me under a large Oak Tree.

After a refreshing deep timeless meditation, upon opening my Eyes, I was surprised to see the Ivy had turned loose Vines and Leaves towards me, some as much as 45-degrees ~2-feet from both sides, as though seeking for the Sun where I was sitting.

Peace

Nice thread, mudra!

I rely on my house plants to help keep my morale up every day. Watching the new shoots come out are a metaphor for hope. And I love looking at the light they soak up...

Thank you friends for coming on this thread. I appreciate your presence here.
Hopefully with some more pictures added to it as it moves along we will build Avalon's garden :)

Finding your post here this morning could'nt have made me more happy Jrod7 .
Thank you for sharing these wonderfull moments. I do understand them.

As Helen Keller says :
"The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart."

I was born a single child and was lucky enough to be raised at places where we had gardens and even lands around.

As a little girl I would sit in my parents garden for hours without seeing the time passing by. I remember well my sense of total communion with the flowers and plants that were dwelling there.
I would rarely pick any of them as I soon realized that by doing so I was taking their life away from them .
I preferred instead being able to remain the witness of their living beauty until the very last moments of their natural cycle.

When I came to live in the city and no more gardens were available I started to have plants.
One I brought home I realized was very sensitive to my presence around her..when I would put my hands above it's leaves it would start to shiver..It would even suddenly shiver by it's own without any rush of air around it .. It was just able to express it's aliveness in it's unique way..

At some point in my life I experienced the darkness of the soul. The wound I had was so deep that it took me many long months to find my way back to the light.
But I did.. during those days I would go and sit daily under a tree I had found in a peacefull little subwood . Quickly we developped a strong bond.
I called the tree " Whisper " as he taught me so many things. He was so much older than me , had lived so many things across centuries ..

He showed me on day that trees through their roots are holding hands . This was such a beautifull image. Not only did I see what he meant but I could as well feel it .
He also made me see the source of Love .. primal love .. it was a warm column of golden light descending from above and pervading all things into oneness.
It was not until my heart chakra opened up a few month ago that I realized that what Whisper had shown me 9 years ago I was now experiencing.

Today I live in the city but the people around my place have gardens and there are many trees ..
When I take walks I always pay attention to the flowers I see .. I say hello to them and I see them smiling at me ..

There was a Great, Huge Pine tree more than 200-ft tall, with the base at least 5-ft diameter, that grew on the lawn of the house there where I grew up. I named him "GrandFather." He was happy with that.

From the top of that one, I could see the blue Lake (Newfound Lake) some two miles over.

Great thread thank you Mudra and thanks for sharing your very interesting and nice experiences JRod and to all for the great pictures.

I'm inspired to do a little gardening here..

I suspect, we are collectively going to become much more aware that all life is not only interconnected, but that it has consciousness behind it, and all life is sacred :).

"Knowledge was inherent in all things. The world was a library and its books were the stones, leaves, grass, brooks and the birds and animals that shared, alike with us, the storms and blessings of the earth. We learn to do what only the student of nature ever learns, and that is to feel beauty. We never rail at the storms, the furious winds, the biting frosts and snows. To do so intensifies human futility, so whatever comes we should adjust ourselves by more effort and energy if necessary, but without complaint. Bright days and dark days are both expressions of the Great Mystery, and the Indian reveled in being close the Great Holiness."

"There is a road in the hearts of all of us, hidden and seldom traveled, which leads to an unkown, secret place. The old people came literally to love the soil, and they sat or reclined on the ground with a feeling of being close to a mothering power. Their teepees were built upon the earth and their altar's were made of earth. The soul was soothing, strengthening, cleansing and healing. That is why the old Indian still sits upon the earth instead of propping himself up and away from its life giving forces. For him, to sit or lie upon the ground is to be able to think more deeply and to feel more keenly. He can see more clearly into the mysteries of life and come closer in kinship to other lives about him."

Beautiful thread, Mudra, thank you.

Last few days, in the mornings, I am gathering cherries from the tree in our small garden. Every time when I go up to the tree, I feel my self like in some other dimension. Surrounded by branches and leafs, there is no outside voices to hear, just the soft silence of the treetop. I feel my self calm and safe with the tree. The tree is happy to give me its fruits, and the cherries are so tasteful when you eat them directly from the branches.

Would like to taste my cherries, friends.

Bloodroot (seen here) is not only striking, but has quite a history. The root and leaf emit a red sap which the Native American Indians used as a dye for fabrics, tools and war paint. It was also used medicinally to treat a variety of ailments.

The flower normally only blooms for a single day.

These are Trilliums, which grow in the Forests. They have a tuber-root, bitter but nourishing in the winter (when you can remember where they were growing). They are found in rich humus only in the deep shady places. A true delight to come upon while walking through the deep woods.

... http://z.about.com/d/healing/1/0/L/S/feg_trillium.jpg

Trillium flower essence helps anyone who is consumed with self-interests. It brings out compassion and a desire to help others. Remedy that brings awareness to a person who feels disconnected from his soul source.

The largest flower in the world only blooms for three days every seven years, but when it does, it's a spectacular and rather smelly occasion.

Not for nothing is it known as the "corpse flower".

You can find it in the rainforests of southern Sumatra.

The growth rate is phenomenal, three inches a day at its peak, with the stem rising from an underground tuber to a height of 10ft or more.

The fishy smell seemed to come in waves - we now know it attracts a species of bees that fertilise the plant.

With these rare plants often separated by several miles, the smell has to be strong to attract the bees to it.

Elaine spends a lot of time in her gardens scattered around our home. She tends to prefer a wilderness type of layout rather than a formal design.
Wallabies also spend time in the gardens and have been known to be destructive - but they were here first so we don't begrudge them the odd plant now and then.

