Jan 21st will be his first day in office, the interviewer brought up that date for that reason. Powell mentions new problems on that date for the simple reason that there will be of course :)

i believe the "crisis" he may be refering to is the fact that a new pres. will be in office and will be faced with quit a plate full of probs.

Powell has been stumping malls with George Bush. Cheney's active on the talk circuit. Who knows their connections on the inside, probably firm. Like The Firm lol I'm going to read the link though, was trying to find it a few weeks ago.
