Hi, tomorrow!
I'm happy to find another who is looking at this information. I've been studying the 'control grid' for a number of years. It started out with disbelief, but once the veil is lifted, if you keep observing, it becomes impossible to ignore what is happening in the world around us. Once your viewpoint begins to change, you start looking for reasons to explain why things are the way they are.
I have read volumes of information, from metaphysics, to religion, to you name it. Usually I have always been left with a nagging intuition that the words contained some truth, but something was missing. After reading just a few pages in the Handbook, I was shocked. Things just clicked.
Maybe I am off my rocker, but there is something to this. I have never in my life posted to a forum. Too much chatter. There is something to this information, and I think those of us who are listening need to get off our butts, gather together, and see where this leads.
What do you think?

Let's get together!

I live near Cameron but I'm in KC all the time.

I have a large office, a former large classroom with blackboards and Ballroom with full kitchen at my disposal for events if we need them.

I am very well versed on what's going on and very gung ho!

I posted in the SE Kansas Thread too so let's get the ball rolling and get together!

When do you want to get a meet up together? Should we set up something at www.meetups.com???

Jonathon,
Is your meeting room in Turney or closer to KC?
I've got a pretty flexible schedule, so I can work around just about any time. Any interest to finding a common spot this coming Sunday evening?
By the way, I had a guy that worked for me for years that is from Turney. His mother still lives there.
I look forward to meeting everyone!

i am getting somewhat prepared, my home battery backup just got finished this weekend, using about 22 batteries and 8000watt power inverters, i am good to run about half my house as i normally would for around 32 hours, also have a manual power generation to charge them along with solar trickle charger to charge during the day, should be good for several months of power till the batteries take a crap, so i have the power part figured out now, just in case that goes down, the only other thing is now, if something does actually happen what about food and water purification??
i just figured i would get the power part done first..

Quincy, IL here. As far as I am concerned, it is as much the St. Louis area as it is anything other than an island unto itself. I moved here in February temporarily while I complete some educational training. St. Louis is where I go for "civilization" when I just have to have it. In fact, I am going to be in O'Fallon, MO next week!

Ok, I'll act as the committee Chairman for the KC and surrounding area meetup this weekend. lol

Let's meet at 75th Street Brewery in Kansas City off of Wornall on , yes, 75th street!

I'll arrange for the private party room in the back so we can hear each other. lease let everyone you know that is interested. Time of the meeting will be 6:00 to 9:00ish PM, if it goes longer, great!

Bring your laptops if you have something to share. If anyone has a digital recorder with USB capability or camcorder and tripod to record the conversation, please let me know so we can post it for those who are unable to attend. Thank you.

Drop me a line here on the forum if you're bringing one to avoid multiple instances.

Leave a message on here if you are able to attend or if you're unable to attend. As well, what would be a convenient time in the future for you.

I really look forward to meeting you all!

It is obvious by the number of views that there are a lot of people here in the Kansas City/Midwest area that are at least interested in forming communities.

We Midwesterners seem to be stuck in the beginning of the first steps. Could it be some of that Missouri type stubbornness and “The Show Me “attitude?? Perhaps we are just a little less farther along in the “acknowledging and accepting “phase of what truly is happening. Perhaps some are “put off” by some of the threads or think some of the people here on PA are just a little too strange? Maybe you don’t think you have anything to bring to the table as far as skills or attributes.

We have to meet each other halfway. Trust and faith in each other are huge steps in forming successful communities or at least a good place to begin. We will need people of all types, ages, skills . . . . the more diversity we have the more successful we can be. Because our foundation will be formed on hope, love, compassion, vision, excitement, adventure, strength, and positive, exceptional transformation. These are just a few I can think of . . . . add some more!! :gathering:

Let’s start a dialogue of your concerns about getting together. You can do this anomalously here on this site. I am reaching out a hand to you and I don’t bite! :flowers2: :welcomeani:

Blufire, I absolutely love your last post, as well as, your enthusiasm. You are entirely correct. Diversity is what makes the world interesting. Healthy skepticisim may be a good thing but it's important to do something while there's still time in which to do it. Everyone is busy, but it's a matter of making our future a priority. Hope to see you all soon.

I am not within two hours of downtown St. Louis, but St. Louis is the nearest city to me. That is, unless you consider Quincy, IL as a city itself, but I do not. I recently moved here from Western WA to attend a local trade school. I have made an acquaintance here who I am pretty sure would qualify as a member of the ground crew, but it would be great to meet others nearby.