This view is looking out from our back door and is a pleasure to see each morning as well as throughout the day.

http://projectavalon.net/forum/picture.php?albumid=336&pictureid=6949

This section is just to the left of the one above and is a view to the North-west. You'll notice the fence which keeps hares out but it doesn't deter the wallabies - they just hop over it.

We have bird feeders spread around the property and a couple of nesting boxes for the pale headed rosellas. The Kookaburra population has risen from the original four that we here when we first arrived seven tears ago, to 16 at this time.

http://www.tropicalisland.de/DPS%20Bali%20Ubud%20Puri%20Lukisan%20Art%20Museum% 20garden%20lotus%20flower%20b.jpg

The flower has been a part of legends and almost every culture, civilization and religion in the world took up Lotus to teach something or the other to the multitude. According to the Egyptian mythology, Lotus was the flower to be created out of the inert fluid chaos of the world, Nun and the sun God, Atum walked out of it to spread his light allover the Cosmos. One of the versions also suggests that the Sun God emerged out of the petals of the flower as Ra. In Egypt it is rightly taken as a symbol of genesis, revival and restoration.

Though Buddhism adopted the concept of "Om Mani Padme Hum" – a hymn that celebrates the ‘jewel in lotus’-the essence and spirit being invested in the core of all mankind, which can glow into radiant brightness if he can save himself from the debris of life.

Lotus as a flower symbolizes the journey and advancement of the soul through the realization of the material world to be one with the supreme soul.

In Hindu Mythology, the utterance of first,’om’ brought forth the first "golden lotus" and the lotus is also the seat of Brahma (the creator), thus making it a strong creation archetype. The stalk of lotus originating in Vishnu’s (the preserver) navel also presents it as the umbilical cord in the creation of universe. Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity and Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge are also seated on lotus.

Not only in Egyptian and Hindu mythology is it a strong symbol, in China as well, Lotus is a symbol of creation. It also represents the seventh month. It also symbolizes unbreakable relationships taken from the concept of the flexible stalk of the flower. The color of the flower also contributes symbolically, like the white lotus means purity and transcendence; pink lotus signifies the supreme One, the Great Buddha and Goddess Lakshmi; red lotus expresses compassion and passion; blue signifies the supremacy of the eternal over the temporal.

It is said that Tutenkhamen’s body was covered with blue lotus when his tomb was opened in 1922.

Plants are intelligent forms of life who are capable of intention, preference, and a will to survive, thrive and interact. Scientific research indicates that plants communicate with insects, animals, human beings and other plants in order to keep themselves alive and safe. Evidence also reveals that plants are telling us how to achieve health and wholeness for humanity and the earth herself.

Plants Are Just Like People

In research which spans more than 100 years, scientists have been documenting botanical adaptability and the amazing similarities that plants have with animals and people. Studies indicate that what metaphysicians, psychics, shaman, tribal people and sensitives worldwide have been saying about the plant kingdom for millennia is true: plants are intelligent beings who can communicate with us, and, we can communicate with them.

You Can Hurt a Plant’s Feelings

Plants respond not only to insects and animals but to human emotion and intention. Plants can distinguish between people who are feel kindly towards them and people who don't, and our green friends cooperate with people they like. In one experiment a new scientist came to study some test plants. Surprisingly, these test plants which previously had been very responsive, were completely non-responsive during the new scientist's tests. Investigating the change in the plants' response, it was discovered that the new scientist incinerated his plants in his own personal research once his tests were completed. Shortly after the new scientist left, the plants again began registering activity and cooperating.

In another study, scientists found that vegetation reacted negatively to people who found the plants unattractive, even to the extent that the plants would "faint." When over stimulated by emotions, plants will "go unconscious" or numb and can stay " moody" for weeks. Scientific studies show that once plants attune themselves to a particular person, they are able to maintain a link with that person, no matter how far away. These
plants register "knowing" not only when a person is returning to the plants, but when the person makes the decision to return. Other reports show that plants respond to people talking to them in a caring, loving manner, such as asking a tree to radically change its growth direction so that it won't have to be cut, or asking weeds not to grow excessively in a vegetable garden.

I'd like to share with you guys my little experience with plants. I moved to a small acreage beginning May of this year because I wanted to learn how to grow food. All I can say is its absolutely amazing to work with plants and gardens.

I didn't even know what a perennial was until a few months ago so believe me, if I can do this anyone can. I have more food then I can possibly hope to eat after only 1 1/2 months!

I swear eating these foods is so magical, I have never tasted or felt anything like it before. Its energy of the highest order. wow this thread is hitting on all 8 synchronystic cylinders for me! amazing!
Mudra - My dad took me to see this at Cinema 99 in Concord NH in 1979 - I was 11 years old. It profoundly impacted me.

JRod 7 -I love Newfound Lake - been there many times! Spent my youth in NH as well!

tone3jaguar - My aunt used to tell me about Findhorn when I was young all the time. I promised her if I ever made a million dollars I would fly her out there for a trip.

Ptha - I too had the office job behind a PC all day and now am living surrounded by the most abundant plant life I've ever seen! Its worth every dollar I don't make anymore!:naughty:

Thanks to everyone on this thread for giving me an incredible blast from the past!

Really really cool tone. I was thinking not long ago that being a greens keeper would a great way to learn about landscaping and so forth. Looks amazing!

Here is a pic of part of my secret life with plants. I have managed horticulture and agronomy on golf courses the Findhorn Way for years. Large scale transformational energy techniques on the land combined with working hand in hand with nature spirits can result in pics like this.

Someone posted about climbing to the tops of trees, I relate to that so much. When I was young and nimble I used to love nothing more than waiting for a windy day when I could climb my favourite tree all the way to the top and get whipped around hanging on for dear life but with an overwhelming feeling of being one with the tree itself.
I have more to say but will leave off here.

