It's a "Disgrace"? It is more than a disgrace It is the absolute in your face Truth on just how much THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

We seem to be under the illusion that they do care and that they will do something to help the current situation....NEWSFLASH THEY WON'T, NOT NOW, NOT EVER!
So stop living in a fantasy world that these people are one of us, they are in office for the status and the perks, period

They do need to be kicked out as far as we can kick them.

Other than that.....have a nice day:wub2:

So, we are obviously going in the wrong direction when the SCOTUS just did this on Thursday...

"Yesterday's radical Supreme Court ruling opens up the flood gates for unlimited corporate spending on campaigns. It says Big Business can spend as much money as it wants to, trying to defeat one candidate or another.
Individual citizens' freedom to effect our democracy, anyone's ability to make a difference, who isn't named Exxon, consider yourself squished under the heel of special interests and the nation's most rich and powerful companies."

Yep.

Will it be gradual or quick? What will be the the first indicator of this heading south quickly?

I try not to be worried. But, I cannot shake this concern of food and water for people and animals. If there was an indicator I could show my family and friends, I will at least have a chance at getting them to stock up on food, water, and heirloom seeds. If my group is taken care of, then we can help the others in our community by sharing food/water and planting gardens.

The actual 'money' part of the economy...I would like to see go away.

I'm sorry to disagree. I DOES matter. In your scenario,if it happens, she would still be in office shaking her head. That's not good enough. Her and "her kind" are a detriment to my rights as a U.S. citizen.
By definition "her kind" means any public servant that spends that kind of money in current financial conditions at State and Federal level in my country, the United States of America.
I'm not a republican,a democrat,or a teabagger.
I am a concerned citizen though. Regionally, Nationally and Internationally. Who's in charge?
I'm trying to learn.
Should Nancy Pelosi be and "her kind?"
Not if I can help it.
She is the first person that ever made me so mad I want to picket her elected position.
I SAW her last week on TV say.."hehehe We ALL say things on the campain trail to get elected"

We will have some sort of means of exchange of goods and services and we will still have politics.

For the record...I am not apoligizing for our Governors weak performance here in California.. I WILL support his first and most important mistake he made when he got elected.
He questiond the teachers unions and their benefits. Seriously,You teach 20 years in California, get a couple of extra degree's in nite school, and your union would give you 90percent pension for the rest of your life.
That was a MAJOR mistake in his political career. I personally know Teachers in the San Bernardino School District that went out and worked on destroying him politically. They expected and DEMANDED that payoff..(The pension)
When I grew up and moved to California..It's ALL I heard.. Get a Government Job before your 25 and you get a GREAT pension and start a second career at 45.
When Uncle Arnie suggested it might be too good?
They told him he was finished.
WHO elected Nancy Pelosi? Education System.

Canada has some strict legislation about this - not that it's not a problem too, maybe less, with limits. There are the big corp lobbyists...

These companies/corps 'invest' in political contributions for a return. It's just business. Americans seem to think this kind of regulation and oversight is 'communist' or 'socialist'. Sure seems to benefit the 'hidden hand' of the 'market' tho'!!

Also, hands-up votes. Does it not seem weird that voters are named - like the 'sponsors' can make sure their boy or girl did xyz, i.e. paper trail. I think they should be nameless with tallies, anonymous. People can always find out through television or phoning or following the news. The bad guys will know who to pick off. On the other side, accountability.

YOU are not a nation of conservatives and liberals; YOU are a nation of constitutionally free human beings. The only ideas that we can agree upon stem from this one equality YOU give power to through your consent, equal protection under a rule of law. It is through this ratiocination that Republicans and Democrats proposition that they represent what is the best of the American way of life. “Join us!”, they say, “we believe in liberty, free markets, equality and a safer America!”, and you all know what they mean; liberty means you pay taxes and they don’t, liberty means say nothing of our corruption and we’ll hand you a conviction on middle management every-so-often, free market means freely open for upper echelon corruption and consolidation, equality means that you must be labeled, tracked and “secured” a place in your vision of society, safe means you are a terrorist until proven innocent, and safe means you must support the wars or “shut up”.

