Respectfully,

After researching those links, it is apparent to me that this message was posted with either intentional, or unintentional, motivation to use fear and alarm to advertise. Perhaps every communication each of us utters could be interpreted this way, but I suggest a post like this be entitled something like:

YouTube Shutting Down Sites, Help Us
(which by the way is approximately the title of another post here on Avalon)

If we use the old world tactics to communicate with each other, we will most assuredly receive more of the old world experiences.

Namaste!

both "good" and "bad" sides
utilise the internet,
now, do you really think,
that, all the big suppliers of this service
would take kindly, to losing all their revenues ???

(they would rebel)

it is a scare tactic, NOTHING else

it was a gift given,
to All the people, of The Blue Star Planet of Earth,
it is here, to stay, in this Water World,
and, i do NOT believe, it will ever disappear !!!

(most times, things disappear, on YOU tube,
it is only, due to the fact,
that someone was using someone else's trademarks,
incorrectly, and, some laws,
protect both good / and, bad guys (The iLLs) !!!

i do NOT see the internet disappearing
anytime soon

ask ST.CLAIR, i think,
he will agree with me,
that this is an accurate statement
of fact !!!

Agreed! The word is already out, so it's a a bit like shutting the door after the horse has bolted...this is just designed to create fear. Most people like myself have downloaded the important stuff to hard drive and or burnt copies off.:tongue2:

We could do with a smiley flipping the bird :mfr_lol:

There is nothing to fear but fear itself! Apologies can't remember who that quote is attributed too.

The Internet is not theirs to shut down! The Internet is Ours, and the word is out and we are on our way to critical mass and no can stop it. The bad guys know that fear can decrease the power of mass consciousness, but darkness has no power over light. With this amount of information out at least there is somebody on each part of on the globe that "knows" what's going on, and shutting the web can not solve any problem of theirs. They are losing their control and their only weapon left is inducing fear. I just hope that more and more people start understand sooner that what's up on planet earth and wake up to their power.
:mfr_lol:

It would make no sense that those who seek to control would not at least try to stop the very thing that has allowed secrets and damaging info into the public arena.

I did hear unconfirmed reports that undersea cables had been severed in an attempt to gauge the effect on the internet.

If all else fails, and information is becoming too damaging (or will be prior to a major event) expect that the internet will in the future will indeed be severely impaired or completely disabled.

As someone has already stated, would be a good idea to download and even print off critical data.

A mass of little EMPs (fairly easily done without detection), or one large EMP, will definitely cripple the internet.

I think this is likely to happen prior to a major planned "event" that is information sensitive.

aceBryan7ox channel was amazing. He will be back.

He had a lot of full documentaries, thus infringing copyright.
It's best to split a variety of documentaries and join different bits together.

Also what he needed was a central homepage.
So if his youtube channel was pulled, everyone would be able to find his new channel quickly.

But anyway, the word will get around.

As for the NWO shutting the net, I doubt anyone would put up with it.

The most liberating and awe-inspiring moment of your life is the moment you realize There is no Truth

Perhaps that is the great irony of it all, that while TPTB struggle vainly to suppress what their deepest fears tell them is the truth....even that is not what is actually transpiring. For all things can be a different experiences to all people.

All are responsible for All. When we begin to realize this we will graduate on to a higher state of being.

Palin's private e-mail hacked, posted to 'Net

Source: http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/32838

Submitted by Paul McNamara on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 12:39pm.

The activist group called "anonymous," best known for its jousts with the Church of Scientology, has apparently hacked into the private Yahoo e-mail account of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican candidate for vice president. Contents of that account, including two sample e-mails, an index of messages and Palin family photos, have been posted by the whistleblower site Wikileaks, which contends that they constitute evidence that Palin has improperly used her private e-mail to shield government business from public scrutiny, an issue that had already been raised by others.

From a Wikileaks press release:

The internet activist group 'anonymous', famed for its exposure of unethical behavior by the Scientology cult, has now gone after the Alaskan governor and republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

At around midnight last night the group gained access to governor Palin's email account ... and handed over the contents to the government sunshine site Wikileaks.org.

Governor Palin has come under media criticism in the past week for using pseudo-private email accounts to avoid Alaskan freedom of information laws.

The zip archive made available by Wikileaks contains screen shots of Palin's inbox, two example emails, governor Palin's address box and a couple of family photos. While the emails released so far reveal little, the list of correspondence appears to re-enforce the criticism that Palin is mixing governmental and personal affairs...

ok...so this really is happening. What a day today! Not sure what to make of it yet. What I do feel is that this is just the beginning. Fear mongering? I think it's kind of beyond that. I think they are flat out going for it. and no one will put up with it? Um, as far as I know, I don't know what we would do to "not put up with it" unless we know how to rebuild the internet. Hmm...hope it doesn't come to that. I am thinking....a LOT....about moving to the woods and growing a garden in community. Ok, breathe...breathe....

I've not been able to watch anything on YouTube since early Saturday morning. The video loads and the red bar under the movie loads well enough, but when I try and play the piece all I get is a few seconds of film and then it stops - this is the same with everything I've tried to watch.

Geeks get crazy! You know better then me how the internet works and I'm sure that some of you out there want the internet up, running, free and uncencored - 'Jim, your mission, should you accept it, it to keep our internet running and the information out there.' Dissident websites crippled by Burma on anniversary of revolt
http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/tech_and_web/the_web/article4799375.ece

Kenneth Denby in Mandalay
A year after e-mailed images of its brutal crackdown against democracy demonstrations were transmitted across the world, Burma has launched a ferocious “cyber-war” against dissidents who use the internet.