Plants Have Souls - And Gifts for Humans

Plants are intelligent forms of life who are capable of intention, preference, and a will to survive, thrive and interact. Scientific research indicates that plants communicate with insects, animals, human beings and other plants in order to keep themselves alive and safe. Evidence also reveals that plants are telling us how to achieve health and wholeness for humanity and the earth herself.

Plants Are Just Like People

In the book, "The Secret Life of Plants," authors Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird describe how plants "talk to" people and what plants "talk" about. Staying alive and safe tops the list.

To protect themselves, plants have developed highly adaptive and strategic ways for living. According to the authors, "Plants seem to know which ants will steal their nectar, closing when these ants are about, opening only when there is enough dew on their stems to keep the ants from climbing. The more sophisticated acacia plant actually enlists the protective services of certain ants which it rewards with nectar in return for the ants' protection against other insects and herbivorous mammals," thus serving the same function as friends and allies do in the animal and human realms. Some vegetation develop a bitter taste, some ooze gummy secretions, while others grow thorns to defend themselves.

Prickles for the Pussy

Once plants feel safe, however, they may drop their need for defense. In one study, a scientist wanted to determine if cacti grow needles primarily for the purpose of keeping themselves from harm. Safely housed in a greenhouse, the scientist talked to numerous cacti assuring them that they were protected and that he cared about them. He encouraged the plants to feel even more secure by playing soothing music in the greenhouse. Within several months the cacti dropped all their spikes. The offspring of these bare cacti were born without needles. Defenseless within this nurturing environment, the mature and new-born cacti prospered. After a period of a year of being without their protective quills, the cacti suddenly began re-growing their bristles and new baby sprouts were born with needles again. After some investigation, it was discovered that a house cat had found its way into the greenhouse. Suspecting that the cat may be the source of the perceived threat to the cacti causing the reemergence of their means of protection, the scientist blocked the cat's way of entry. Once the cacti sensed they were once again safe, all of the cacti dropped their prickly means of defense.

Yes they are, the plants themselves are 2nd density consciousness. However, the devas that are basically their oversouls are very intelligent. The exist in a special realm called the Devic realm. They love to work with us to help us manage the health of plants. I had teams of devas watching over the soil, water, air, and plants on the golf courses I managed. I could even ask them what the exact nutrient levels where in the plants and get accurate answers from them through use of the dowsing pendulum. I once had the head of PGA tour agronomy sit down and go to school off of me for 2 hours. This was 3 years after I had graduated from Turf School.

Cool story Tone3.

I agree, plants, gardens, forest have elemental life that maintain their form and yes, when you 'tune' our consciousness to their station, you can communicate and work with them. In fact, this is how it is supposed to be for all of us, we're supposed to be working hand in hand with the elementals (devas as you call them), and the angels as well, and this will indeed occur in the open during the coming age.

Until then, elemental life is very burdened down with human discord. They get weighed down by our own low vibrations and emotions so from what I understand, the best thing we can do for the vegetable and animal kingdom is work on our own stuff, overcome our own problems, negativity and fears, and this will enable the elementals and angels to help improve our world in vast ways.

Who Says Plants Can't Move?

http://img.hgtv.com/HGTV/2008/08/21/gby1704_3b_tendrils_lg.jpg

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/193/490023900_34bb266c56_b.jpg

In order to stay alive, plants have learned to move and do so in remarkable fashion, for extraordinary purposes and with high, extra-sensory intelligence. "Plants," says Viennese biologist, Raoul France "move their bodies as freely, easily and gracefully as the most skilled animal or human, and the only reason we don' t appreciate the fact is that plants do so at a much slower pace than humans. A climbing plant. which needs a prop, will creep toward the nearest support. Should this support be shifted, the vine, within a few hours, will change its course into a new direction." Plants will even grow towards a support that's hidden from view. France continues, "Plants are capable of intent: they can stretch toward, or seek out, what they want in ways as mysterious as the most fantastic creations of romance." As Thomkins and Bird relate, "Some parasitical plants can recognize the slightest trace of the odor of their victim and will overcome all obstacles to crawl in its direction."

Yes they do move, the interesting thing is that they follow the Coriolis Effect. Things like the vines in the picture above and the stems of creeping grasses all twist (torsian) one way above the equator and the same exact plant will twist the opposite way below the equator. This is a well known scientific fact in the field of horticulture. They have yet to figure out why in the mainstream.

YouTube - Seedling Time Lapse

The behavior of plants and the ways they interact reveal awareness. For instance, there is a warning system among pine trees in a forest and interaction between individuals of a species. There are also responses between kingdoms. Some of the finest examples of interspecies communication are to be found where insects, such as bees, form a symbiosis with flowering plants, serving as pollinators in return for nectar and pollen. Interaction reaches a peak in the orchid family which displays some amazing forms of flowers as well as highly ingenious methods of pollination. The lady's slipper traps a bee in a chamber and frees it by a special exit only after pollination. One group of the genus Ophrys mimics wasps and certain species of flies in a harmless deception. It produces a likeness to the female insect along with an irresistible scent, which attracts the male to try to mate with the flower, thus pollinating it. The timing is synchronized so that the flowers bloom just when the male insects hatch out. Insects and plants have perfected, by mutual awareness, a relationship lasting millions of years.

Youuuuuuu Might just be a Shaman!

Don't know about that. But it was during a very active awakening time for me.And the setting there, in a small canyon with its lovely stream, so quiet and magic, was conducive to such communications. Lots of people see auras. My sister does, I don't, more likely to FEEL energies of plants, people, rocks, animals.

Also, as we look at these fabulous images in this Avalon Garden, we realize it's the colour vibrations and wondrous patterns of the plants, the flowers which thrills us, speak to us. Divine designs all,we have an endless display from Nature's art. But I must admit, the energies from the big trees is something else. There are some ancient redwoods in parks which were little ones when Chist walked the Earth.

