not sure where i should post this, (or even WHY?)

and maybe its already known?

anyway, one view of a post is counted as two views. So all viewing figures are 100% bigger than they should be. any reason?

I don't think so, cos when i looked at this post it said 3 views, does that mean 1.5 people looked at it?:lmao:

no, first post is counted as 1....i looked in again immediately and it went up to 3. i was playing with threads, im sure it double counts...
(and yes I know there should be therefore no even number counts)..however my observations are valid over the period i was just looking at...

It does seem to dbl-count.

I just went down to the bottom of page 1 in this section and used:
The God Complex as a test.

back to the list, then looked again.

In case someone else had picked it too, I did it again. Count should now be 345.

So, unless someone else got a sudden urge ... it looks like it is doubling up.

Fred

Yup! Just dbl-checked and it still is 345, so chances are good I was the only one hitting it..

I have let the admin guys, anchor and gareth know about this. They are real busy with personal lives and jobs this week, and may not have time to research the problem. I will add it to my growing list of things to periodically bug them about. :wink2:

That extra view count is just the NSA Cray Supercomputer shadowing your every move...and your every click of the mouse. :sneaky2:
