The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s tallest skyscraper and symbol of the crazed boom,
has closed (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/08/burj-khalifa-worlds-talle_n_453469.html) indefinitely, just one month after it opened.
Mark Thornton, call your office.

Kinda like my other favorite prayer:
"Dear God;
All is not enough. Please send more, now!
Your son,
Fred"

I was in Dubai about three months ago and was shocked at what i saw. All you hear is how amazing and beautiful the building are etc etc. So i was appaled at the dirt and the fumes and the seedy bars ( no not seed bars fred). Even worse was the endless old buses filled with filipino slave labour in horrendous heat and no aircon on their way to build this ugly city. What goes around comes around, so to speak.

Stargazer;
How about the Sigmund Freud "sometimes a building is just a building" memorial building? :D
ATT;
Yeah. the whole thing was basically built by "captive" slave labor. Wonderful, huh...
A perfect end for it. "Closed due to lack of interest."

It is way to hot there during the summer. I have never been but I researched it a while back when I was thinking about a job there. It is 115 degrees with 95% humidity there during the summer. That is kill you dead heat.

General Zod's Tower :wink2:
"The world’s first completely self sustaining solar tower"
Image comes complete with its own SUN.
As we learn later on though Zod's tower has a less helpful purpose, it will, when complete and powered up, change earths Sun energy from a benign (Superman's source of power) Yellow sun to a (Zod's Army source of power) Red sun.
General Zod believes he and his army are destined to rule the human race using the same powers Superman uses to protect humanity.
"Now where have I heard THAT before?" hmmm

Remove the separator that spans the 2 halves and mentally push the 2 halves together.
Look Familiar?

Dubai airport clogged with cars abandoned by fleeing construction workers

On the night of December 31, 2008 alone more than 80 vehicles were found at the airport. "Sixty cars were seized on the first day of this year," director general of Airport Security, Mohammed Bin Thani, told DNA over the phone. MORE (http://boingboing.net/2009/02/09/dubai-airport-clogge.html)

My immediate thought was a recent interview talking about equators and sky lifts... :)

perhaps dubai , like astar in khazahkstan is an illuminati city. when they have killed everyone then they can live there. that might be the plan for all these new cities all over the world. pole shift and solar flares( gods help) are begining to look more appealing everyday.