As long as You hold true to right and left wing demagoguery You will forever have these problems as long as you continue to vote along party lines be they Republican or Democrat nothing will change. They have the money and every 4 years they come out to say they care about you so they can continue the charade when will the bell go off in some people`s heads that they are just using you to secure there place in the program . They are starting to run scared you now see them bringing security to their town hall meetings . At these meetings attempts are made to muzzle any disent. that take place in the Laws of our country goes first thru the House then
if passed in the House go to our Senate... It has been Nancy Pelosi that fast
tracks the process [Passing these NEW bills, without each house member
having a document to READ] calling for a vote without proper debate of the
issues in the draft of the bill.

Further, this woman granted stimulus funds to companies her husband invests

As it was shown; she feels she can take funds and use them to enrich her own

Supreme Court lifts limits on corporate political contributions, changing election equation

A bitterly divided Supreme Court on Thursday swept aside decades of legislative restrictions, ruling that corporations may spend as much as they want to sway voters in federal elections.

January 21, 2010

By David G. Savage
Tribune Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON — A bitterly divided Supreme Court on Thursday swept aside decades of legislative restrictions, ruling that corporations may spend as much as they want to sway voters in federal elections.

In a landmark 5-4 decision, the court's conservative bloc said corporations have the same right to free speech as individuals and, for that reason, the government may not stop corporations from spending to help their favored candidates.

I guess what I meant was..theres an inclusion with a Global Economy and NWO and where Morality and Profit come toghether and seperate.
It seems Nancy Perosi has decided that it's her responsibility to make those choices for the American people because we're:
A) too busy, so trust her
B) too stupid
I resent either of those choices.

NAFTA and Trilateral Commission don't really seem to look at the perspective from the American work forces position, but more from a "Corporate" perspective for the good of the Regions financial position overall.

The original idea was, instead of Jobs and Manufacturering going to the Far East, we would reduce labor and transportation costs by building (Central America,USA and Canada Nafta) Maquiadora's in Mexico and keep transportation costs lower . And keep it in the region.
China and the Far East BLEW Labor costs out of the water over transportation costs. And Labor...........LABOR No Unions..cheap unaccountable labor
Tax Credits fluctuate.
Purto Rico was a tax have for 30years for U.S, Medical Device Manufacturers
Tax breaks ran out...

As tax incentives float from country to country, and labor costs and transportation prices fluctuate,so does Corporate decisions where to build product.
Some products are still cost effective in U.S.,some in Maquiadora's,some off shore. It depends on the LABOR cost.

We need to "retool" our thinking.

A lot of us are Americans on this website.. Others are caring people.

I ask... "For Corporate Profit,Or the Government,or Profit SHARING?"

I say we work toghether.AND we need something people believe in.
Then? we all win..

The 'story' was that it would 'create jobs' so now mass yobs in the service industry, clerking it up in made in China clothing stores.

Pfft. Another great thing - hey, I like your list! - about the US is how it throws way more white collar criminals in the slammer than Canadians. Here's a short one. A big scandal with blood supply here, PM's business interests, went way down the Clinton pipe to prisons in [wherever Clinton was guvner], prisoners get a pint drained for $5 or whatever. Next thing the country's blood supply is contaminated with HIV, hep, and so on. Dads die, moms die. Their kids have HIV, ... Well, at least buddy here in the 5-4 U.S. Supreme Court decision - a mighty dissent from Justice John Paul Stevens...

Who are the other 5 idiots?????? WT(VERYBIG)FUP????

“The fact that corporations are different from human beings might seem to need no elaboration, except that the majority opinion almost completely eludes it…

Unlike natural persons, corporations have ‘limited liability’ for their owners and managers, ‘perpetual life,’ separation of ownership and control, ‘and favorable treatment of the accumulation and distribution of assets . . . that enhance their ability to attract capital and to deploy their resources in ways that maximize the return on their shareholders’ investments.’ 494 U. S., at 658–659. Unlike voters in U. S. elections, corporations may be foreign controlled.