The Sophisticated Musical Tastes of Plants

Through their animated responses to classical and heavy rock music, plants further divulge their preferences. In studies of plants exposed to heavy rock music, the plants not only grew away from the music source, but some grew either abnormally tall and put out excessively small leaves or remained stunted. In some cases the plants died. When classical music was played to the plants, the plants grew toward the music source with healthy growth. The same plants, marigolds, who died when listening to rock music, flowered when listening to classical music. The authors report, "the rock-stimulated plants were using much more water than the classically entertained vegetation, but
apparently enjoying it less, since examination of the roots revealed that soil root growth was sparse in the rock group, whereas in the classical group, root growth was thick, tangled and about four times as long."

In India, Dr. T. C. Singh, in his studies of music and plants, stated that he had "proven beyond any shadow of doubt that harmonic sound waves affect the growth, flowering, fruiting and seed-yield of plants." Singh also reported that girls dancing India's most ancient dance style accelerated the growth of daisies, marigolds and petunias. The dancing caused them to flower much earlier than the control group of plants, presumably because of the rhythm of the footwork transmitted through the earth.

Many studies have been conducted on communication with plants. Not only do plants react to human touch, but they are listening to us. You might wonder: how do plants hear? Well, they don't have ears. Plants seem to have another way of listening, though, perhaps through some sort of a universal vibe...

Consider Dr. T.C. Singh who, in 1950 when he was performing experiments on hydrillas with the encouragement of Professor Julian Henry Huxley, was excited to discover that the raga, a devotional song rising out of South Indian tradition, did in fact have a "religious" effect on the plant species-- among other physical growth, the hydrillas' stomata per unit area was 66% higher than in control plants. Singh since has conducted his raga experiment with various other types of plants, including economic ones such as radishes and sweet potatoes, and believes that he has "proven beyond any shadow of doubt that harmonic sound waves affect the growth, flower, fruiting, and seed-yields of plants." It is interesting how this relates to the ancient myth of Lord Krishna, the eighth and principal avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu who induced plants to blossom by singing ragas to them.

Other studies have shown that Bach's sonatas work as a nutrient supplement for plants, and those that listened to George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" 24/7 sprouted earlier than those kept in silence. The following video on an experiment conducted by Dorothy Retallack reveals the music that plants prefer:

Plant Devas Caught on Camera!

Kirlian photography is now able to verify the existence of living, changing light radiating from plants. And many "seers" and scientists have seen light emanations and moving forms coming from plants. Hindu sages refer to devas. Clairvoyants and other sensitives are able to directly see and communicate with the fairies, elves, gnomes, sylphs and other creatures which live in and among plants.

Tompkins and Bird conclude, "Evidence now supports the vision that plants are living, breathing, communicating creatures, endowed with personality and the attributes of soul."

kirlian

Semyon Davidovich Kirlian was a Russian scientist, utilizes electric voltage to develop his technique of photography, living objects are photographed upon metal plate charged with high frequency, voltage of electricity. He studied bioenergy field of living objects. He observed the dry out of living objects becomes less conductive and eventually weakening of the electrical field.

http://mivatheque.com/webimage/appkir.jpg

corona

Kirlian photography is shown the well known phenomenon of corona discharge. that is under certain condition, the local electric field near to conductor highly concentrated to produce electric charge that can ionize air. This discharge of electrical energy is called corona discharge. Corona can transform discharge energy into small amount of sound, radio noise, heat and chemical reaction of the air to produce ozone.

http://mivatheque.com/webimage/leafkir2.jpg

template of energy body

The existence of template energy body is supported by experimental neuroscientist Burr by his study of energy fields of living organisms of plants and animals. He discovered the electric field around the young sprout was not the shape of seed, but electric field resemble of grown adult plant. This fact shows growing plants are predestined to follow the templates of energy field, that is configuration of electromagnetic qualities of each species of living organisms.

phantom leaf effect

The electrography shows energy field of entire leaf eventhough certain portion of leaf is cut off physically. The phenomena explains the mover principle of subtler matter and existence of hypothetical matter called ether by ancient philosophers.

http://thailand.ipm-info.org/images/crops/durian/Durian_flowers_some_already_pollinated.JPG

http://thailand.ipm-info.org/images/crops/durian/Durian_fruits.JPG

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9a/Durio_kutej_F_070203_ime.jpg/300px-Durio_kutej_F_070203_ime.jpg

The durian is the fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio and the Malvaceae family (although some taxonomists place Durio in a distinct family, Durionaceae). Widely known and revered in southeast Asia as the "king of fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk. The fruit can grow as large as 30 centimetres long and 15 centimetres (6 in) in diameter, and it typically weighs one to three kilograms (2 to 7 lb). Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the colour of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale-yellow to red, depending on the species.
The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia.
The durian, native to Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia, has been known to the Western world for about 600 years. The 19th-century British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace famously described its flesh as "a rich custard highly flavoured with almonds". The flesh can be consumed at various stages of ripeness, and is used to flavour a wide variety of savoury and sweet edibles in Southeast Asian cuisines. The seeds can also be eaten when cooked.

The Tickle Me Plant

YouTube - Most Viewed Video Today

"Dan Carlson is the inventor of the Sonic Bloom system. What motivates Carlson is a horrifying event he witnessed in the early 1960s. In Korea as an enlisted soldier he was obliged to watch, impotently, a starving Korean mother lay the legs of her small child beneath the rear wheel of an army truck: crushed legs created an authentic cripple, entitled to a family-saving food subsidy.

Back home, entitled to the GI Bill of Rights, Carlson spent many hours in the University of Minnesota library, studying plant physiology. Struck by the idea that certain sound frequencies might help a plant breathe better and absorb more nutrients, he experimented with various frequencies until, with the help of an audio engineer, he found one range that was consonant with the early morning bird chirping that helps plants open wider their stomata, or mouth-like pores.

