I've always wondered why all of my closest friends were all the same signs... Just wondering what all yours are because I've come to know you through your words and there are so many of you I completely resonate with, and of course those I don't... and we all have those.
But that is only our perspective, in essence I understand that we are all one at different levels as well ;)
Just wondering because I've known so many of you for so long I'm willing to bet that the ones I resonate with are of 4 different signs...

I won't give answers cause I do not want to offend in any way those that don't fall into the signs that I 'vibe' with nor those that I thought were those signs but weren't. We've all been here long enough that we may see the same patterns. Now that would be interesting to compare... I am scorpio :yikes:... :naughty:

I don't know; it's a good question, though! For me, I think that we just experience ascension differently, perhaps based (completely or in part.) on what our chart is. After all, someone like me (Sun in Pisces, Moon in Capricorn, Rising Aries, Mercury in Aquarius, etc.) definitely experiences ascension through my creativity, my work, my passions, my unorthodoxism and willfulness (and talent.) to look outside the box! But someone with a completely different chart (like a Sun in Cancer, perhaps.) may find their "life lessons" and ascension through their family or their significant other.

We definitely handle the "symptoms" of ascension differently - and I myself (being someone who's always been into astrology and other "pseudo" sciences.) would attribute a good part of that to whom we are at the birth chart level.

What do you guys think?

What you've said here (starting in elementary, high school, or college/university, specifically.) has reminded me of something.

I once heard an idea (can't remember where, for the life of me.) that perhaps we are the sign we are in this life based upon how far we've gotten with our enlightenment in each incarnation. The person who I heard/read this from was basically saying that we each started out our first incarnation as Ariens, living life in that kind of energy - the firy, passionate, impulsive way that only Aries can be. :) And once we learned the "lesson" we sought to learn as Aries, we would start incarnations as Taurus - until we, again, reached the "highest" pinnacle we could in that energetic soup. After that, some lifetimes as Gemini, then Cancer, and so on and so on.

I'm not a hundred percent on this theory, but it certainly stood out for me - and it's quite an interesting theory! For myself, this could be true, as I've always felt in this life that I'm pretty well close to being "done" with this way of living (which I've read is something felt by those with "old souls".) - and perhaps I'm on my last zodiacal leg on this planet, being a Piscean? God only knows, but it's definitely an interesting theory. :)

Yeah, a really good one, I would say, is http://alabe.com/freechart/. It's quick and easy - you type in your date and place of birth, and it "calculates" all that stuff for you. It's quite telling, really. And if you want anymore information afterwards (there's a limited amount of info, considering it's free.), you could just do a Google search for each section (ie. "Pluto in Libra", "Venus in Virgo", etc.) to find out more about it!

I tend to go here when I'm getting to know someone in the beginning of a relationship to see where everything lines up. I don't always read the explanation of everything, but just seeing the "Mars in Pisces", etc., helps me to get some sort of handle on how to "come at", so to speak, said person. When I first found the site, I was writing down everybody's info and checking it all out! :P

Oh, and the time of your birth is important, as it'll explain about your Rising sign. But if you don't know it, it won't change the rest of the chart (your Rising sign is pretty much the only piece of your chart that can stand alone). So if you don't know your time, just don't read about the "Rising" part, as that information will be incorrect (unless you ARE born at 12.00 in the afternoon :)).

No worries, Angel! I've been studying astrology since I was thirteen, the love and fascination for it was so strong. I bought my first book then, memorized all the info, and now here I am. :P (I did the same with numerology, acrophonology, and phrenology at that time, too.)

I personally call these the "Top Three" - your Rising, Moon, and Sun signs. I love how you have such an interesting balance there of Libra, Cancer, and Scorpio - one's family-oriented, one's friend-oriented and career-oriented (not work-oriented - I mean the Libran way of climbing the social ladder in their career. :)), and one's lover-oriented and sex-oriented! Very interesting.

I've read before that your top three tend to tell you whom you'd be compatible with, in ANY kind of relationship. Like, whomever has similar signs in their top three. For example, my Sun's in Pisces, Moon's in Capricorn, and Rising is in Aries. My partner's SUN's in Aries, MOON's in Pisces, and Rising is in CANCER. We each have an Aries, a Pisces, and the two that are left over (Capricorn and Cancer.) share the same mode of cardinal, so they're quite compatible.

So, Angel, you should go really well with someone who has a mix of your top three, whether in element (Fire, Earth, Air, Water.), mode (mutable, cardinal, fixed.), or the sign itself (Libra, Cancer, Scorpio). What are your soon-to-be-wife's top three?

I've found that astrology is a very beneficial tool - to help us get some insight into where we're coming from and how we each proverbially "tick", but the other factors give us fabulous insights as well! It's incredible how we all travel together and somehow find each other in this crazy thing called Life, eh? :wub2: I also feel connections to Russia - namely, very much west, bordering Estonia/Latvia - but I have no conscious recollection (yet.) of why. This is also fascinating. I understand how the twenty-fifth of September is tough to work with - after all, it's right on the cusp of Virgo and Libra and, looking at the zodiac, I personally think this is among one of the weirder combinations (the other being someone on the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius). Virgo and Libra are SO different in how they do things, so it's a strange combo.

It's also interesting how you aren't crazy about people born on a date of the twenty-fifth, when this reduces to seven, and YOU are born on a seventh! Not a judgment - just an observation. :)

I think they run the gamut, really, but I would call myself an "Indigo" (if we must have these labels. :)), and here I am in all my Piscean glory! :P Just like I believe we react to ascension "symptoms" mostly depending upon what sign we're born into this time around, I also believe that Crystals, Indigos, and Rainbows are born whenever and wherever - to react and act to everything going on in their own special way. spectrum - of where , you might be today is known as progressions

Progressing a chart is to take it forward into the present or future.
As you progress through life so does your birth chart.
There is more than one method of doing this.
Planets in progressed charts do not move very fast
from their natal position but as they do they make aspects
to the natal planets and angles as well as making aspects between themselves.

