Hi all. I just saw this on BBC news.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/8283299.stm

Is it me, or does this remind anyone of an episode of Doctor Who ?? :lol3:

As if them starting their swine flu vaccinations with those attending the ceremony wasn't bad enough - they're asking everyone else to stay home!

Good job we've got that new digital telly now, so they can use the good ol' hypno ray on us....

Funny, I remember reading somewhere about a patent for an LCD telly, where some of the pixels can be used to receive light rather than emit... hence we get a government camera in our own living room.

No wonder they spent so much money on the digital telly revamp... :wink2:

TV no longer works on me as a hypno ray. Though, I will concede that I enjoy watching re-runs of the U.S version of The Office. I should probably pick up the DVDs soon.

Blimey I thought the English version of the office was bad until I saw the U.S version

Well there isn't much on that catches my interest and that's a good thing.

Compared to 10 years ago, I watch a LOT LESS TV.

Hi Kulapops,

Although it does make sense to try and keep everyone at bay because of the apparent swine flu outbreak, I think the real reason could be more in line with graphic technology.

We must not forget that the Chinese used more graphic technology at the opening and closing ceremony of the Olympics than actual fireworks and people, thus making the spectacle even more spectacular on the TV than if you were really there.

If the Chinese wanted to show unseen missile technology, this could all be a huge fabrication, after all probably all the television news outlets would show what the government wants to release, thus making the graphics of missiles is cheaper than actual missiles or could even be 'red herrings' for the west.

They could also make millions of people and armed forces appear on TV and the list could go on.

The less people actually there, less witnesses to say that there was nothing to see.

Of course I could be wrong...

Best regards,

Steve

Let me know if the video above works.

If it only watchable at the youtube site that means you can't repost videos with pop up ads because the one above does have amazon inviting you to purchase the mp3 and the other vid i posted here: http://projectavalon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14303&page=4 doesn't have ads.
