Every country for itself, apparently.
Big heroes out there...their friend is hanging over the cliff in a thin thread...then go in and do the final stamp on their fingers to make sure they fall into the abyss.
Cynical stuff indeed....

funny how they did that just after russia purchased iceland, and also strange how the anglo/duch banking cartel told theri own countries councils and people to invest in icelandic banks, how convinient. then they pull the plug on iceland and voila we have european meltdown.. i think we go first before the usa.. funny on mainstream media also, they said bank stocks have gone up but so had the interbank lending rates, WHAT A SUPRISE LOL. the msm guy basically said goive it time and thismis just a symbolic rise.. buckle up

110.000 Dutch people lost an amount of 1.6 billion euro to Icesaver.
Iceland will not garantee a pay back of 20.000 euro per account.

Didnt the government just advise local authorities to start spreading their cash among lots of banks to lower the overall risk?
These anti terror laws being used wrongly is a joke. They should be able to seize the assets no problem but not by using anti terror laws. I guess they have used a part of this law that links to proceeds of crime as they can suspect some criminal involvement without evidence
funny how they did that just after russia purchased iceland, p
what do you mean russia bought iceland..
iceland is only the size of plymouth btw .. hardly a major economy but apparently JOHN Prescott told the local councils to invest in a bank with the highest returns .. so loads of them chjose the icelandic banks.. with a billion of tax payers money ...
no wonder gordon browne has seized their assets .. i dont blame him
