I have a question.
I have seriously been making plans to go to Ecuador.
Just talked with some South American pals...
So, Ecuador is currently using US currency...those dollars.
Who is running Ecuador? If they are using US currency?
Oh, let me guess.....hmmmmm. I bet it has a really short abbreviated name..
What happens if you are in Ecuador (possibly living there) and the US currency dumps and crashes.
This .....I do believe ...would not be a good situation...
I would think blame would be a natural response for any Ecuadorian.
And I think the rath could be rather intense.
So.
George Green had said that they were going on a to another currency situation. (gold I think he mentioned)..any new word on that?

Cheers,

It also worries me that this part of the world has major links with the cocaine trade which, as we all know, is a major industry used to enrich the families of the illuminati.

You just cannot go off and invest yourself and all the people in your circle and have it all fall apart.
It's going to be awfully hard here in the US or Europe on most everyone.
But, to go to Ecuador and to have to witness Equadorian families suffer from our collapse would be unbearable.

We have also been researching Ecuador as well...

And we also have some concerns, my next step is to make contact with family in Argentina to pick their brains....

Yes George Green did mention that HE was working on a Ecuador Currency....

Our research so far has led us to believe that there is a lot of poverty and petty thiefs as well....but that along with the possibility of drug growing and/or selling.....

We are also very confused about leaving our territory at this time, and maybe just keep doing some homework /research and maybe check out these places...Having our Passport updated for the next 5-7 years will also help in case we need to leave.....

I just wanted to add my input....

well you shouldn't have any problems finding gas, Iran just signed a major agreement with Ecuador.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - OPEC members Iran and Ecuador have signed an energy cooperation deal, an Iranian news agency said on Sunday, the latest in growing ties between Tehran and leftist South American governments that have annoyed Washington.

The memorandum of understanding included a plan to build a refinery and a petrochemical unit in Ecuador, in cooperation with both Iran and Venezuela, two of Washington's most outspoken opponents.

All three countries are members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), source of more than a third of the world's oil.

Iran, at loggerheads with the United States over its disputed nuclear program, has sought to boost international support including in South America where it has courted Bolivia and Venezuela.

"An agreement was signed between Iran and Ecuador on cooperation in the oil industry and showed the will of the two countries' presidents to increase cooperation in economy and politics," Iranian Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari said.

The gasoline news is good.
I would love to live there. Clean air, water a chance to have a real community again. To grow your own food in a dependable climate!
Ah...in Minnesota ...as they say (Zone 5 and above, should really be called Russian Roulette.)
It just goes back to currency. If the US dollar fails, others will fall also.
And, if you are in Equador or some other place. How are you going to get out with a crashed currency? Your family and friends at home cannot help you (to pay for you to leave) they will not have the currency to do anything.

So, I'm going to wait and see. I think something good is going to happen there. Just do..

Cheers everyone...think good thoughts.
Equador is becoming, so help it become!

I migrated from South America to Australia in 1980 and I think I can bring to your attention a few points about going to South America to live.
The language. Although some people speak English most people won’t.
Work. What are you going to do? Are your qualifications accepted there? Will Spanish be a barrier?
Most people will be friendly. From the time of the conquista ordinary people are trained to look up to foreigners but at the same time distrust them.
People living in countries where there are no unemployment benefits are forced to survive at whatever price. Big cities could be dangerous. Many people are living in extreme poverty.
Catholic church is very powerful. Oligarchy very strong and power usually in the hands of a few families.
Middle class usually speak English and welcome foreigners, it all depends how you fit with them.
Drugs are not a problem unless you intentionally go searching for them.
I do not know about citizenship or visa requirements that could be complicated and take some time.
Migrating to a new country means migrating into a new culture, new lifestyle, new friends, new economic system, new values, etc. In summary think carefully you could be living away from your current friends and family for many years.
