I was under the hypnosis of Dr. Brian Weiss at The Omega Institute in July '07 for this recollection.

I looked down at my feet. Black beat up leather shoes standing in dusty gray gravel. I hear the gravel move under my feet as I turn again and wave at the large black train… civil war era steamer shining and new with my mom/youngest son (as a heavyset older young man) and my oldest son (as a younger dark headed young man) hanging out the open window waving back at me. Boys… they are not boys. They are men. My men. Leaving on this giant loud train for war.

They are wearing matching pristine blue civil war Union uniforms. The buttons gleam in the sunlight. I know it is the last time I will see them both together again. My heart breaks. They are both waving and smiling at me. Their father is home working the land. I don’t see him in this life but I know his energy is a “lighter” form of my current husband.

It’s all me and my boys. Going ahead as Brian instructs us, to the next significant event of that life, it is my oldest son (as the dark headed young man) standing disheveled in my creaky wooden door telling me that his brother is dead. He tried to save him. His uniform is tatered. There is a blood stain on it. He looks so dirty and sad.

My mother from this life! My Son. Dead. So far away from me.

Flash forward to my death as instructed. I am dying of pneumonia. Can’t breathe. My oldest is there by my bed as I die. Rattling breath then silence. No pain, Brian says. I cried. Such a cleansing and connected cry.

And as the fat tears started to roll down my face outside the auditorium rain begins to ROAR on the roof of the building we were sitting in. Crazy.

I was a civil war era farmer's wife in the mid-west.
I loved my boys then. And I love them now.
A tight soul cluster is what Dr. Weiss called us.

Do I believe it to be true? No.
I FEEL it is true. I KNOW it.
I don't expect everyone to believe/know.
And that is fine.
All upon different paths back home, ya know?

Brian Weiss was the author who really got me involved into past life research, from there went to Michael Newton, a few others including Dr. Ian Stevenson. A few years back I was trying to find a regression therapist capable of performing this for me, I was so consumed with why my life turned out to be what it was and determined it was obviously the paying off of some karmic debt. Turns out since that time, it probably would have derailed my overall purpose if I had been able to get a regression done- not because it may have been false, but because my focus is need here in the present and putting my focus on who or what I may have done in another life would have kept my energy locked in the past instead of where it's needed, in the present. Interestingly enough, years later since I was able to accept that it wasn't time for me to know, I've had glimpses through a variety of experiences of what I feel to be past lives- one was actually through a Salvia experience, and some through dreams. This area of life completely captivates me, and I'm not sure how many have read Dolores Cannon's books but I would highly recommend them even for their interest value alone, I don't expect everyone to believe what she's written but I will guarantee it will open your mind.

I too have read a Brian Weiss book within the last few months and have started the search to find a regression therapist. Although I understand that the life I am living in the now is the most important, I have always felt a deep connection to my past lives and I look forward to gaining valuable insight into the experiences my soul has endured. Unfortunately, with the current economy, paying for a therapist is out of the question as of now, but I am intrigued by the story you shared and I thank you for that.

I shall have to investigate the authors you mentioned.
Thank you! :-)

It has changed my life.

I know now. KNOW.
At the end of every life I saw. Every life everyone who was in that room with me saw? The message was ALWAYS the same.

Only the love matters.
How you treat people.
Your vibration.

So I choose love. Now and forever more.
Because IMHO, everything else is just details.

I only had one past life regression and that was enough for me. When the lady leading the regression told me to look in the mirror I saw a blue reptilian male. Yikes!

I saw my first past life when I was in France and never looked back. I have processed Hubby for over 150 hours and he has had many past lives, some even back to the beginning of this universe.

I was having trouble recalling past lives and I went to a practitioner called Everlight and she helps me to consciously exercise the recall muscle. At first I get a few objects or an idea. The key for me is to not use my logical mind to negate the impressions and sensations as the incident unfolds.

One time I kept staring at a sheet of paper that I had covered up and I told her that I was stuck there staring at that sheet of paper. She said, "I want you to remove that cover and read that sheet of paper to me right now!" Gulp, yes maam, and I started reading. I found out that I had originally drafted what had been neatly printed on that sheet of paper. Good thing we can't get arrested for what we did 530 million years ago, lol.

I do not think that one has to view past life incidents in session in order to heal. In my case, I needed the "education", plus it is entertaining. Oh, but I do have to say that one session where I reviewed a very rough 24 hours many millions years ago brought me up from death's door and back to the gym.

Hope that contributes to the cause of personal salvation.

Ewwww, I know how you must have felt! That happened to me when I was doing a meditation.

Finally, while in a session I saw myself hovering around a male reptilian body on a barren planet subject to solar flares. It felt very good being in that body and now I am not afraid of Reptilians anymore and actually have a sort of admiration for the body. After all the sessions I have given to people it appears that we have been all sorts of sentient body forms -- you name it, we've experienced it.