On every leaf there are thousands of such small openings. Each stoma--less that 1/1000 of inch across--allows oxygen and water to pass out of the leaf, or transpire, while other gases, notably carbon dioxide, move in to be transformed by photosynthesis into sugars. During dry conditions, the stomata close to prevent a wilting plant from drying out completely.

Photomicrographs show plant stomata opening wider to Carlson's frequencies, while a Philips 505 Scanning Electron Microscope shows substantially higher stomata density on a leaf treated with Sonic Bloom; additionally, the individual stomata are more developed and better defined."

My Work with Nature Spirits (Devas)
A documentary note of work in progress

Oliver W. Markley

Ver 2.0, February 3, 2003

Please note: If you are not familiar with the idea of nature spirits (“devas”), I strongly suggest that before reading this note you read “Excerpts from To Speak with Angels ”—a tight summary and compilation of what I found most pivotal in Dorothy Maclean’s (1980) autobiography telling the story of why and how she learned to communicate with the plant spirits (which she came to call Devas ) at the Findhorn Gardens in Scotland. Her full book title is: To Hear the Angels Sing: An Odyssey of Co-Creation with the Devic Kingdom.
Part One: Introduction

This is an unusual story. One dealing with nature spirits (“devas”) and their capacity to help human concerns—phenomena that are part of the mythologies of most traditional cultures, but which are dismissed by modern day scientists as “mere” superstition, even though considerable evidence exists that they can be real. Just as with the healing power of prayer, unimpeachable evidence of which now exists, even though it is still considered superstition by many who consider themselves “scientific.”

By way of beginning, I suppose this story should commence with a remarkable experience that happened, as a retired professor now living on the Hawaiian “garden island” of Kauai, when I was fortunate to find a lovely retreat “hermitage” cottage in a region of high intensity spiritual energy—the Kapahi district surrounded by Kahuna Road, immediately below the sacred mountain of Makaleha. To get to the cottage, I had to drive by a nursery called “Growing Greens”—a place that totally got my attention because, before even getting within sight of the nursery, I could always discern a very large and intense energy surrounding the nursery—an energy that I could only associate with the type of nature spirits called plant devas by the people at Findhorn Gardens in North Scotland. (More will be said about the Plant Devas at Findhorn later on.)

At first I didn’t give this energy any particular notice, other than to make a mental note to visit the nursery soon, so as to see what is happening there. But something else happened first. Something that totally got my attention, and made it imperative that I connect with the nursery for more than a cursory visit.

The Egyptian "Walking" Onion

As their scientific name "Allium proliferum" states, these hardy little onions are very "prolific". After planting them in your garden you will have onions every year for years to come! Egyptian Walking Onions are also called "Tree Onions, Egyptian Tree Onions, Top Onions, or Perennial Onions."

http://www.egyptianwalkingonion.com/images/the%20wonderful%20walking%20onion.JPG
The wonderful walking onion.

Egyptian Walking Onions are one of the first plants to emerge in the spring. The greens (leaves) will grow up to 3 feet tall. When they reach their full height a miniature bouquet of flowers will bloom at the top. When the flowers become fertilized each one will produce a little bulblet. Each bulblet looks like a miniature onion. A bulblet is also referred to as a "set". Egyptian Walking Onion sets are smaller than the ordinary garden variety onion sets. They range in size from 1/4 inch to 1 inch. Every Egyptian Walking Onion plant will produce a cluster of bulblets at the top, hence the name, "Top Onion," meaning they are top-setting onions. Each cluster can have as few as two sets, or as many as 20 sets. Sometimes a new leaf will emerge from a cluster of top-sets like a little branch, and a second cluster will grow from it, hence the name, "Tree Onion." Eventually the clusters will get heavy enough to pull the plant over to the ground where the bulblets will take root and grow new onion plants in a new location, hence the name, "Walking Onion." These onions will literally walk all around your garden! In the ground, the Egyptian Walking Onion plant produces a small onion which can be harvested. If left in the ground, the onion will produce offsets and form a cluster of onions.

Yea, seeds are a very fascinating subject to just sit there and ponder upon.

It's amazing how many plants create these seeds seemingly out of nowhere, and in massive amounts, all packed full of life, in such an itty bitty shell, which then create solid matter out of water, thin air, and sunlight. Lots of matter at that!

More proof creation is not just a big accident. :yikes:

GREAT ! seeds, seedlings, sprouts...my favourite food !

http://www.edenseeds.com.au/cms/graphics/images/Newsletter_Autumn2009_Sprouts.jpg

Why eat sprouts? There are many reasons.
In addition to providing the highest amount of
vitamins, minerals, proteins and
enzymes of any food per unit of calorie,
sprouts deliver them in a form which is easily
assimilated and digested.
In fact, sprouts improve the efficiency
of digestion.
Sprouts are also deliciously fresh and colourful.

http://www.motherearthnews.com/uploadedImages/articles/issues/2006-12-01/Seed-starting-basics-1.jpg

Sprouts are nutritious. They are baby plants in their prime.
They have a greater concentration of vitamins and minerals, proteins, enzymes (http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/enzymes.htm), phytochemicals, anti-oxidants,
nitrosamines, trace minerals, bioflavinoids and chemo-protectants such as sulphoraphane and isoflavone which work against toxins, resist cell mutation and invigorate
the body's immune system (http://www.healingdaily.com/conditions/colostrum.htm) than at any other point in the plant's life even when compared with the mature vegetable.

