We live on the Waters Edge and so had Flood and Home insurance. We inherited the property from my folks, they had a mortgage that required insurance.
Our company dropped us and 'all our area' as we are due for the next hundred year storm, this after insuring us for 30 years. Our home is now paid for and we have decided to drop the 'concept' of Insurance. It looks to save us about 5K per yr.
My dad used to sell insurance, but I always felt it was a rip-off, and created a self fulfilling prophecy situation. I'm actually glad we decided to not 'play that game' anymore. I was laid off due to slow work and we could not afford it any longer anyway, but could have borrowed from family to keep it going. I'm feeling like with the world situation now it seems laughable to undertake it anyhow as your just throwing out money. They could not fix anything anyway, as to whats coming. :mfr_omg:
What do you all think and what are you all doing in this regard?

Don't bother , except for liability , put the difference in a secure account, or these days into Gold Coins. We are paid up as well, and are going to ditch the Insurance Companies, many are going broke already, so how much do you think they can pay out next year?

Exactly those days are from the Old Paradigm and really a fear based type program. I never thought it wise to throw money out for the bad that will surely be coming. Then you create bad things to validate your belief in the need!

Hi Efields : )
I personally have unplugged from the matrix in every way, shape and form possible. Insurance was one of the first to go...it simply being a subset of the main bank and commerce fear and control and distortion and distraction web.
That whole world as we know it is coming undone, imho, right now. We truly are going from ownership to stewardship and it will happen sooner than we can imagine. And it can happen smoothly and without panic as long as a good portion of us around the world are tuned into the Higher Consciousness and we do everything we can to help others in front of us...while of course keeping ourselves fully aligned with the loving changes first and foremost.
Commerce is about to take on a whole new spiritual life of its own!
And we are going to help it do so!
Onward and Upward !
You did and are doing good, in my opinion : )

Well, my two cents worth is as follows . . . . . .
No job = no income.
Property is freehold = has some monetary value. :original:
Sellproperty = recover monetary value. :woot_jump:
Buy Winnebago and head for the hills = no fixed abode. :biker:
That's got to spell freedom from floods and things that go phhhtttt in the night in anyone's language. :thumb_yello:

I resent it.
This about this: all of the money that collectively gets paid to insurance companies doesn't really get spread around to pay for the needs of the insurance holders, it just gets used up in salaries.
I like the old fashioned idea where communities took care of each other. What if every member of your extended family didn't pay insurance, but put that money in a collective family pot instead? Then when emergencies happen, the needed money is taken out of the pot to cover the bills. If someone is repeatedly doing something sloppy and 'asking for it' I am sure the family would be more than happy to correct the stupid behavior (like building a house along the banks of the Mississippi or drag racing).

Unfortunately, the state I live in requires basic car insurance. It isn't expensive but it won't do much for me if I were to be in an accident.
I feel that insurance is worthless. After my experiences with health insurance through my employers, I don't think it's worth it. The insurance companies always exercise some loophole so that they don't have to give me money.
**** that. Why give them money if they won't give it to you when you need it?

I sort of knew what we all felt. In this forum its preaching to the Choir!! I just wanted to have some confirmation as my family is SO Brainwashed from dad's being in the Insurance business!
It's just buying into the Collective Fear.

Insurance companies take the monies from the customers and invest it in the markets. AIG is an insurance company... The insurance companies in America have run out of money a couple of times in the last year and have covered it up. Your the costomer base is the only thing that has held them together. If Everyone stopped paying thier mortgage and insurance for two months there would be no use for money, the whole thing would stop.

INSURANCE = Legalized Extortion
Extortion
Def. 2. charging of unfairly high prices: the charging of an excessive amount of money for something (informal)
They can dress it up pretty as they want, unless it's an option you want and can afford...it's like being under the thumb of the mob. :wall:
It's just another racket.

Insurance is a four letter word, just don't have a fire, or better yet just have some garden hoses ready.