Some Reptilian societies have had some rather bizarre and esoteric procreative practices.

Since you asked about PROgressed?, yes, once: I was in the mid-west and it was after some sort of apocalypse -- all the buildings were decaying and people lived in small groups and I walked from village to village. The funny thing is that people were very low-stress and I was very happy and cheerful as I went around from village to village talking with the village leaders. My only dismay came when I was with a village elder who had a withered right arm and I felt bad that I could not remember a certain technique to restore his arm -- a technique that I learned this lifetime.

wow, how can i do this?

I used hypnosis for this recollection.
It is like watching a movie in your mind, only you are IN the movie.

I've done it live at the workshop and then the disk provided with Weiss' Mirrors in Time book and a meditation by Dick Supten.

Can't speak on anyone else, but these work for me like a charm.

I know there are also guided PLR meditations on youtube, but I've not used them either.

I had a dream once that was SOOO real I often wonder if I was seeing/living at that monent a past life. I was on a train out in what looked like the Great Plains, outside the train were men on horses riding towards the train almost like they wanted to rob the train. as I looked out the window one of those men pointed a gun at me and the next thing I knew my vision darked from the outside in and I woke up in a sweat... I was once told you don't die in dreams (i don't know if that's true but it happened to me) so i was and still am a little confused as to what that dream was about..

IMHO... if something feels like it more than a dream? It probably is.

I had repeated dreams of having my throat slit as a teenager. Felt the cold knife and warm blood and everything. I've recently found out it was a past life trying to surface.

So you may be on to something. Have you searched images of old trains to try and pin point where you might have been? Odds are there is a news story somewhere of a train incident. You never know. :-)

Hmmm...my husband was at that Omega training last year. He performed a regression on stage with Brian. Anyway, he does this as a small part of his pyschotherapy practice, but most people aren't that interested, not where we live and not enough to pay for it, anyway!

I prefer to try to keep my focus on the now, though been a bit obsessed with the future lately.

I got pulled up to be hypnotized on stage during the weekend one.
That was CRAZY. Coming out of it covered in tears in front of 120ish strangers.... a tad unnerving. :-)

I am taking the week long course this October so I can learn to regress people. Did your hubby like the course?

Not sure if this will ring a bell for anyone (except the blue reptilian male, above :D ), but I sometimes do the following meditation...

I look into the mirror and focus my attention on both eyes (the reflections) at the same time. Not one then another in succession, but both at once.

First body and face outlines start to shine (as in after-images), the background starts to fade to black, and then the reflections start to change. I start to see different eyes and different faces in my reflection. Not clearly, but still perceivably so. Some of them I feel intuitively uneasy about. Only very few I have felt neutral about. I have yet to experience a positive glance. ;) I may have even seen something reptilian in one of the faces...

Has anyone else tried this? Maybe you should, to expand your past-life viewing arsenal! :D

If a dream is running serially and it's like a soap opera with costumes and you are the star and there are no commercials, then it is a past life recall. I find that viewing the dream is just an opening and that I need to have the help of a practitioner to look further, examine all angles.

A couple of nights ago I dreamt I was in a large public area and suddenly a huge ship formed out of the clouds and sat on the roof of the mall. I immediately ran while the ceiling was crumbling down. As I ran outside and under the crumbling overhang there dropped in front of me some helmeted military types pointing their weapons at me. I slowed a bit but didn't really have much choice but to keep going forward. Then this "dude" dropped down. He sure looked different. He let me pass. It was like being on a planet that was being invaded by magical clowning around types. What I picked up in the dream -- very important -- is the duality or polarity of "run" and "hide" which I could then run out in my next session. Very important to see exactly what one is deciding when dealing with the trauma or upset. There are usually two "identities" locked up against each other and now on automatic. Can be very stifling in everyday expression until it gets looked at fully.

I do that all the time!
I watch my kids do it.
And when my 6 year old asks me if his face is really changing I say, "Yes, but not in this dimension." Good thing he is okay with being different. Good thing he remembers picking me to be his mom (again).

Thank you!

I certainly am not a past-life regression professional, but I have done some research on past-life regression and have learned that if you are not careful the outcome may not be positive, so please be careful everyone. Protect yourself with high vibration and positive light and set boundaries before viewing.

With that said, I have learned a technique where you meditate in a quiet safe place and envision yourself in a two-story house standing at the top of the hallway stairs. Take deep calming breaths and slowly walk down the stairs and sit on a couch at the bottom of the stairs facing a closed door(s) leading to another room. Near the couch you are sitting on you are surrounding with positive light coming through all of the windows in the room.

