Proof that I am not an Agent, Troll or Energy Vampire

Here's the deal. My personal views are not accepted in many places and this forum is no different. I'm used to that. It's not a problem. I am cool with that, because I have no wish to force anyone to adopt my views, just because I stated them. You will not find a single instance of that happening on the forums -- anywhere.

A lot of people are starting to make claims such that I am paid, I'm a reptilian, I'm an energy vampire, I'm a troll, I'm an agent, etc..

All wrong. I am one guy with life experience that wants to communicate with other people. The reason I am making the posts I am is to highlight (under a splotlight) why I can't just come here and post freely. I have a LOT to get through, and I can't get through it on a forum that goes from serious to 7+ pages of jokes and mockery in a split second.

If I "WANTED" to come here and literally cause trouble, believe me -- I could do a much better job of it. I would have four computers running and I'd be sitting there tying to myself. I'd be hammering the threads with scripts. I would pose as someone who was the epitome of a jerk, just to prove a point. I would be PM'ing people, placing links to threads in all the signatures, and I'd have another 12 accounts all lined up ready to go. I'd have half a dozen other people helping out. I'd be unfair. I'd distract other people's posts. I wouldn't be sincere or genuine. I'd have multiple personality syndrome on a mass scale. I'd purposefully take things the wrong way just to cause trouble. I'd purposefully cause people to dislike me and if I got banned, I'd come back laughing and mocking. I haven't done any of the above.

It's not hard to see that I am being fair and genuine. Anyone who thinks I am anything listed in the title really needs to get a life and take a good look at the problems on this forum. I am playing fair. I am being genuine. The forum can be a much more constructive and useful place. That's what I am after. Plain and simple. Believe it or not.

I wont stop until I get it (or at LEAST something close to it). Call me all the names you like. Insult me. Accuse me. Label me. Say that I am insulting and that I want to force everyone to accept my views or my agenda. It's all ridiculous. None of it is true. None of it is even on the right track. It's all been said a thousand times. But until this forum achieves a spirit of seriousness and sincerity I'm going to keep pointing out why I cannot say what I want to say.

Name calling and insults don't affect me. They really don't. That's not the problem. The problem is that when people start behaving that way, it puts a wall up to prevent threads from continuing down a constructive path.

I already know that a lot of people in the world aren't very nice. I'd be silly to think I can come to a forum and change everyone. That is not my point at all. My point is that there should be higher expectations of forum members here so that the serious people also have a stage to speak -- and not just all the class clowns.

People will behave once their "expected" to. There is no expectation of that on this forum. The general rule is: Just post as you please.

I am not suggesting that the moderators become a bunch of dictators.

There can be absolutely no backlash whatsoever, for if moderators start insisting that posts which have been especially been designed to turn a serious thread into a joke fest.

I do not condone giving infractions or banning people or anything like that. I am not saying that moderators should dress as the gestapo and start lining people up. I think its petty to come to a forum and see that you've got an infraction. It just annoys people.

I am simply trying to point out that I have a LOT to say and that I cannot even begin as long as people are allowed to pop into a thread and start posting what ever they feel like saying (from the top of their head), just because they feel like having a laugh. without ANY regard for the topic. Even more so, people should not be allowed to "directly" make jokes about the poster, antagonizing them and finishing ever smart alec response with: :roll1:

It's absolutely ridiculous and the mods SHOULD stop that kind of thing. The people responsible are doing it "ON PURPOSE".

I also notice that many members are literally being nasty. Using terms like pathetic, moron, stupid, etc (this is just "today" in the last hour). I NEVER respond to people with such posts, yet when I see it come from other people -- there's nothing. Not a mod in sight. No one cares.

The forum need to set a new tone of seriousness. Again, members can not possibly complain to mods or accuse mods of censorship if people are clearly distracting a thread. It's not "one or two posts" it's EVERY thread. They do it because they KNOW they can get away with it. It's not innocent either. They "know" they're doing it. They're not "really" upset. They're having a laugh.

This problem CAN be fixed. It will not require copious amounts of moderation. Yes, some people will test the moderators, but at this moment in time, people are free to say what ever they like, no matter how off topic it is, and no matter how insulting they are to the OP, and the response form the moderators is: "It's ok to have a laugh sometimes". Yeah ok, maybe, but not for SEVEN pages (just for the sake of it) - come on!

This problem CAN be fixed.

It can be fixed EASILY.

An assertion needs to be made:

Be sincere, keep serious topics serious, stay on topic.

NO harm (or complaint) can come out of that.

The level of control you are asking for will require diligent, "professional" moderators. We don't have those we have volunteers with varying levels of experience at dealing with highly confrontational situations.

As I explained before - deleting and editing threads/posts is a really big deal here. There is a culture of not doing it because we don't want to give credence to the notion that we are censors with an agenda. (We are not)

There is a culture on this forum. Those of us who have been here for a long time know it. The culture does not support the mode in which you are proposing to engage in it.