Unlike other interest groups, business corporations have been ‘effectively delegated responsibility for ensuring society’s economic welfare’; they inescapably structure the life of every citizen. ‘[T]he resources in the treasury of a business corporation,’ furthermore, ‘are not an indication of popular support for the corporation’s political ideas.’ Id., at 659 (quoting MCFL, 479 U. S., at 258).

‘They reflect instead the economically motivated decisions of investors and customers. The availability of these resources may make a corporation a formidable political presence, even though the power of the corporation may be no reflection of the power of its ideas.’ 494 U. S., at 659 (quoting MCFL, 479 U. S., at 258). It might also be added that corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires.

Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their ‘personhood’ often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of ‘We the People’ by whom and for whom our Constitution was established. These basic points help explain why corporate electioneering is not only more likely to impair compelling governmental interests, but also why restrictions on that electioneering are less likely to encroach upon First Amendment freedoms.”

Anyway.

Good thread.. I like it when posters basicly all agree on a topic. Sure makes it easier on my brain. I can understand nuts and bolts reality. I can "see" it.
I get cloudy real fast on some of the topics here in Avalon. I 'want" to believe a lot of what I read...including "disclosure is imminent" but I've been tapping my foot for years now.
I'm pretty sure Nancy Pelosi is a reptilian though. THAT I believe.:lol3:

Sorry Tango... I just cringe when I see Nancy Pelosi on TV. She gives me the creeps. I've never written more in a blog in my life. I'd reregister to vote if I were in her ward to vote her out.
I see your in Arizona...Your welcome to visit here in Tahoe anytime. I'm a great host. Common up.
We almost did a Camelot Conference here in Tahoe last October. I even spoke to Kerry about it. We might do one in May or June.Stay tuned.

I, Like the things you post... John McCain (R) AZ, needs to go too as HE is a
progressive... But, She's worse... I say a little something everyday to try to
wake the people of California... I am very familiar with your area... Had to
pick up a CH-54 Skycrane from Reno... in 2000, Tahoe was right over the Ridge.
I've spent some time in your area... Nice.... Know it... Rented a car... Had to
stay a week, while the made the A/C airworthy... Keep up the energy...

FYI: If we KEEP up the pressure " She'll Be Gone."... We also need to THINK
about Giving our Sheriffs the tools to take these Fed thief's OUT.........

You've got My Support... KEEP POSTING.....

LOL... New Sheriff in Town? Arizona has a good Sheriff unless your a prisoner there. I don't know if I agree with his position of humiliating all incarcerated prisoners there, but at least he has some gonads on a Federal level. He WILL challange his and our constitutional rights as a Sherrif and OUR rights in jail. He "pushes " the envelope. At least it "looks" like democracy is being held accountable.
Me? I'd stay away from Arizona if I were an undocumented entry into my country or a criminal.
But thats just me.
Arizona's Sheriff is a MoFo. AND He's proud of it. AND I woud'nt argue with that doode.
Heh But that's just me.

ALL he is doing is following the LAW... How is it said " So, it is written; So it will
be done."

Let's, get back to taking out the garbage... That's running our congress, under
a false flag... Progressive's... Will have to get the Money out of it; as stated
above... But, first this Hag has got to go... She sent money out of the states.

Than... This came out...

"Today, even though President Obama is against off shore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company (which is the 8th largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil! The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China and NOT THE USA! Now, here's the real clincher...the Chinese government is under contract to purchase all the oil that this oil field will produce, which is hundreds of millions of barrels of oil ".......

We have absolutely no gain from this transaction whatsoever.....!

Wait, it gets more interesting:.....

Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil Company and who would benefit most from this? It is American BILLIONAIRE, ' George Soros,' who was one of President Obama's most generous financial supporters during his campaign... Are you ' getting it ' yet. Progressive's....

If you are able to connect the dots and follow the money, you are probably as upset as I am. Not a word of this transaction was broadcast on any of the other news networks....! Those Fuuker's Think, we are Stupid....!!!