Truly it is great that the folks in Kansas City are so willing to get together and take the first step. I would be willing to meet with some folks in St. Louis sometime. Hopefully, there will be others near St. Louis willing to do the same very soon.

Peace.

Hello all!

I want to take a moment to impress upon everyone the necessity of getting together this weekend. I'm sorry if I'm being "serious" here, but there is quite a heavy gravity to the situation right now. Anyone that knows me would tell you I am not a SERIOUS person at all. So please take me seriously here on a little analogy for the moment.

If the economy came to a screeching halt tomorrow before our meeting and everything went hell in a hand basket, where would you be?? No plans, no on group to work with, nothing. You're on your own, right?

Second scenario, you come to the meeting, people meet each other, we codify some core issues, we have phone numbers, addresses, and starting plans galore.

Which situation sounds more confrontable???

There are only two ways you can be wrong in this physical universe of ours.

Over or under estimation of effort.

I would much rather overestimate the amount of effort in our current situation and have people of a like mind to survive with etc. myself. Not to mention the scenarios beyond that which need more data evaluation and estimation still...

How about you?

Please listen to the new George Green audio posted yesterday. If 50% of the things occur, we are in big trouble. Maybe they won't at all, but, at least we can be prepared and ready if for nothing at all.

Please attend this weekends meeting for yours and everyone else's sake. Sorry to be so hard core, but it gets the point across.

Thank you.:original:

Here is a description:

The Nest gives you and your guests a birds-eye view of the brewery from our indoor "balcony." It accommodates up to 25 for a sit-down meal or up to 30 for a casual cocktail party. The Nest is the perfect place for a business luncheon or a birthday party.

Many things are considered a conspiracy theory until they come to pass. Many people are conspiracy theorists until they act. Often people are content to sit on the sidelines theorizing and analyzing. It is important to ask oneself, "Do I want to act or react?"

Hello Midwesterners,

Our third “physical” meeting (we have had several on chat) will be this Saturday, October 25 at 4:00.

The meeting will be here on my organic/eco farm just south of Kansas City. We wanted to combine the meeting part with a Autumn get-together . . . . complete with camp fire, smores, animals (lots of baby chicks), fishing, organic hamburgers and laughter. Come meet like minded people that you may want to form a community with. We are on our way in establishing 2 possibly 3 zoned communities now.

We are people from all walks of life, we look like and are your neighbors, co-workers, college students, doctors, financial advisors, electricians, computer programmers, lawyers, teachers, printers, farmers, mothers, fathers, husbands, wives and children. Normal people in a very difficult world who want to build a new abundant life.

Also I wanted to announce that I will be giving homesteading, herbal and gardening classes this coming year here on the farm. Learn how to grow and preserve your own food, chickens, medicine or just how to survive out of the concrete jungle!

Post here if you are interested in coming to the meeting this Saturday or in the classes and we will be in touch.

Hi everyone!
This is my first post. I'll be moving to MO very soon and would like to talk with others that are VERY serious and already preparing for surviving these next few years ahead. I have a very secure property I'll be moving into pretty far from main cities and would like to discuss building magnetic motors to run the place as well as any inventive ideas you may have for generating power, water capture and filtration, medical tools and procedures, food creation and storage, hunting, self defense, etc. I've done quite a bit of research throughout the years, so I've got a lot to contribute and am always learning more every day. I can't disclose my specific location until I've talked with you for quite some time though. I'm sure you understand why. I just want to try and get connected with whomever is in the vicinity so that when the time comes we can combine resources to aid in a better chance of survival.

Very happy that this forum was developed!
Hope everyone had a good Halloween!

I have tried several times to go to the site, but I cannot get the link to work. I would really like to be able to get in touch with others of like mind in the Missouri area. If there is another way to access the site, I would appreciate any help you could offer.

Thanks,
Kre8ive Lady

Hi All, I'm located in a small town between Springfield and Joplin Missouri, I could meet in either city.

I live just NE of Springfield.

HELLO FELLOW SHOWME FOLKS,

Showmemo here wanting to say I moved to Southwest MO area north of Springfield MO. have a wonderful farm after traveling around the U.S. looking at different areas to relocate just could not find the right area or the right feel although many areas where wonderful I did not get the "MAN THIS IS IT" feel.

SO we saw this place right in our own state and BAM! it felt right and was a good fit with what we where looking for.We moved away from the STL area and do not miss it one bit.

I wish to talk to folks near us in the OZARKS (Southwest MO) as we can work together if interested just let me know.