http://www.treehugger.com/jatropha-seed-sprout.jpg

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of
Medicine have discovered that 3-day old broccoli (http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/broccoli.htm) sprouts have exceptionally high amounts of a natural cancer-fighting compound.
For many years, scientists have known that vegetables
in the cabbage family benefit health.
Recently, they've been successful in drilling down further to uncover those benefits, and the reasons why eating such foods can reduce the risk of disease. Dr. Paul Talalay and
his colleagues, researching this question for over 20 years, showed that some varieties of vegetables such as broccoli (http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/broccoli.htm) contain high amounts of a substance called 'sulforaphane'
which helped support antioxidants, such as vitamins C (http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/vitamin-c.htm) and vitamin E (http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/vitamin-e.htm).(1)
This is another example of the synergy which we often find in nature.
Next, the researchers found when testing
tender shoots of broccoli (http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/broccoli.htm) at the 3-day-old stage that they contained high amounts of a concentrated form of the cancer fighter, 20 to 50 times more than in mature brocoli. (2)

The Japanese Camellia (Camellia japonica) is one of the best known species of Camellia. It is a member of the Theaceae family or tea family. It is a flowering shrub or a small tree native to Japan, Korea and China. It is also the official state flower of Alabama. It is also called the “rose of winter.”

The genus of the Camellia japonica was named after a Jesuit priest and botanist named George Kamel. Carl Linnaeus gave Camellia japonica the specific epithet japonica because Engelbert Kaempfer was the first to give a description of the plant while in Japan.

Camellia japonica is valued for its beautiful flowers, which can be single, semi-double flowered or double flowered. Camellias were introduced into Europe during the 18th century and had already been cultivated in the Orient for thousands of years. Robert James of Essex, England, is thought to have brought back the first live Camellia to England in 1739. Camellias were first sold in 1807 in an American nursery as greenhouse plants, but were soon sold to be grown outdoors in the south.

Camellia japonica has appeared in paintings and porcelain since the 11th century. Early paintings of the plant are usually of the single red flowering type. However, a single white flowering plant is shown in the scroll of the Four Magpies of the Song Dynasty. Camellias are seen as lucky symbols for the Chinese New Year and spring and were even used as offerings to the gods during the Chinese New Year. It is also thought that Chinese women would never wear a Camellia in their hair because it opened much later after the bud formed. This was thought to signify that she would not have a son for a long time.

One of the most important plants related to Camellia japonica is the Camellia sinensis, which is the plant tea comes from. This plant is not usually grown in gardens because it has small white flowers, unlike the Camellia japonica, which has larger, more beautiful flowers. It is not seen in art as often as the Camellia japonica, but it is shown in a painting called the Song Hundred Flowers which hangs in the Palace Museum in Beijing. Camellia sinensis may have been used as medicine during the Shang Dynasty. It was first used for drinking during the Zhou Dynasty.

Remedy that brings awareness to a person who feels disconnected from his soul source.

thank you for posting these beautiful flowers- they grew in the forest around m y childhood home, where they are protected by law in Ontario, as tey are the representative flower for the province. It was stated that if picked, they take seven years to grow back. They grew in beautiful abundance in white and more rarely in this lovely deep purple maroon color. When walking in the woods and one comes across them you can feel a quiet hush, on the land rarely were these areas tred upon -- the sacred feeling caused people to speak more quietly softly, and stop and admire before moving on. Reading what you have written about these flowers it is true-- as people responded to their essence without knowing why!

Along with the Flowers, there will come the Bees and the Butterflies. An example of the Symbiosis in Nature, the interdependence of ALL Life.

We should all remember that we Humans are also an interdependent part of Nature. Most People have forgotten this in the day-to-day work-traffic-TV-sleep-work cycle in the cities. Cities without Nature ... People, get yourselves out into the Wilderness 3- or 4-months each Year ... Reconnect. 'Nuff "preachin'."

Flowers need Butterflies:
Pipevine Swallowtails =

Pipevine Caterpillar

http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/Insects/Pipevine%20Swallowtail/PipevineSwallowtailLTB.jpg

http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/Insects/Pipevine%20Swallowtail/pipevine2496.jpg

As adults, Pipevine Swallowtails' food is flower nectar. Some of the flowers they visit include honeysuckles, milkweeds, and thistles. Besides getting food, they help the plants by pollinating them.

My Daughter and Granddaughter visited with us this weekend. We took them over to a Butterfly Atrium. Like a large hothouse full of many Blooming Flowers, a waterfall, stream and Lilly-pond with goldfish. The place was full of so many different Butterflies, awesome.

As we were leaving, the Host gave my Granddaughter a live Caterpillar of the Pipevine Swallowtail, in a clear cup with a bunch of Pipevine leaves for it to eat. She said she heard it munching those leaves most of the night. Before they left for home today, it was starting to make itself into a Chrysalis =

http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/Insects/Pipevine%20Swallowtail/041.jpg

So,to keep it around their house, they will need to plant Flowers to make nectar for the Butterfly = Honeysuckles, and food for new Caterpillars = Pipevine.

He can see more clearly into the mysteries of life and come closer in kinship to other lives about him."

the Roundhouse or Ani (cherokee/tsalagi) in this picture reminds me of something that happened last summer. I am part tsalagi and had gone during the summer to spend time with the healers in the deep woods. They had built an Ani on the land, close to a stream where we would go to cool of after the sweats. several people were fasting (vision quest) and we prayed and sweat for them. At the end of the four days, there was a very traditional ceremony as it was hundreds of years ago.

we gathered in the Ani for ceremony and feast of thanksgiving, it was night so we had only the light of the fire and a few candles. I looked around the Circle of Friends and things shifted, the energy changed and I saw us all as we would have dressed several hundred years ago. we all spoke in one tongue of our native language, not english as we had been before the energy shifted. I was given the honor to pray over the Water for our ceremony, and many of my friends were given honor for devotion to their heart ways of peace, healing. giving. We were all happy, smiling without jealousy or pride, for it is the Creator that had given us these gifts to be shared and through this the Creator was honored...not egos...they call these cellular memories, and I have them in different parts of the land. transported in time to see things as they were then...and will be one day in the future.

