What type of camera did you use?
Maybe i'll start taking pix myself.
They look good but even a digital takes fuzzy pix when on zoom i noticed.
I am thinking on taking pix of the moon when the skies clear up LOL.
I need a tripod though LOL.

hello shadowstalker
i'm using a cannon power shot.12 megapix,12 times zoom.a tripod is a must,lol
on the mars pic,i tweaked the colour saturation.it was a bit cloudy last night.
a funny thing with the camera is it can navigate through clouds sometimes.
just have to adjust the contrast and brightness.iso settings are important also.
on a really clear night the detail that the camera picks up is amazing.here is plaidies about a month ago.you dont see all the stars with the eye,but the camera sees them all, lol.its pretty acurate with the colours also.

Thanks fossileyed, I've been wanting to do this myself for a while now, but one needs the right gear, I desperately need to get a telescope! - its heavily ironic since I have a passion for stargazing.
Cheers,

hello majorion
telescope is definatly on the list, lol.i have a freind that has one,or so he says, lol.he can hook a camera up to it but he says its buried in his house somewhere.i hope for a test run before i put any money out.thinking about building one cause you get more bang for the buck if you do it right.how hard could it be,lol.
i might get lost in the stars with a telescope, already almost there, lol:original:
the first week i started taking pics at night,i caught ufos, stars, planets, satelites, shooting stars, planes.some really cool moon shots
theres a few moon and star pics in here.a couple of more albums also:cup:

The Moon is definitely the best to photograph.
I wouldn't really care missing a fuzzy orange spot like Mars, just so long I get some good Moon shots! :original:
