I'm desperately trying to find a way to convince my parents of what's going on in this country. Can anyone speak to the effectiveness of this book?

I have only skimmed through the book, because most of its contents I was already well aware of, what I read seemed right on though, I've since lent it to my Mom. She finished it and said it was an excellent read, she learned a lot about how things are really working, and learned that we really are in a dangerous time and we can't just pretend everything is ok. It covers many topics that are factual so you really can't deny its truth.

Thanks so much for your reply. Am I to assume it is rife with hard historical fact from which it draws its parallels?

I'll be talking with my mom tomorrow, I'll find out for you then. It's safe to assume it does though as Naomi is very professional.

Mark Molaro does a 38 minute interview with Naomi Wolfe wherein they discuss the book. Maybe you could watch it with your family?

I've watched these, and was very impressed (though it's a bit like preaching to the choir), but my dad is most affected by things he can read on the pot. Therefore, I'll be reading the book BEFORE giving it to him.
