I ran across this article and thought I'd share it. It seems that our government has plenty of money to loan out to those with a lot of clout, while others are just left with rejected applications. Tesla Motors and this new guy on the block are only serving those with money to play with.
WASHINGTON -- A tiny car company backed by former Vice President Al Gore has just gotten a $529 million U.S. government loan to help build a hybrid sports car in Finland that will sell for about $89,000.

Hi happyhollergal,
Welcome to the world of politics.
Why do you think that political campaigns cost more than the salaries these people would get over four years in office?
It's ecause their real money comes from lobbyists and personal and commercial interests, sucking the public money dry from the coffers.
I understood the other day that Valerie Jarret has a lot of run down real estate in Chicago. If the Olympics gets approved to go there, she gets to make millions (if not billions) from the development of said properties. That is why she is lobbying (trying to bribe people) in Denmark along with Michelle and Barak to get the games to go to Chicago.
Of course the public will get some benefit from the games, but they will only get the crumbs in relation to what the politicians get to put in their back pocket.
Gores' endeavour is just the icing on a very large cake. It's like an iceberg. We are allowed to see only what is on the surface of the ocean. What's underneath sea level is rotten to the core.
Best regards,
Steve
