Write a book critical of the CIA -- you cannot fly. Carry explosives (allegedly from Yemen) on board when the US is trolling for an excuse to invade and occupy Yemen for its oil -- yes you can! The US needs false flags to provide cover for illegal invasions and occupations. The 9/11 terrorist attacks (aka inside job, six ways to Sunday) worked well for the US government; the security-industrial complex made billions and US corporaterrorists were able to negotiate the wholesale theft of Iraq's oil.
According to CNN, the terror suspect's father tried to warn authorities. CNN reported: The father of a man suspected in a botched terror attack aboard a Northwest Airlines flight contacted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria recently with concerns his son was planning something, a senior U.S. administration official said Saturday. The father -- identified by a family source as Umaru Abdul Mutallab -- contacted the U.S. Embassy "a few weeks ago" saying his son, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, had "become radicalized," the senior administration official, who is familiar with the case, told CNN.
And yet, Abdulmutallab was not obliged to undergo any additional airport screening layers, prior to boarding for the last leg of his journey to Detroit.
Also, lest we forget: Three key provisions of the Patriot Act are scheduled to expire 31 December 2009. Hmm. I wonder if post-Abdulmutallab they will get renewed?
Abdulmutallab was thwarted by a quote, unquote vacationing movie producer, Jasper Schuringa, who, within seconds, asserted that he not only tackled the suspect and put him in a headlock but also tried 'to search his body for any explosives' (CNN). Unless one was a bona-fide law enforcement professional or a military agent, who on earth would think of searching a man who had just set himself on fire, in a matter of seconds, for more explosives?
The goal is Yemeni oil. Hence the reason for the destabilization and the purported need for the US to stop al-Qaeda (literally, 'the database'). The Yemeni national security chief has declared that the country is receiving assistance from the US in the crackdown on what he called 'al-Qaeda operatives' in southern Yemen (Press TV). Translation: US corporaterrorists want Yemen's oil and they want it NOW.

Major airport delays in wake of bomb attempt
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2009/12/27/tor-airport-delays-security-crackdown.html?ref=rss
U.S.-bound passengers at Toronto's Pearson International Airport were experiencing significant delays Sunday as a result of new security measures implemented following an attempted attack Friday on a flight into Detroit.
...The new security rules for U.S.-bound trips include two hand-screenings of all carry-on baggage, a pat-down of all passengers before they can board a plane and a limit of one carry-on bag per traveller.
Air Canada has also said its passengers must remain in their seats and have no baggage on their laps for the last hour of flights to the U.S.
The heightened scrutiny requires about five to seven minutes for each passenger to get through airport security, which has led to long lineups at Pearson airport. An audio announcement being played in all terminals with U.S. departures cautions travellers about the new rules and expected delays.

All the more reason NOT to fly.
Yay, who ordered an extra dose of fear?
The timing of the extra dose of fear smacks of occult based nazi's, imho.
Winter solstice time, as was the tsunami.
If instead of looking at the planet as a seperate blob of mass, You view it as a living entity, then it's cycles and how it fits into the larger cyclic living galaxy needs to be kept in mind.
Then think of when and how a living entity will be most vunerable, most influenced .
The GLOBALISTS will be well aware.
The vast overwhelming majority of people will buy the picture of fear that has been painted, they will enmass demand actions of more control.
We on here are a tiny tiny proportion of the population, almost an irrelevance to those who organise these situations.
The trick will be in showing the picture in full to all, they have that ability now, they control the whole media.
it may need an enormous situation that overrides that grip of control, otherwise they will simply keep injecting into the earths field more and more of the same, with an occult adjenda.

* Vancouver International: The airport's website, which reported flight delays, said U.S.-bound passengers could expect to "undergo a personal [pat-down] search and have all of their personal belongings examined"; be limited to one carry-on bag; and face some delays "as the additional screening does take more time."
* Heathrow, London: The Times of London reported "chaos at Heathrow and other British airports with delays reaching up to five hours." On its website, Heathrow, one of the world's biggest airports, advised travelers to limit carry-on luggage, arrive promptly and call their airlines for additional advice.

Australians travelling to the United States should arrive at the airport one hour early to allow for body searches introduced in the wake of an airline bomb scare on Christmas Day
New security measures introduced by the US Transport Security Administration for all flights into the US include pat-down searches at the airport gate, physical inspection of all bags and requiring passengers to stay in their seats without access to any personal items or overhead lockers for the final hour before landing.
“It’s important that travellers travelling to the US get to the airport one hour earlier than they would otherwise,” Federal Transport Minister Anthony Albanese said today.

