You betcha :original:
Well, apart from that is, all the normal murderings, muggings, international theft, corruption, earthquaqe and seismic activity, pollution, dodgy deals, grace, mercy, beauty, friendship, family, brotherhood, sisterhood, nobleness, creativity, awesomeness, consciousness and
Love
that exist for the other 364 days of the year.
You are still you, my friend.. I am still me and we are still we.
Nothing to look forward to , just look to today... look to now
It won't be long before someone thinks up another date to look forward to.
So enjoy this moment while there is breath in your lungs.

A Psalm of Life
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
What the Heart of the Young Man Said to the Psalmist
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
"Life is but an empty dream!"
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
"Dust thou art, to dust returnest,"
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act to each to-morrow
Finds us farther than to-day.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,--act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o'erhead!
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing
Learn to labor and to wait.

Like I say, there's always something going down every day of the year. Throw a dart, it's hard to miss!
Like, has anyone read a newspaper, and you get the little section that says...
"On this day.... " and you get all the famous battles and historical events.
Has anyone ever seen a day when the paper prints, 'Sorry, we couldn't find anything for this day'
Everything happens someday... why look forward to it?
What is so wrong with today, that we have to look forward to tomorrow going wrong ?
Erm.. don't answer that, I know you might have a long list for me :original:

I guess you're right.
It all comes down to what we pay attention to.
Some events however are shaping our reality more than others and it is our role to choose the big ones, after they are identified we react.

what is even odder, is someone,
we know, just asked us,
where we had been, yesterday,
since they dropped into our office,
yesterday, several times
and, we were NOT here ???
This isn't just odd, it is strange !!!

I get that from time to time, a feeling of loss of time or being ahead of time.
I stopped using a watch back in 06, or rather the watch stopped using me the day before thanksgiving 2006 @ 7:23 pm. before that i was in perfect sink with SO CALLED time, but since that fait full day, things have changed..
And the closer we hit that so called 2012 date things have gotten even more out of sink as it where.
Days at times would feel they would pass within a few hours, and sometimes it would feel like a single day would take several days to pass, at times a week would seem like a day only..
I sometimes feels as though I am walking through vortexes of SO CALLED time.

That's a funny coincidence. That's about the time that my faithful SEIKO died on me. I changed the battery too, but it was always either too fast or too slow. So I stopped wearing it. Since then my days have either expanded or contracted depending on what I'm doing. Sometimes as you point out, I lose whole days and find it hard to remember what I was doing.

Interesting... two people yesterday mentioned their cell phones did strange things; one said their phone would not update the time change as they traveled, another said their phone would not access features that are normally accessed, and my phone had a warning on it yesterday morning that the time zone update feature will not operate. And last week on Tuesday I suddenly realized it was only Tuesday when I had been functioning (working each day) as if it were already Friday... so I gained two more days????????

I've had the same thing happen to me as well with days, weeks, months, and even some years. It seems that some years weren't really years of time, or time that had passed at all, like while we were going through the years 2007 and 2008.Time as I knew it has certainly changed.

I see now how I made the misinterpretation. On the Avelon home page it mentioned that those of us who used Paypal have to cancel with Paypay to stop the bank withdrawls ourselves. Kula;
This is a closely guarded family secret, so don't tell a soul!
Fred's World-Famous Scrambled Eggs
Begin with:
3-4 eggs, lightly scrambled,
Add in:
small Pinch of garlic powder,
small pinch of onion powder,
2 glorps * of ranch dressing,
2 pinches black pepper.
Scramble, again in bowl, then cook them, just like you were normal.
Serve with toast, with way too much butter on it.
*: Yes, a Glorp is a technical cooking term. Lemme s'plain.
You take a standard, small-mouthed bottle of Ranch dressing, and turn it upside down over the bowl. Contents will tend to fall out in, and make a sound which can only be described as a "Glorp!" Hence the term.
For the proper egg/Ranch proportion 2 Glorps is just right... 3 is too many. (now you've something to worry about, as well). Ranch Dressing has a "slightly tart" flavor to it which mixes most magically with, and enhances the flavor of eggs.
Fred :D

"Ranch Dressing" is a salad dressing whose flavor is based upon buttermilk and herbs. (yeah, a gringo thing, probably).
You might look around the grocer's "import section" for something called "Hidden Valley Ranch dressing".
Failing that, I goobled and found a couple places with "clone recipes" for the stuff. One at:

Another at:

Also makes a dandy thing fere dippin' yer chips in, but not your biscuits. And has been known to improve the flavor of just about anything. Except haggis, of course.

Ranch Dressing !! I make my own because its hard to find here in Cyprus.
1/2 c. mayo
1/2 sour cream or yogurt
1 c. butter milk or (1 c. milk w/1 TSP. lemon juice)
grated garlic
chopped parsley
salt
pepper
oregano, thyme, basil or any other herb you might have around
Mix well
Mmmm... Good
