View Full Version : How to find TRUTH

Truth is the one thing left after all other explanations have been shown to be incorrect. Truth is the truth whether you believe it or not - whether it seems possible or not. Believing in something does not make it true no matter how strong your belief is. Truth does not need to be proved - Truth just is. Your soul or spirit knows the truth but your conscious mind is easily misled - switch your analytical mind off and listen to your heart. That is the way to the truth.

thats the beauty of meditation, sitting in the stillness and being connected, i find helps.......as i say all the time to folks and as a mantra to myself......the way is not in the sky the way is in the heart (dhamma from buddha). more often or not though brinty in everyday life its the monkey mind we sadly work from......myself included :mad3:, keep having to remind myself to just breath!

ps mental note to step up meditation practice!

I only have one problem with meditation bou - when I really relax I fall asleep. Maybe I should try it standing up. :original:

Hi Brinty,
May I suggest that you tense and relax your whole body 10-12 times before meditation. If you concentrate and focus your attention between the eyebrows this will help. Also, if you feel yourself drifting into subconsiousness squeeze your eyes shut. Lastly, try sitting in a straight backed chair, but not leaning back on it.
Love,
Kriya
Ps If possible try meditating with your eyes half open.

Truth can mean many things is experience through your heart which is the resonator and memory of all the truth that lies within.

I have a very difficult time with this. Some days I think all of this is for entertainment, the next day not so much. I get confused and frustrated.
I need to start meditating again. Sometimes I fall asleep! ugh. Are you supposed to be sitting up with you back straight? I've read different approaches but find it hard to relax with good posture! I've even tried laying flat....after a while I couldn't feel any parts of my body anymore...I had to wiggle my toes to make sure they were still there. Then I felt like I was spinning out of control, like when you are really drunk and the room is spinning....ya, like that. So, I don't know...I just don't know.
