What's not funny here is just how believable this sort of thing has become...think about it.

All of the experts, witnesses, and radio hosts who are "aware" (for lack of a better word), always beseech us as individual researchers, to investigate their claims.

I think sometimes we accept things simply because they look and sound official, as this video certainly does.

Even if you are not familliar w/ the Onion or didn't notice the Onion-span logo in the corner, a quick google search would tell you that the Pa. twelfth congressional district has been occupied by Dem. John Murtha since 1974.

Although this video is harmless, there is so much harmful disinfo out there.

Fear is easily spread because it inspires panic, which in turn leads to irrational thinking. Case and point; the first few results from a google search for "rep. john haller" make no mention of this being a mockery.

Keep your wits about you when fear grabs your attention.