Hi micjer,
Something doesn't smell right about this story either.
As I understand it the guy was in transit in Amsterdam and so shouldn't in theory have been on the Dutch side of passport control, he would have stayed on the international side.
The smart dressed guy who helped him board the plane apparently without a passport didn't board the plane. Why not? What was he doing in the check-in queue of a plane that he was not going to board?
Why would a 'terrorist' not have at least a fake passport?
Apparently there was a guy on board the plane that videoed the whole flight. Why? That would be around seven hours of footage of, basically nothing.
The youngster (23 years old - I think) sang like a songbird in custody. Some terrorist training he must have had.
He has been charged with trying to damage an aeroplane. Is that all?
It could well be that this guy was sent to stir things up a little, but not to kill. But by whom?
False flags do not necessarily need to kill thousands of people. Just the thought of that for most is enough. I tend to agree with you on this one. Yemen is toast either way and after Tony Blairs' recent statement about Iraq your theory is very, very plausible.
Best regards,
Steve

Bombshell Eyewitness Revelations: Confirmed FBI Cover-Up Of Flight 253 Attack
http://www.infowars.com/bombshell-eyewitness-revelations-confirmed-fbi-cover-up-of-flight-253-attack/
Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell appeared on the Alex Jones Show today and detailed his experience at the Amsterdam airport and on flight 253. Mr. Haskell provided information not covered by the corporate media.
In addition to a detailed retelling of the story he gave the corporate media, Mr. Haskell addressed the unprofessional and lackadaisical behavior of the FBI and airport security after the plane landed at the Detroit Metro airport in Romulus, Michigan. He characterized their behavior as a “complete embarrassment. They actually put us in more jeopardy than we were already in.”
Passengers were told to remain seated in the aircraft for 20 minutes after landing despite the fact security did not know at that point if there was an explosive on the plane or if the fire started by the suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab while on descent to the airport had spread under the floor in the cabin or to the fuel tanks in the wings.
After being allowed to disembark from the plane by officials, passengers were detained in customs with their carry-on luggage for six hours while they waited to be interrogated by the FBI, according to Haskell.

I didn't read this thread but I'm following the second man story everywhere in my RSS reader, and I would like to show you what a DHS friendly site is saying:
http://www.nationalterroralert.com/updates/2010/01/01/witnesses-say-second-man-arrested-in-flight-253-incident/
Conflicting stories are circulating in regards to flight 253 and the number of people taken into custody in the aftermath of the attempted terror attack on Christmas day.
Kurt and Lori Haskell, two Taylor attorneys, say they saw a man get questioned by federal officials and later led away in handcuffs after a sniffer dog reacted to something in the man’s carry-on luggage in the airport’s baggage area. The man, who appeared to be in his early 30s and of Indian descent, was taken to a room for questioning and later led out of that room in handcuffs, they said.
It has nothing to do with what I heard so far. It is complete disinfo or did I miss a new development?

The best part of all of this is how quickly the awakened community and the internet press picked up on it.
Here is an interesting article that goes along with our discussion here. Guess who this underwear bomber's dad is.....one of the richest man (he's a banker) in Africa according to this article.
http://willyloman.wordpress.com/2009/12/30/billions-in-recent-yememi-investments-and-the-underwear-bombers-daddy-its-a-small-world-aint-it/
1. The Underwear Bomber’s IMF and World Bank indebted Father
Abdulmutallab’s father is indeed a banker just as the MSM has said. The interesting thing is, he’s not JUST a banker, he is THE banker in Nigeria. According to a recent Times story, Abdulmutallab’s father, Umaru Mutallab is one of the wealthiest men in Africa; that says a lot in a continent as corrupt as Africa.
In Nigeria, the nation Umaru Mutallab lives in, according to the World Bank, 53% of the population lives on less than $1 per day. Abject poverty is rampant in Nigeria and so are human rights violations. Kinda has to be that way to keep the super wealthy in control of the population.
Daddy Warbucks, Umaru Mutallab (remember, one of the wealthiest men in Africa, banker extraordinaire) played a major role in introducing Islamic banking into Nigeria. Islamic Banking is represented and organized globally by what is called the Islamic Development Bank which is deeply involved with Nigeria now (thanks in part to Umaru Mutallab) mainly through a bank called Jaiz Bank.
Umaru Mutallab sits on the board of Jaiz Bank and is in fact it’s chairman.
If it looks like a duck.....
Now back to the Yemen connection..
•Yemen increased its national debt to the tune of 5 billion dollars from July to September of this year (they may have borrowed more since Sept). The IMF, World Bank, and Paris Club members are on the hook for that money if the revolution in Yemen is successful.

