Tolkein was also a close friend of C.S. Lewis - Narnia series that some love and/or hate. (Incidentally: C.S. Lewis died the same day as JFK and Aldous Huxley.)

Well. At least they can marry and not cause all the {other} problems. My Mom still celebrates a bit at Christmas (in January). She has many beautiful memories of the singing in the night.
