Ike is carrying "Diseases"???

I've had CNN on today, and just heard something disturbing. The anchor just claimed that it's possible that Hurricane Ike may "stir up diseases". Could this be a cover for the release of a pathenogen??

I know, but it's just odd that they'd say that on the tail of rumors of biological warfare being possible. I hope it's nothing, but CNN seems fairly evil sometimes.