By sharing our good feelings for each other here on Avalon, through words, energy and pictures....we are honoring the Creator, Life, Soul, and the Heart of the Earth, for they listen and smile back their love, and we can feel it.

and that is a blessed place to be...in heart mind and soul...no matter where our feet may be resting now...

I say hello to them and I see them smiling at me ..

a very moving story Mudra...when the trees whisper its a sound that always brings healing, love to the heart, in the language without words. My mother and I spoke on the phone earlier about our love for whisper trees, and just now I read your story and found you also know the them.

as the trees shade from the harsh sun and give fruit and nuts, they protect from strong winds, and hold the soil from erosion, they love us and give us good air to breathe, they are young and grandfather trees, healing, purity and steady strong trees. trees who have a story to tell, a song to whisper and souls to love and nuture...a young and vibrant mudra to love and be loved sharing and caring with the same selfless whispers of spirit....from our hearts to yours and from yours to ours....timeless wordless knowing from the Creation ...and to...

After really 'getting into' Dowsing last year when I started checking resonance with my frequency generator, I was advised to subject my drinking water to 10,000Hz.

I had an idea then, to dowse my houseplants to see if they preferred the 10KH20?
Most of them objected strongly to tap water and preferred the 10K water, so I keep a bucket of water under the generator for them.

I had another idea the other day- to ask the plants whether they were in the best place / position in the room, and whether they 'got on with' the plants next to them?
Interesting results- moved quite a few until they were all happy! {Didn't appear to be an 'personality clashes', luckily!}

I am also in the process of asking them all which fertiliser they would prefer, when the time comes? They all like different things... going to have to write it all down!
{I follow the Lunar Organics wallchart for planting and fertilising; http://www.lunarorganics.com/ }

Just asked one of them whether they prefer 10,00 Hz, or 528? That particular one prefers 528... got a lot of work to do this week :)

Do not fear the dragonfly. Such a lovely creature :)

"Immortal amarant, a flower which once
In paradise, fast by the tree of life,
Began to bloom; but soon for man's offence
To heaven removed, where first it grew, there grows,
And flowers aloft, shading the fount of life,
And where the river of bliss through midst of heaven
Rolls o'er elysian flowers her amber stream:
With these that never fade the spirits elect
Bind their resplendent locks."

Seashore the photos below are from a baby hedgehog

A hedgehog is any of the spiny mammals of the subfamily Erinaceinae and the order Erinaceomorpha. There are 16 species of hedgehog in five genera, found through parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and New Zealand. There are no hedgehogs native to Australia, and no living species native to North America; those in New Zealand are introduced. Hedgehogs have changed little over the last 15 million years. Like many of the first mammals they have adapted to a nocturnal, insectivorous way of life. The name 'hedgehog' came into use around the year 1450, derived from the Middle English 'heyghoge', from 'heyg', 'hegge' = hedge, because it frequents hedgerows, and 'hoge', 'hogge' = hog, from its piglike snout. Other folk names include 'urchin', 'hedgepig' and 'furze-pig' .

We are part of that heart that is true, some shine through with different reflections as a diamond does reflract light...these are like blessed qualities to me ...such as artistic talent, linguistic talent, animals, music, people, some are logical and some shine heart qualities, yet all come through with humility

as you shine to me..the heart qualities

all those different petals of qualities make the rose and as the Light shines and illuminates their beauty...without which could not be without those petals

Song of The Flower
I am a kind word uttered and repeated
By the voice of Nature;
I am a star fallen from the
Blue tent upon the green carpet.
I am the daughter of the elements
With whom Winter conceived;
To whom Spring gave birth; I was
Reared in the lap of Summer and I
Slept in the bed of Autumn.

At dawn I unite with the breeze
To announce the coming of light;
At eventide I join the birds
In bidding the light farewell.

The plains are decorated with
My beautiful colors, and the air
Is scented with my fragrance.

As I embrace Slumber the eyes of
Night watch over me, and as I
Awaken I stare at the sun, which is
The only eye of the day.

I drink dew for wine, and hearken to
The voices of the birds, and dance
To the rhythmic swaying of the grass.

I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath;
I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.

But I look up high to see only the light,
And never look down to see my shadow.
This is wisdom which man must learn.

- Khalil Gibran

MANGROVES OR THE "WALKING" TREES

http://s.ngm.com/2007/02/mangroves/img/mangroves-615.jpg

Mangroves live life on the edge. With one foot on land and one in the sea, these botanical amphibians occupy a zone of desiccating heat, choking mud, and salt levels that would kill an ordinary plant within hours. Yet the forests mangroves form are among the most productive and biologically complex ecosystems on Earth. Birds roost in the canopy, shellfish attach themselves to the roots, and snakes and crocodiles come to hunt. Mangroves provide nursery grounds for fish; a food source for monkeys, deer, tree-climbing crabs, even kangaroos; and a nectar source for bats and honeybees.

http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:large/view:main/590376-4-mangroves-at-dawn.jpg

As a group, mangroves can't be defined too closely. There are some 70 species from two dozen families—among them palm, hibiscus, holly, plumbago, acanthus, legumes, and myrtle. They range from prostrate shrubs to 200-foot-high (60 meters) timber trees. Though most prolific in Southeast Asia, where they are thought to have originated, mangroves circle the globe. Most live within 30 degrees of the Equator, but a few hardy types have adapted to temperate climates, and one lives as far from the tropical sun as New Zealand. Wherever they live, they share one thing in common: They're brilliant adapters. Each mangrove has an ultrafiltration system to keep much of the salt out and a complex root system that allows it to survive in the intertidal zone. Some have snorkel-like roots called pneumatophores that stick out of the mud to help them take in air; others use prop roots or buttresses to keep their trunks upright in the soft sediments at tide's edge.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3642/3364163551_d70ecf03c9.jpg

These plants are also landbuilders par excellence. Some Aborigines in northern Australia believe one mangrove species resembles their primal ancestor, Giyapara, who walked across the mudflats and brought the tree into existence. The plants' interlocking roots stop riverborne sediments from coursing out to sea, and their trunks and branches serve as a palisade that diminishes the erosive power of waves.

