Hi,
I wonder if our deception of time is created by the speed of thought.

A few years back I was in a terrible car accident. I don`t want to go into details here. What happened in essence was that my life flashed in front of my eyes in a fraction of a second. This short moment felt like an eternity.

I experienced a similar phenomenon when I experimented with a particular mind altering substance. During the experience I got under the impression that I would never reach baseline again and panicked. I was cought in a thought loop for the next hours only able to think 'what happens to me,what happens to me,what happens to me ...'. I started to watch the clock and the seconds went by so unbelievably slow. It was pure horror. The experience lasted for 12 hours but felt like 12 days.

I believe our brain is capable of working at much greater speeds in moment of great stress and that this creates the experience of time slowing down.

So if we could create this effect artifically would we be able to move faster?

Any thoughts?

I dont know about substances but, I have ( like possibly many others on here ) felt a difference in time. I have tried different states of mind to see if anything happens. I have never seen any effects of this visually in my suroundings but have noticed different states of mind can either pass quickly or slowly.

Hope that makes sense.

Only wanted to ad:
I think if we would move faster we wouldn`t notice, only the people on normal brain speed.
I am thinking of the possible military implications and I am thinking of Duncan O`Finioan.

Time is certainly not linear, that is one of the key things about 2012 and the dimensional shift that is coming. We already exist in the fourth dimension, which is time, but now the dimensions are beginning to merge and strange things are beginning to happen. We get a glimpse of this during traumatic or ecstatic events, but this will soon become more common, indeed the webbots have spoken about what they are calling 'hyperchroniacs' and I think this involves some kind of ability to manipulate time, time will tell. :roll1:

All of those psychedelic and traumatic experiences should prove to have been good practice for what is about to happen on our beautiful planet, that is probably what put us down the rabbit hole in the first place.:roll1:

Know ye not that ye are Gods?

One love, people get ready...

Here, maybe this'll stir things up:

"It may be that relativity is only a local phenomena." - Albert Einstein

Gotcha!! ;)
