The Global Currency is the bank-to-bank special drawing rights unit - this is not used by private people yet, only banks and countries use it. This is causing the endless printing of the $US to fund it.
Out of work professionals are temping for Fed EX and United States Postal service over Christmas.
So banks are shutting down, jobs are going overseas and all that's left is temp jobs for professionals - God help the unskilled workers who can't even temp at Fed-EX!

I had a independent plumber come in to work on a leaky drain. After he was done working we were chatting and he mentioned of hand that his father, a 56 years old, is stocking up on supplies...salt, water, food, ect. Because he father says the economy is collapsing. He thought his dad was acting weird.
I told him his father is correct and he needs to listen to him. His jaw dropped.
Even though he sees the prices going higher and more people out of work he never thought were were heading for collapse. Hearing it from a stranger I think hit home with him.
God help us all.

Whoo hoo! I'm going to do an entire post drawing on nothing but speculation and ********!
The reality of this economy is that you take what you can find and you make the best of it. That's what I'm doing. That's what anyone should do.
When you live in one of the smallest states in the nation, you take ANY job you can find or you move. You want to appreciate the quality of life here? Adapt, commute or move.

And I'll bet that all of our banks will remain solvent and our currency will remain stable well into 2030.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but what will the new currency be? Or do you think the dollar and euro are just going to keep on keeping on for the next 10 years?

Why would "they" want a new currency?
The Dollar is used in 80% of the planet they already have the new world currency.. it i just not new to the American's... What they plan to do it devalue it gradually to get them selves out of the debt hole they are in... Or maybe that istheir plan to keep US in debt they can almost repay.
I have an old nexus magazine here dec 2000-Jan 2001 a quote from it...
Economists are predicting the dollar's fearful collapse, for as a currency it has been debauched with mountainous debt that now cannot possibly be repaid
It goes on to say money will cease to exist and become more cashless and electronic which is spot on...
It is worth having a listen to Andy Gause on 1radionetwork as he has sound advice...

Do not give the PTB too much credit for higher-level thinking. They cannot create a new "global" currency. They can however devalue the dollar and euro. Tie the value of the currency to a basket of commodities or some other bookkeeping magic.
The US debt level is such that at some point in late 2010 or 2011 the greenback will be devalued by a 2/3. That would wipe out $14T as of this writing.
If its done on a global basis as a "reset," then that would make the haves stronger than the have nots, thereby restoring PTB's status.
Does this lead to war? Very likely, but that is a page out of the old playbook for getting out of depression.
Here's the play:
1) Ignore the problem. (10/28-10-30) (3/07-3/08)
2) Bring Democrats into power: (11/32) (11/08)
3) Enact sweeping socialist change (04/33-11/38) (2/09-)
4) Begin global skirmish: (05-38) (pick a date)
5) Stage false-flag attack: (12-41) (TBA)
6) Conduct war with economic benefits (12/41-6-45) (TBA)
7) Consolidate power with new global institutions.
That should get us past 12/21/12.
Remember the PTB are not the smartest people in the room, just the most loutish.
