View Full Version : Questioning our friends

It seems to me like more and more people I know are questioning their "true friends" lately. I wonder if it's a sign of a greater awakening? It seems vague but there's really nothing wrong with examining relationships in your life and finding value in them. It just seems like people are starting to awaken slowly.

How much are they a true friend to me ?
How much am I a true friend to them ?
How much am I a true friend to myself ?
Yes these are good questions on the way to awakening :thumb_yello:

HJ, I'm glad I'm not alone in this. And, I wonder too if others have had the same questions lately, because until the past week, I've never really given it much thought. For some reason, I woke up one day and the question was there clearly in my mind wondering who I can actually call "friend", and who are simply "acquaintances". My Daddy told me long ago that if you can count on one hand your true friends, then you are fortunate indeed. I came up with not quite a handful, but I still feel lucky to have them. I don't think it's the quantities that count, as the quality and loyalty of their friendship. I think we all get caught up our own lives. I decided not to dwell on the question of who is or isn't a true friend of mine, but to just continue being who I am and letting those who are as yet unknown friends flow into my life.

I've never really thought about it because anyone that has respect for me is a friend. I suppose I should use acquaintance instead for words. There's only like 2-3 real friends in my life. I suppose that over time, it'll become clearer. Until then, I don't worry.

Respect is a valuable thing to have from your friends HJ. The thing I value most here on Avalon is that when I see folks sharing different opinions and beliefs with each other, while still respecting one another. There are too many that tend to criticize in a personal way when they disagree.

It's Not the friend/friends; It's Not the you/yours what it IS... Is what 777
described in his X-Men thread as " CHI " [He was ahead of his time]....
We was/is Right and your living it right now !!!
The electrons coming from the Sun, has permanently changed...
The Vibration/Frequency has increased and it has changed everything...
If, I had 10.00 bill for every time I've heard me described as " Weird " in my
lifetime. I could feed the whole Phoenix valley for a year...
Just go with the flow, so to speak... I'm sensitive to things N' leave it there.
Trooly,