The house cusps, the Ascendant and other angles also progress.

It is when these progressions, whether a planet or the Ascendant,
change signs that the most marked events in one's life usually occur.

Progressions can be used alongside the transits to give more detailed information of the trends due to occur,
or what have occurred in some past event chart.

A combination of the natal chart, progressions and transits, when blended together can be very informative. Of particular interest for a yearly forecast are the progressions used alongside the Solar Return.

Progressions can also be used in attempting to rectify a birth time, although this would only be useful if some idea of the time is already known, such as: afternoon, evening etc.

The Methods of Progressing a Chart are as follows:

A Day for a Year

The day for a year method is otherwise known as Secondary Progressions. This method is the commonest and most logical to use. It takes the day of birth as signifying the first year of life, the next day as the second year of life and so on. It is as simple as looking up the planetary placements in an ephemeris for whatever day will represent the year of life. Each of these progressed days charts uses the original birth time, so that the Ascendant will also progress along with the planets. Naturally the outer, slow moving planets will hardly move within a lifetime. Sometimes the planets will remain stationary for years or turn retrograde or direct during that time. Generally, only the faster moving planets, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars are of interest as the rest hardly move in progressions.

The Day for a year progressed chart can also be calculated for any given time, not just for the start of the new year which would occur on the birthday. This requires calculation of converting the months into minutes and the days into seconds to arrive at an appropriate birth time for that chart. However, a simpler way to calculate this is to construct two charts for two successive years and divide the amount of movement by twelve to ascertain the movement per month. From this the exact position for any given month can be calculated. Using these kinds of progressions alongside a Lunar Return chart is very useful in determining in greater detail the trends for a particular month.

Using this method, the moon will take approximately two and a half years to move through each sign. Being the fastest moving planet in a progressed chart it will of course make many more aspects than the other planets. By progression in this manner, the moon will conjunct its natal position at the approximate ages of 28, 56 and 84, each marking an important time in the life of the subject.

Solar Arc Progressions

This technique of progression is also in common use. Only the position of the progressed Sun needs to be calculated. All the other planets and the angles are then progressed by the same amount as the sun has moved since the last progressed chart or the natal chart. This method is also known as moving all planets and angles by 1 degree for each year of life as it is just under one degree that the sun moves within a day.

Converse Progressions

By this method the day for a year is calculated backwards from the birth date. Although this sounds a peculiar thing to do, Converse Progressions are surprisingly effective.

Aspects in Progressions

The aspects are interpreted just the same as in a natal chart or indeed any other chart. Minor aspects are used in progressed charts as much as the major aspects. The aspects can be between the natal and progressed chart along with transits, and between themselves within the progressed chart. The orb of aspect generally allowed for progressions is a tight 1 degree.

Significant points in a Progressed Chart

When the Ascendant progresses to a new sign.

When a planet progresses to a new sign.

When a planet progresses to a new house. When any other angle (MC, IC, Descendant) progresses to a new sign

That's amazing about your and your son's experiences together! I guess i am kinda skeptical of astrology though. On the surface (which, admitedly, is as far as I've looked) it seems a pretty arbitrary way of ascribing traits and tendancies.

I guess the deepest I've looked into astrology is a pretty negatively biased side, Penn and Teller's Bullsh!t show. You guys are all so nice here, I almost hate to ask you to watch this but I would like to get some of your opinions on this show, because I'm thinking that this is a really biased view point likely, but I really have no frame of referance.

A warning though, it's from showtime, so there's plenty of swears from Penn and he's pretty loud too, but I do think they make some interseting points, mostly about those who would charge for readings. The last half of the third part is the most concerning, when people come to astrologers for life decisions.

(also, nother WARNING, don't wanna get in trouble here, it's showtime and its Penn and Teller, so there's some brief boobies at the end of the third part.:naughty:)

I was helping 3 homeless people.A woman who is 70 her son 44 and her grandson 18.I didn't give money.I gave food and transportation and good conversation and encouragement.I became involved because I felt I could make a difference based on my lifes experiences.I study people and I remember their every word and their actions and physical expressions.That is the way I am put together and I can't help myself not to relate to others.The son 44 and a virgo,tried to get his mother to put me into a cumstance to proposition her,His mother told me.His plans were to get money from me.She told me she and other family members had,had alot of problems with him.That man would come to me asking for food and other things,material,and I would give all along thinking,or rather hoping he was sharing.He kept everything to himself and let his mother and nephew know what he was doing.Virgos love themselves.Thats it.Anyone close to them,virgos, is ownership.This has been example #1 of many,many,more examples.I don't draw conclusions based on a few experiences.

Richie ya gotta laugh a little bit about the deception part ok. Not one single sign is ducky all the time, each sign has a deceptive angle to it... you just got to experience the portion of you that was gullible and I say that in a nice way not a negative way.

I have a Virgo friend in Florida who tries to come across as Mr. goody too shoes all the time yet he has the most miserable life because he keeps holding up a front. And yes he does always have a scheme brewing and he tries several approaches to get away with it. So I just chuckle at him and say "how's that one workin for ya."

Just create your own litmus test to see if someone is trying to 'pull you in' and it could be from any sign but each sign has a different strength and weakness that is being projected or protected... vulnerabilities.
