View Full Version : What happened to expanding the ground crew?

Since ive joined this forum i have direced seven people to it.
Those seven people were coming here regularly until the changes and now five of them have told me that they are no longer interested in the way in which the forum is headed.
The original intent of this place may have been different to the purpose it was formally carrying out but it was doing an incredible job of getting average people interested in this line of study.
This isnt just about the ground crew, it should be about informing other people as well. And that is much more important then simply working with the people that are currently interested.
My sister would not watch the videos until she came here and saw other peoples opinions on them. That had value. That was constructive.
We are severly lacking on numbers here, this change has just served to reduce those numbers to the hardcore few whos life revolves around this stuff.

There are 4 laws that can inform and guide us in this forum, and they are the same as the ones that are talked about in the GC books.
1) attraction
2) intent
3) allowance
4) balance
"AIAB"
Have you not seen these play out in the wonderful, explosion of energy, that came as this forum started? Intent Attraction: I would say that this was a clear demonstration of the law of attraction at work, by virtue of the massive joining and contribution rates.
You are now seeing outcome of some "intent" (B & K's intent more than anything).
The rest of us need to exercise the law of allowance :)
The law of balance will invoke itself all in sweet time.
Remember - there are no errors in the big scheme of things. Its all good.
You are a nice person :)

Isn't this forum supposed to be people led?

Isn't this forum supposed to be people led?
No freaking way!! :bleh: I thought it was genetically modified tomatos!
As much as a disagree with the new changes because i felt things were going pretty well before the project camelot crew have a point.
I figured that the project camelot site was already doing the job of making sure the diamonds did not get lost amongst the sand but if this is how the moderators want it then im happy with their decision because it was made with the good intentions.
I was also under the impression that there was much more restrictions then there actually is, which is why i had planned on not coming back. But i can see the changes have not affected posting at all in this section of the forum and that counts for a lot. Hope this works out for the best!

Welcome Back!
Is this a bad time to talk about not jumping to wrong conclusions? LOL
:yikes:
I'm joking....
I look forward to more valuable posts from you and other members.
Peace

I'm glad you feel that way.
I liked the forum because of the diversity of ideas and opinions and you're
right that people who aren't used to this info were being attracted to
new ideas and ways of thinking because there was a language to suit them all
somewhere in here.
Now if they come on they see people talking about what knives are best
for killing bears and others calling anyone that disagrees with them a disinfo agent.
I believe the mods when they say the situ is temporary and I hope that
means soon because the energy has been sucked from the forum.

I felt right at the start of this forum coming online that the vast amounts of energy being directed here wouldn't last.
IMHO the energy was unsustainable and there was going to be a period of re-adjustment, hence a lowering of energy on a temporary basis.
With the re-structuring of this forum, it has shown beyond a doubt how poorly people respond to change that they personally feel they can't change.
Now how would they deal with change on a global basis if it didn't fit into they way they feel things should be?
Don't anyone get touchy, just my own thoughts, doesn't mean there right.

Well put Jay but the energy didn't drop because of stamina or a levelling out process.
It dropped because half the site became a library overnight.

Is that what www.projectcamelot.net was for?

From what I can gather the Project Camelot site was designed as a retrospective look of events ie our History. The Project Avalon site was designed as a medium to talk about current events and to network and create radiant zones.
Project Camelot = Retrospective
Project Avalon = Forward Looking
This explains (I hope) why certain sections of this site was locked.

As someone who as taken some WELL DESERVED, and some not so well deserved lumps in these forums, I have to say that the changes made do not seem to be inhibiting the free expression of ideas.
I'm skeptical of everything I read or watch, and disagree with much that I read here. But I'm still here, and enjoy the different perspectives.
If physical communities - the "radiant zones" - emerge as a result of the efforts here, our entire species benefits. I do not see how the changes have made a difference in sharing our ideas and perspectives.

Certain sections became locked, as I understand it, because witnesses were being abused. There seemed to be a certain lack of respect or empathy for Henry Deacon, for instance, who is in bad health and was under constant attack. I agree that there is no reason he should put up with such a situation. He still wants to contribute his ideas, and will do so, I believe, through questions or comments PM'd to him, which he will answer publicly.