This is a major concern for Canadians.
Once the information is given, there is no telling how it will be handled.

U.S. security rules would break privacy laws, Canadian airlines contend
"Program would collect the name, gender and birth date of the approximately five million Canadians who fly through American airspace"
"Canada's major airlines say they will be forced either to break privacy laws or to ignore new American air security rules unless the federal government comes up with a response to U.S. demands for passenger information..."

"A path has been cleared for the government to publicly roll out dangerous full-body scanners after the failed terrorist attempt on flight 253. Neocons are quaking for the government to implement the human x-ray machines on a nationwide scale, radiating travelers with unhealthy amounts of ionic radiation all for the sake of preventing the next Mutallab from boarding another U.S. airliner.
Airport Travelers To Get Ionizing X-Ray Radiation
According to a recent Zogby poll, traveling Americans approve long lines and gridlock at airport passenger screening points. The majority polled appreciate delays and hassles of flying today’s suspicious skies and feel safer because the federal Transportation Security Agency (TSA) is in charge of airport screening. These happy line campers should be delighted to learn about TSA’s grossly invasive new security plans. The good times have just begun.

Closures come as Washington, London step up aid to fight al-Qaida affiliate

The U.S. and Britain closed their embassies in Yemen on Sunday in the face of al-Qaida threats, after both countries announced an increase in aid to the government to fight the terror group linked to the failed attempt to bomb a U.S. airliner on Christmas.
The confrontation with al-Qaida's offshoot in Yemen has gained new urgency since the 23-year-old Nigerian accused in the attack, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, told American investigators he received training and instructions from the group's operatives in Yemen. President Barack Obama said Saturday that the al-Qaida offshoot was behind the attempt.

Body scanners coming to Canadian airports
Tuesday, January 5, 2010
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2010/01/05/security-canada-us-airport.html?ref=rss
Dozens of body scanners will be installed in Canadian airports to comply with new U.S. security protocols, the federal government confirmed Tuesday.
Rob Merrifield, minister of state for transport, said 44 scanners ordered on Tuesday will be used on passengers selected for secondary screening at Canadian airports.
CBC News has confirmed that the machines, which can scan through clothing, be installed in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.
The system, tested over the last year in British Columbia at the Kelowna Airport, allows a screening officer to see whether someone is carrying plastic explosives or other dangerous items.
The plan to use the technology has stirred controversy because the scanner produces a three-dimensional outline of a person's naked body.
Privacy concerns addressed
Chantal Bernier, the assistant privacy commissioner, said in October the national air-security agency had successfully answered her office's questions about the project. Under the plan approved by the privacy chief, the officer would view the image in a separate room and never see the actual traveller.

I wonder if there is another reason why they want you to walk through those scanners???
How Terahertz Waves Tear Apart DNA!!
A new model of the way the THz waves interact with DNA explains how the damage is done and why evidence has been so hard to gather...
Great things are expected of terahertz waves, the radiation that fills the slot in the electromagnetic spectrum between microwaves and the infrared. Terahertz waves pass through non-conducting materials such as clothes , paper, wood and brick and so cameras sensitive to them can peer inside envelopes, into living rooms and "frisk" people at distance.
The way terahertz waves are absorbed and emitted can also be used to determine the chemical composition of a material. And even though they don't travel far inside the body, there is great hope that the waves can be used to spot tumours near the surface of the skin.
With all that potential, it's no wonder that research on terahertz waves has exploded in the last ten years or so.
But what of the health effects of terahertz waves? At first glance, it's easy to dismiss any notion that they can be damaging. Terahertz photons are not energetic enough to break chemical bonds or ionise atoms or molecules, the chief reasons why higher energy photons such as x-rays and UV rays are so bad for us. But could there be another mechanism at work?
The evidence that terahertz radiation damages biological systems is mixed. "Some studies reported significant genetic damage while others, although similar, showed none," say Boian Alexandrov at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico and a few buddies. Now these guys think they know why.
Alexandrov and co have created a model to investigate how THz fields interact with double-stranded DNA and what they've found is remarkable. They say that although the forces generated are tiny, resonant effects allow THz waves to unzip double-stranded DNA, creating bubbles in the double strand that could significantly interfere with processes such as gene expression and DNA replication. That's a jaw dropping conclusion.
And it also explains why the evidence has been so hard to garner. Ordinary resonant effects are not powerful enough to do do this kind of damage but nonlinear resonances can. These nonlinear instabilities are much less likely to form which explains why the character of THz genotoxic affects are probabilistic rather than deterministic, say the team.
This should set the cat among the pigeons. Of course, terahertz waves are a natural part of environment, just like visible and infrared light. But a new generation of cameras are set to appear that not only record terahertz waves but also bombard us with them. And if our exposure is set to increase, the question that urgently needs answering is what level of terahertz exposure is safe.