After sitting on the couch peacefully take a deep breath and walk to the door(s), and open the door(s) to the next room. If the doors do not open do not proceed further (something is not right and you should not view your pas lives at this time). If the doors do open walk in to the room and mentally state that you are only watching your past lives from afar and you will safely walk out of the room of your own free will, when you are ready, in peace.

The next step, after you walk in the room, is to sit on the couch and look at the wall, which is suppose to show your past lives, but something happened where I did not just look at a wall to see my past lives as instructed, instead I walked over to a movie projector and turned it on to see my past lives. What I saw was amazing. When each image would fade to grey I felt somewhat drained and vulnerable and would remind myself that I was still in the room only watching through the projector. Then I would take some deep breaths and switch the projector back on to view more, when I was ready.

At a certain point I felt as if it was time to leave the room and I turned the projector off, gave thanks and positive light and walked out of the room and up the stairs. Then I opened my eyes and was amazed at what I had seen and felt.

Here is what I saw:

1st image – A young woman (mid 20’s) sandy blond hair, sitting at the bottom of a shallow staircase leading from a living room, posing for a photograph, with many infant and toddler babies surrounding me/her on the stairs and on the floor. Positive atmosphere (seemed like the present time)

2nd image – close up of young girl – happy – vibrant – brunette, girl next door looking – she was sitting on the floor in a dark upstairs (felt like late afternoon) hallway of a two story house that reminded of a farm house, smiling at me (seemed like maybe the 60’s)

3rd image – I/she was in a very sophisticated atmosphere, I/she was petite woman with blonde hair in a bun, age late twenties, wearing a floor length evening dress (yellow or maybe pastel lime color with a lace overlay), I/she was walking through a beautiful cathedral ceiling dining room (felt like it was in a hotel) with very ornate décor. It was midday or maybe late afternoon and I/she looked out of the huge floor to ceiling windows at the beautiful view of a meadow and trees outside. I/she felt very weak, some type of physical illness (felt like lungs maybe). I/she joined two men and maybe another women. One of the men asked how I was feeling and I replied, “quite well thank you” (seemed like sometime around the turn of the 19th century)

4th image – elderly man, with salt and pepper hair that was shoulder length, I/he was being carried on a make-shift gurney through some type of very large courtyard surrounded by high stone walls with a lot of space in between them (no trees or other obstructions around and it felt like some type of castle or fortress). The atmosphere felt tense and possibly there was a war going on. I/he was wearing Renaissance type clothing, and I/he had something wrong with my/his lungs, possibly dieing soon, but I/he was not afraid. He seemed very tranquil and worldly. (felt like 1600 – 1700’s era)

5th image – a very quick flash of an exotic female face, almost animated looking. Lying down on her side, looking directly at me with no expression on her face. It felt like she knew I was there and it spooked me a bit. She has short Brunette hair, big brown eyes with no iris –the entire eye was the same shade of dark brown – she was not quite human looking and I somehow knew she wasn’t human (cannot identify time and space)

6th image – A very quick image of an older man, very vague (too quick to identify time space)

I'm curious to know -- when one accesses a past life through hypnotic regression does one have full conscious recall of what went on during the session or does one have to learn it from the notes and recordings?

Ever done it?

Once. Many years ago. Under hypnosis, I cast back 100 years...nothing. We went back another century...nothing. Back and back, until I suddenly got a perfectly clear glimpse of myself spear fishing from the prow of a reed boat on the Nile. That was all, it only lasted a few seconds. Some of the others who were hypnotized by the same individual had some detailed narratives, but that was it for me.

I was told by one of my mentors when I was quite young, that a vision would come to me that would tell me of my past. That vision was also brief, and it also concerned Egypt. To me this fits, and helps explain a few things: that I have lived in this world before - but not for a long, long time.

Yes.

You're not asleep, just in a trance.

It's kinda like driving down the road by yourself without really paying attention, also called "Highway Hypnosis" If nothing happens that the conscious mind hasn't seen before, it'll just kinda blank out. But if something new and different happens, it will remember.

The regressionist/hypnotist also makes a huge difference by the suggestions they give. They will usually instruct the mind to remember, unless it's too traumatic or fearful, they may simply instruct the conscious mind to forget those parts.

Oh yes. I recall every word I say, every sensation and everything that is happening around me. Every detail more vibrant than a waking memory. Mostly because while being put under you are told (or, I say)
"You can remember everything....".

Oh, okay, thank you. The only one time I visited a hypnotherapist she was unable to "hypnotize" me so I'm not sure what happened there :nono:

In our own past life sessions we suspend our logic or mind chatter and let the images and impressions, sensations, etc. come to view. I feel very conscious, but simply accessing a different part of my mind, perhaps the 3rd eye pineal gland or my higher self, although that might be too grandiose. Seeing, feeling, sensing takes some practice and we still need someone to guide us.

cheers!