It is your right to explore potential changes to that, but you cannot "insist" on them - you cannot blackmail people into accepting them with implied threats - of what you know we have characterized as disruptive behavior (see your "spotlight" para in the OP, you even admit you are doing it on purpose to make a point).

If you cannot find fertile ground for your endeavors here, then it will be time to go somewhere else. If you insist on trying to stay and change things then you are, in my opinion, not living the ideals that you claimed for yourself in the original post.

In short, it is not your forum.

This situation has a finite lifetime. Our jobs as moderators require us to maintain the status quo established by the forum guidelines and the constituent members of the forum. Some more vocal than others.

While everything you say above is reasonable, I must insist that asking people to stay on topic will not require great amounts of moderation.

A good start would be to ask moderators THEMSELVES to stop participating in off topic tangents. Moderators can't just revert to saying what ever they like just because the first line says: "Mod hat off". What's that all about?

I understand that if you delete threads, people will cry foul. So I agree. But it wouldn't hurt for moderators to type once in a while: "Hey, come on people, cut it out." -- or to send the odd PM to people who blatantly insult others.

I actually ignore a lot of things that are said.

Anything I do respond to is because I have reason -- and the reason is not that "I can't help myself from responding". I am fully capable of ignoring everything. If I thought that would help I'd do it. But it doesn't help. I know from experience. People need to learn to stop wiping tehir dirty feet all over other peoples threads in the first place, and then we can all move forward.

It can be initiated easy. All it needs is for mods to say:

Ok, here's the deal people. We're a serious forum here, and it's time people started being more serious. Then when mods see someone saying:

..they might send a PM and say: "Please do not treat other people with disrespect".

I think the whole forum would be fixed inside 24 hours.

However, running a thread on how unserious some members tend to be on subjects they disapprove of seems to me like a big waste of time. This is a discussion that should be taken with mods over PM or post a thread to urge a mod to contact you to discuss what you find an important and crucial topic.
You can't expect anything else than a flamewar when doing this sort of discussion in the open. It's like standing in a crowd, telling your friends that you do not like what the other half of the crowd does. It's bound to hit trouble, no matter how right you are in your case.

There has been a level of bickering and downright childlike behaviour lately that exceed anything I've seen for a long long time. The only line you can draw between these, to connect them together, is that every single one of them can be boiled down to a simple: Yes, no, yes no - type of discussion.

I agree with the essence of your response, but I must argue that it isn't a waste of time to make a thread about this. It is productive. It is beneficial to keep all this kind of discussion in a separate thread, meant for the topic -- rather than all over the forum in amongst various posts. Here's the deal. My personal views are not accepted in many places and this forum is no different. I'm used to that. It's not a problem. I am cool with that, because I have no wish to force anyone to adopt my views, just because I stated them. You will not find a single instance of that happening on the forums -- anywhere.

A lot of people are starting to make claims such that I am paid, I'm a reptilian, I'm an energy vampire, I'm a troll, I'm an agent, etc..

All wrong. I am one guy with life experience that wants to communicate with other people. The reason I am making the posts I am is to highlight (under a splotlight) why I can't just come here and post freely. I have a LOT to get through, and I can't get through it on a forum that goes from serious to 7+ pages of jokes and mockery in a split second.

If I "WANTED" to come here and literally cause trouble, believe me -- I could do a much better job of it. I would have four computers running and I'd be sitting there tying to myself. I'd be hammering the threads with scripts. I would pose as someone who was the epitome of a jerk, just to prove a point. I would be PM'ing people, placing links to threads in all the signatures, and I'd have another 12 accounts all lined up ready to go. I'd have half a dozen other people helping out. I'd be unfair. I'd distract other people's posts. I wouldn't be sincere or genuine. I'd have multiple personality syndrome on a mass scale. I'd purposefully take things the wrong way just to cause trouble. I'd purposefully cause people to dislike me and if I got banned, I'd come back laughing and mocking. I haven't done any of the above.

It's not hard to see that I am being fair and genuine. Anyone who thinks I am anything listed in the title really needs to get a life and take a good look at the problems on this forum. I am playing fair. I am being genuine. The forum can be a much more constructive and useful place. That's what I am after. Plain and simple. Believe it or not.

I wont stop until I get it (or at LEAST something close to it). Call me all the names you like. Insult me. Accuse me. Label me. Say that I am insulting and that I want to force everyone to accept my views or my agenda. It's all ridiculous. None of it is true. None of it is even on the right track. It's all been said a thousand times. But until this forum achieves a spirit of seriousness and sincerity I'm going to keep pointing out why I cannot say what I want to say.

..but just because it's hard to be a lone voice of reason, it doesn't mean I shouldn't try. I do believe that if I keep trying this week, this month, next month, and again and again.. eventually something will be done. So if it isn't fixed this time, that's the way it's going to have to be.

I'm not giving up. I like this forum. I like the topics. I like the effort. But I can't participate amongst so much mockery, jokes, insincerity and vitriol. So, anything I have to say is largely on hold until it's fixed. If that takes 7 years, well it takes 7 years.