Obama’s War On Yemen: Another Last Day Prediction Coming True?

In December, US officials claimed Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian citizen, traveled to Yemen, was trained by Al Qaeda, obtained explosive chemicals (PETN), and tried using them to blow up an Amsterdam-Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day.
According to Webster Tarpley in a December 29 Russia Today interview, Abdulmutallab is a CIA “protected patsy (for the) provocation designed to facilitate US meddling in (Yemen’s) civil war (pitting) the Saudi-backed central government against the Iranian-backed Shiite Houthi rebels,” being bombed by US and Saudi air strikes.
He was denied a UK entrance visa, wasn’t on a No Fly List, paid cash for a one-way ticket to Detroit, checked no luggage, had a US visa but no passport, and was helped on board by a “well-dressed Indian” to facilitate what appears to be a Washington false flag plot using Abdulmutallab as a convenient dupe.

85-Year-Old Woman Terrorized By Airport Security Thugs

An 85-year-old woman who was terrorized by airport security thugs at Ottawa Airport yesterday got little sympathy from Canadian transport minister John Baird, who refused to apologize, warning that disabled grandmas will continue to be treated as possible Al-Qaeda suicide bombers.
“Baird was asked by media Sunday about the treatment of the four-foot-10, 90-pound woman who was travelling from Ottawa to Toronto on Dec. 28. The woman was asked to remove her boots and then unzip her pants. A female inspection officer then poked at her abdomen,” reports the Montreal Gazette.
These are the same thugs who will be sitting in back rooms enjoying high resolution naked images of your children once full body scanners are rolled out nationwide.
The woman’s niece, Cynthia Sutcliffe, said that the former federal public servant is now “terrified” of airport security and that the search was “extreme.”
Baird’s reaction was a striking reminder of the fact that even if there were hoards of terrorists itching to blow themselves up, as western governments constantly claim, our illustrious airport security officials have been told to specifically target geriatric pensioners with incontinence bags and people in wheelchairs

I believe this was a "False Flag" incident. Something to let us know terrorism is alive and kicking, and to prepare us for new rules, regulations and possibly the stationing of military personnel at the airport. Just preparing the way for marshall law, and the loss of freedom. I am not a follower of W. G. Tarpley, but here is another article supporting a false flag.
Webster Griffin Tarpley
His writings and speeches describe a model of false flag terror operations by a rogue network in the military/intelligence sector working with moles in the private sector and in corporate media,
Tarpley tells RT that the case of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is not a matter of unconnected dots, but rather that of a protected patsy or puppet deliberately used by the US intelligence community for a Christmas Day provocation designed to facilitate US meddling in the civil war in Yemen, which is where Umar Farouk allegedly trained and was given his PETN device. Banker’s son Umar Farouk had been denied an entrance visa to Great Britain , and had been denounced to the US Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria as a possible terrorist by his own father in mid-November. His one-way ticket to Detroit was bought in Ghana for cash, and he reportedly entered Nigeria illegally. In Amsterdam , he was assisted at the Northwest Airlines gate by a “well-dressed Indian” who explained that Umar Farouk had no passport. He did have PETN, the same substance supposedly used by the mentally impaired shoe bomber Richard Reid in his abortive attack of eight years ago. In spite of all this, Umar Farouk’s US entry visa was never revoked, he never made it onto the no-fly list, and he was never thoroughly searched. These egregious lapses in normal procedure show that Umar Farouk was part of an orchestration sponsored by the CIA, which has now yielded 4 solid days of media hysteria.