Forward these facts to others who ' care ' about this country and where it is going. Also, let all of your Government representatives know how you feel about this. SOoooo. Still don't believe me:

Below is the Wall street Journal article to confirm this.

Heheheheh I watch Beck. We'll see how he handles his new fame and fortune. Sometimes is antics are over the edge, but even my kids get his points. Thats a good thing.
I think those "teabaggers" just lost a lot of credibility by offering to pay Sarah Palin 100K to speak, then charge 500bucks a plate to listen to her.
I think their even cancelling the gig.
It seems fame and fortune always has a pricetag.
As Groucho Marx once said "Id never belong to a Club that would have me as a member." I'm kinda in THAT club.
I don't want to be classified as anything.
I'll sign a petition though. Where do I sign?

Maybe Pelosi had WAY to much cognac, schmoozing her jackboots.

"As one of the top four leaders on Capitol Hill, Pelosi had numerous tools at her disposal if she had truly wanted to block waterboarding. She could have threatened to put a hold on funding for the CIA interrogation program, or held up funding for other administration priorities, or worked with her Senate counterparts to hold up nominees for senior CIA positions, or simply called the national security adviser -- as she reportedly did in the case of the Iraq program. Pelosi did none of those things when she learned about waterboarding. By her silence, Pelosi gave her consent -- and then misled the media by claiming she was powerless to act."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/28/AR2010012803564_pf.html

Anyway. This is unfortunate, because:

No sanctions for Bush lawyers who approved waterboarding, report will say
By Carrie Johnson - Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, January 31, 2010; A06
Bush administration lawyers who paved the way for sleep deprivation and waterboarding of terrorism suspects exercised poor judgment but will not be referred to authorities for possible sanctions, according to a forthcoming ethics report, a legal source confirmed.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/30/AR2010013001411_pf.html

This waterboarding thingy is getting out of hand. What's not talked about too much is anal rape etc. With a.r. etc it's not so much a scarring experience, nothing is really left damaged (physically). It heals!! It's legal!! Also, the public tends to think waterboarding is like, ... surfing in California. Let alone, the guys in Guantanamo that the Pakastanis rounded up for the bounties, i.e. cab drivers and so on. Quite a few military prosecutors quit there, too. (Seventh Guantanamo Prosecutor resigns over ethical issues (http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Seventh_Guantanamo_Prosecutor_resigns_over_ethical _issues), Friday, September 26, 2008.)

BUT hey, it's always been obvious who the a**holes are.

Caste? At least Bushes lawyers did'nt have to go to court in NYC. That too would of been a mistake . Don't you think?
If i lived in NYC and they were trying terrorists in my neihborhood? From the 911 Crew? Nevermind who actually did it. I don't think I could handle it.
If they tryed the terrorists in downtown San Fransico? I don't think I could handle it. I'd stay away from the big cities.
Oh... I forgot...I moved from the big city cause I'm a wuss.
And now this new stuff with Iran and China? No, It's not the same old rhetoric.
Somethings brewing.

shybastid - Yup, I'm glad about that. NYC could be trial free (info to date Fri Jan 29). I don't know where it's going, but I am glad if it's not there.

They're hanging that pic of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in newspapers. like the dead bin laden (https://projectavalon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=19677) tapes resurgence lol "authenticity yet to be confirmed"

Two administration officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Friday the Justice department is drawing up plans for possible alternate locations to try professed 9/11 mastermind and four alleged accomplices in case Congress or local officials prevent the trial from being held in Manhattan.

Caste,That's an interesting point about the pic of the Sheikh doode.
I saw another recent pic of him somewhere. He looked clean, fresh and religious to me. That's the LAST thing our press want to send out as a message. He looked a LOT better in Cuba, then when we caught him.
That pic is so irriitating to look at. Ya think that's on purpose?
Nahhhhh.. OK let MSM convict him with that pic. It IS ugly.
Was that before or just after the water boarding?
If we save ANY lives...Am I for waterboarding?
I'll let Nancy decide for me. Easier