In the past few days anti-government online magazines run by exiled Burmese have been inundated by massive volumes of artificially generated traffic that have forced the news websites to shut down. The attacks coincided with the first anniversary of the “saffron uprising” — ten days of mass demonstrations by Buddhist monks and student activists that culminated in a crackdown in which dozens were killed and thousands arrested.

The concerted attacks - which appear to originate in China, Russia and Europe as well as Burma — can only be the work of agents of the Burmese Government and may be an effort to compensate for its failure last year to stem the flow of images showing vast columns of unarmed demonstrators and their eventual dispersal under a rain of bullets and truncheons.

Aung Zaw, editor of The Irrawaddy magazine and news website, based in the Thai city of Chiang Mai, said: “This attack is revenge. Last year the people beat the Government in the cyber-wars by getting lots of images and live news reporting out. Now the Government is saying, ‘We're much more advanced than before and we can cripple you'.”

The attacks began last Wednesday when three websites — The Irrawaddy, the Oslo-based Democratic Voice of Burma and the New Era in Bangkok — became inaccessible. Within hours, the internet service providers for The Irrawaddy's main site and its back-up site were forced to shut them down.

The attacks were of the type known as distributed denial-of-service, which use automated programs to simulate thousands of users accessing the site simultaneously, overloading it.

The attacks eased over the weekend but Mr Aung Zaw said he feared that they would resume this week in the build-up to the anniversary of September 26, 2007, when the Government imposed a curfew and began its attacks and arrests on demonstrators.

Although only three websites have been affected they have a disproportionately large influence in reporting in a country where domestic media are strictly censored and foreign journalists can work only clandestinely.

The Irrawaddy, the most popular of the news services, has correspondents working undercover in Burma and on the Thai border. The print version has only 400 subscriptions but its website has 25 million hits and 100,000 unique visitors a month, including diplomats, journalists and activists following Burma.

A year ago the junta was shamed by the images of the saffron uprising and seemed helpless to prevent them. Eventually it shut down the internet for four days but by that time pictures had been broadcast across the world, including the notorious film of Kenji Nagai, the Japanese photographer, shot dead by a Burmese soldier.

The latest cyber-retaliation suggests that General Than Shwe, the junta's septuagenarian leader, has learnt lessons and is prepared to go on the offensive. Mr Aung Zaw said: “It's easy to see the generals as dinosaurs but they are not stupid. They have a lot of sophisticated, well-trained people - although you wouldn't think it to look at Than Shwe.”

Hi all,
As I understood it, the US-Navy has an operational-sub designed to locate,

The NAVY has LOTS of cool toys...

DARPA Submersible Aircraft - Flying Sub

DARPA wants more than pretty graphics, though; here is a list of the major requirements.

* Flight: The minimal required airborne tactical radius of the sub-plane is 1000 nautical miles (nm). The minimum surface tactical radius is 100 nautical miles. The minimum subsurface tactical range is 12 nautical miles. Note that the ranges quoted are one-way ranges. The platform would need to be able to fly to a location, insert and extract personnel without refueling and this would require the total operational range to be 1000 nm airborne, 200 nm surface, 24 nm under water.
* Loiter: The platform should be capable of loitering in a sea-state five, in theater between inserting and extracting personnel for up to 3 days (72 hours). The craft does not need to be submerged during loitering operations; it can operate at the surface.
* Payload: The platform should be capable of transporting 8 operators, as well as all of their equipment, with a total cargo weight of 2000 pounds. Depth: The operating depth of the platform will be constrained by balancing the need to reduce depth in order to minimize structural loads and snorkel complexity with the need to increase depth in order to minimize any potential signatures that could be generated by perturbing the free surface. The effect that the submerged platform will have on the free surface is exponentially proportional to the depth, therefore the platform should be able to operate at a relatively shallow depth and only have the snorkel affect the free surface.
* Speed: The speed of the platform in each mode of operation must allow the system to complete a tactical transit (1000 nm airborne,100 nm surface ,12 nm sub-surface) trip in less than 8 hours. This 8 hour time must include any time required by the platform to reconfigure between modes of operation.

CRTC initiates proceedings into its regulation of the Internet
Thursday, 16 October 2008

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) this week said it has launched a proceeding in hopes of gaining a better understanding of broadcasting in a world increasingly being dominated by the internet.

The government agency says the proceeding will include a public hearing starting on February 17, 2009, in Gatineau, Que where the federal government is inviting comments on "the significance of broadcasting in new media and its impact on the traditional broadcasting system"

In simple terms, the agency is trying to establish a role for itself in the regulation of what Canadians can and should be able to see over the internet similar to the way the commission regulates what Canadians can see over Canadian radio and television.

The result of these hearings could result in in the overturning of a 1999 decision that exempted from regulation broadcasters that distribute their video content over the Internet. The hearings will also examine a 2007 decision that took a hands off approach to broadcasters and wireless companies who were sending video through cellphones and other mobile devices.

In a written statement this week, the federal bureaucrats said the review was required now because Canadians are now spending more time watching video over the internet and mobile devices. The Commission, therefore, wishes to consult on the "the appropriateness of the Commission's exemption orders for new media and mobile broadcasting services."

With the amount of hackers in the world, the NWO wouldn't stand a chance of crippling the internet.

And even so, where there's a will, there's a way. We will prevail no matter what.

<Highlights mine.>

Interesting, I did a search for that agency and came up with:

"The industries we regulate serve Canadians in their personal and professional lives – they influence the way we see ourselves and the rest of the world, and they influence how we communicate with one another."

They "influence" :-)
Orwell would be so happy. Because without any other source or dissenting source of information, "influence" = "dictate".
