For the past 20 years I've been reading various doom predictions, and none of them have come true.
But some of the latest predictions have a new legitimacy because they are attached to an economic component, and we all can see that the economic side of things is falling apart big time.
I will still need to see something other than bleak economic news to believe that the canned food, candles, bottled water, stashed cash was a wise move on my part.
OK, maybe I'm wrong. An earthquake would make my efforts seem like a stroke of genious.