I am sure one day we will all walk through it and enjoy it's beauty in 4th D and beyond !

This is a flower from Thailand .
It is also a protected species and not allowed to be exported.
This will be the only way we will be able to view this flower.

I love my wee bit of garden :)

Had a severe phobia of worms all my life which prevented me from going near soil, until 3 years ago, when I attended a TFT {Thought Field Therapy} one-day-course. I knew little about TFT, and wondered if it might be something that might help others with MS? {i run a self-help / Therapy Group for folk with MS}
Anyhow, we did a little work on phobias / fears / addictions- I worked on my worm-phobia and after that, I was able to garden with Bare Hands- NO Gloves!!!!!! {I was previously not even able to say, or write the "W" word!!}

i have since been able to pick up worms that strayed onto the path without my blood pressure or heart rate shooting up! I kid ye not- Most Amazing therapy!!

http://www.rogercallahan.com/news/about TFT info

Anyhow, back to plants :)

I 'asked' some more houseplants if they were happy enough where they were situated- my big old Spider-plant said no, so I have moved him with another trailing plant that was happy enough to swap places... will see if he picks up any?

I also started asking them all, if they were happy enough with the type of water and feed / fertiliser I am using? Only 2 'said' they would prefer something different - went through a list of everything I knew of until they 'said' yes :)

Clive {my Clivea} is now flowering & my outdoor Hosta has 4 flowers appearing :)

I talk to them all the time...

I also personally believe that having an Orgone generator in the house is doing wonders for my plants... an Ebay shop I use regularly; http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/WISDOM-OF-THE-LIGHT__W0QQ_armrsZ1

They deliver quick- not sure if they ship to the US / outside of the UK?
I bought a pyramid, and wear a pendant Every day- I truly believe it makes a difference. {Everyone I have lent a pyramid or pendant to, goes & buys their own after trying it!}

Blessings to you all

Blessings Mudra :)

Thank you for your kind words, I'm really touched...

"You are gifted dear !"
Naw, I'm just mad! {Well, so my family & some of my friends keep telling me! LOL I just try to keep an open mind and heart.}

"Your wisdom and love for our green companions has really no bounderies."
I'm just so glad I was able to overcome my 'worm-phobia' and eventually settle down in one place long enough to keep hold of my houseplants :)

"Keep posting here .It's a delight to read you ."
Thank you! I'll try and upload a photo of my Clivea in flower when I take one tomorrow!

I only have a tiny patch for flowers at the front of my house, and dug a narrow strip under the window at the back- I planted an onion that had sprouted in the vegetable rack, harvested 4 wee onions last autumn, so planted another, and it survived the winter - now flowering away, and I am so confident in it, I have entered "3 Onions" in our local agricultural Show in August! LOL
I planted another 4, and a clove of garlic that sprouted, and they're all doing really well too! Talk to them daily of course :)

Lunar Organics lunar gardening calendar - that's the key! Tells you when best to plant / fertilise etc.
http://www.lunarorganics.com/

And an old bit of folklore up here; Pulling weeds when the 'water is flowing' is much easier! {when the tide is coming in}

Happy Gardening all :)

TEA

http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/extension/newsletters/hortupdate/jan01/teaplfin.jpg

The tea plant is a flowering evergreen shrub. It belongs to the Camellia family and the correct botanical name is Camellia sinensis.
There are two subspecies:
var. sinensis (originally from China)
var. assamica (originally from Assam).
They are also called Thea sinensis or Thea assamica.

China tea bushes (Camillia sinensis var. sinensis) were discovered over 3000 years ago. It can grow up to four meters and has small, fine leaves. It is cold resistant and grows slowly. Because of this the Chinese tea plant produces not many leaves but they have a very fine aroma.
The Assam tea plant (Camillia sinensis var. assamica) was only discovered in the 1820th in North India. It is actually a tropical tree and can reach a height of 15-20 meters. This tea plant grows much quicker than the Chinese one, has bigger leaves and produces a stronger flavour.
There is a third, artificial sort: the Hybrid plant. This is a cross of the two original plants. The tea farmers try to combine the weather resistance of the Chinese bush and the fast growth of the Assam tree.
Most of the tea we drink in Europe today comes from Hybrid plants.

The tea plant is reproduced by cuttings (a twig with one leaf and one bud).

http://blog.americanfeast.com/images/Tea%20Plant%20Flower.jpg

They are grown for 6-18 months (depending on location and weather) in a so called nursery before they can be planted into the field. You need 15 - 20,000 plants for one hectare tea field.
It is very important to cut the bushes regulary. After 2-3 years growing and constant cutting the plant reaches a height of approx. 1 metre with a dense roof of twigs and leaves. Now the plucking can start.
The tea leaves are picked between Spring and Autumn. Depending on location, weather and the sort of tea plant the leaves can be picked every 7th - 14th day.
Similar to the production of wine, the final taste and quality of tea are influenced by many important contributory factors: climate, soil, altitude, conditions, how and when it is plucked and processed. Tea leaves grow slower at high altitude. A combination of cool air and humidity promotes the desired slow growth. The higher a tea is grown, the more flavour it has and the finer its quality. Many of the world's most famous teas, high grown Ceylon's and the finest Darjeeling's, come from bushes cultivated 1,500 m above sea level.

Inside each one of us is a beautiful flower garden.
This is the garden of the soul. With each lesson
we learn, the garden grows. As we learn together,
our individual gardens form a tranquil paradise.