I am not a whistle blower, or an abductee. I have written no books on spirituality. I am not able to see in the future. I have never had any tell me I'm of another dimension or remember me from another life.

I am not a whistle blower, or an abductee. I have written no books on spirituality. I am not able to see in the future. I have never had any tell me I'm of another dimension or remember me from another life.

Do I know these things are real?..yes I do..why? because the truth can resonate within my very being. As I'm sure it does with all here. Otherwise, why would we be here.

Today I was brought to tears....why? Because I understood today there are so many hurdles mankind has to jump to get to the finish line..and collect the grand prize.

I long for the day we can stand in front of each other and say we won. We worked out daily, strive to be the best. Not another in the universe can touch what we have....and what is that grand prize?

ridding Mans inhumanity to man....and creating unity, love of mankind and universal compassion .

the day will come..make no mistake of that...it will come...

However...today I got just another taste of what we have to overcome to create that prize. We are fighting an illusion that was created to enslave us in our own passion for humanity...

Today I felt the pain of someone who believes what has created the killing and wars was the very lie used to manipulate us to fight such a war.

The mass illusion that one group of people can create such a thing..when in truth it is a rather small group..using us to fight ourselves. Enslave us to do their dirty work in the name of freedom, in the name of God, in the name of justice.

Who am I? I'm a mother of three sons, and one grandchild. I'm a musician, I'm the one you pass at the market when shopping...I cry at sad movies, and happy endings. I'm the one you honk at at the traffic light because I'm changing the radio station and not paying attention to the light. I'm the one who can't stand to see the starving children in deprived countries. I'm the one who stood by and watched the twin towers fall in disbelief. I'm the one who watched the United States go to war for the sake of oil and power. I'm the one who woke up to the fact that it is all an illusion...one created to use us against each other.

I'm the one who want's to wake up and find that the illusion is over..that mankind stood up and said ...we are through with your lies...we want only the truth and nothing else will be acceptable. We will stop working your war machine...we want nothing to do with your power agendas. we want to see the starvation end, and the suffering ended. We want the children to be nothing but loved. We hold our future dear to us and will not accept your blaintent lies. we don't care about your boarders...we care about our neighbors...we send them love. We bless them with kindness and giving. We will rebuild our future with strength of compassion. Hate is not a word we use in our vocabulary. Giving is our key to success.

Then and only then will the tears I shed today turn tears of joy. Then mankind can collect the grand prize....the universal prize of humanity shedding it's mask of animal behavior.....and we will be able to join the ranks of Sharing universal love of humanity and creation throughout the universe.

Freedom and Responsibility

Freedom, from an existential perspective, cannot be separated from responsibility. With freedom comes responsibility. Yet, it is common for many people to seek freedom while trying to avoid responsibility. While, at times, it appears that people may be able to succeed at this, there remains a psychological consequence. This consequence is often not very noticeable, but may find expression through guilt, anxiety, depression, or even anger.

Existential freedom is not the same things as freedom in the political sense we often think of it in America. In fact, political freedom could be view to be a rather shallow, though not unimportant, type of freedom. A person can be existentially free despite not being politically free, and a person can avoid embracing their existential freedom despite being offered great political freedoms.


Ways of Avoiding Responsibility

There are several common examples of how people avoid responsibility in American culture. Conformity is one good example. Americans pride themselves on being autonomous individuals to the point of idealizing individualism. However, upon closer analysis, Americans find extremely creative ways of giving up their freedom. Americans conform through blind allegiance to various organizations and institutions including political parties and religious institutions. This is not to say that being dedicated to either of these are bad. In fact, often they can lead to very positive outcomes. The problem comes with blind allegiance where a person gives up their responsibility to critically think through the beliefs, perspectives, and values of the organization. When this happens, the individual's values are no longer authentic.

When a person gives their allegiance to an external belief structure, they may go in one of several directions. First, they often will become very rigid in their allegiance to the organization or structure to which they have committed. This type of conformity can be seen through various forms of fundamentalism -- religious, political, psychological systems, etc.

Second, they may present as being very committed to a belief systems or organization, but they feel very comfortable bending the rules where it does fit their desires. It becomes easy to bend the rules because they are not really committed to the underlying values system. However, when a person is deeply committed to authentic moral or value principles, they are less willing to act in ways which contradict these principles. The principles are authentic.

Another way avoid responsibility can occur through the belief that one is powerless. There can be many factors which are seen to render a person powerless. A person can perceive themselves as a victim of their environment, of various supernatural or spiritual forces, their unconscious, or a victim of their biology/genes. While an existential approach will recognize that all of these factors may influence a person, none of them render a person powerless or completely control them.

I really do think it is laughable that you seem to be whining about people not being made to behave. There is a wonderful feature called the "IGNORE" button. I have used it twice on two members whom I would rather not hear a peep out of. One of them is a very well liked member here whom I just react to like oil on water, so I put them on iggy and they are welcome to put me on iggy. We have never had cross words with one another, but I chose to ignore them.

I suggest you might consider doing the same to me or anyone else whom you deem to not contribute to your threads.
