A whole thread has been removed yesterday.
I don't know what happened.
Two possibilities.
Or it went in the wrong direction. Would be disappointing.
Or the imposed censorship by the moderators is pretty severe. Would be disappointing too.
Moderators, if you remove a thread, you should leave something, a note, whatever. So people can know what happened.

I cannot repeat here what the thread was about, but as far as I have seen it, it was delicate, but still ok. I've put quit some effort in one post in the famous thread, and this morning when I went to see, how it went further... it was gone, the whole thread !!!

Wait a minute...

I've just got an answer by private mail...
It seems it was a mistake.
I hope they have a way of putting it back, but I fear that won't be possible.

Which thread are you referring to stefaan?

Well, whatever that thread was you can trust musado to give you a straight answer.

People may or may not like musado's answers but, musado is fair, kind, knowledgeable, and dead honest!

I am glad that musado is here moderating as well as on Open Minds.

That was me, I did it... I am so sorry. In my defense... I just want to say that some of these Mod buttons have hair triggers. You click it once and that's it... stuff is gone. (I had that "Home Alone" look on my face) Because it was gone, I did not know which members to notify that it was gone.

Yes it was deleted. Yes I did it. I am so sorry that I did not contact the posters. And Yes, I am avoiding those buttons until I finish reading the instruction manual.

Argante,
Ask an Admin if there is a 'Backup File'.
I am sure it can't be 'gone' TOTALLY.

Hopefully, it can be rescued....

EDIT: I do not know Argante but, I will say this: Argante has INTEGRITY. I fully trust the Staff here more and more each day!
Even when they make a 'Boo-Boo'. :)

Accidents happen.

It can be rescued. The thread won't be deleted from the database - it is just flagged as deleted. It can be unflagged and resuurected.

Please, resurect it.
Everyone here now has become so curious, and I won't tell.:bleh:

yeah i was participating in that thread. there was no fighting or anything going on within the tre thread. another thread on the board was locked, and i had a post edited by a moderator also. censorship is a tactic of our enemy. is it not hypocrisy that a forum of independent ideas be screened and censored.i can understand moving a topic but to erase it.

Calm down please people..

It was a genuine mistake by the Mod concerned [who has apologised] and we're trying to get the thread restored.

No more negative comments please :original:

The thread was asking members to talk about their experiences with salvia divinorum (I think, I knew it was some drug that is being made illegal).

From being a member at ATS, I knew that sites that have information about how to use drugs or experiences with drugs, get classified as "Adult" sites. If that happens... Google will not show search results for ALL topics on this forum because it is an "Adult" forum. I felt the thread might have been a danger to Avalon, and only wanted to "block" it until Bill or Kerry could make a decision.

I pushed the wrong button, and now this. It was all over so fast. I am sorry.

They 'might' need an Administrator to do it though....

So it could take a bit of time...

That is a guess on my part but, on some forums I have been on it does take an Admin to do things like that.

Your guess is correct :naughty:

..and he's not online right now, and probably wont be till later today.

Listen up people!

I'm going to lock this thread now before it starts to deteriorate. Once we've located the deleted thread I'll post in here, leave it for a few hours, then delete this one :original:
