re: my UFO sighting..
It was early 2004, victoria park in Kelvin Grove close to Brisbane city.. I was on my way to the golf course at the very top of the hill at night with 2 girls that I lived with at the time.. we would often go there to drink beers, smoke a joint, look at the stars etc For the first time ever I lay down in the park at the bottom of the hill for some reason (on the way) and asked K.. & S.... to lie down next to me.. i am an amateur astronomer and I started pointing out different constellations to them...
We were facing the direction of the city/valley and there was a large white (bigger than full moon) disc shaped object hovering over the city.. it would have been directly over spring hill/roma st parklands area.

I didn't even notice it there untill it moved extremely rapidly and I mean FAST shot off on like a %60 angle heading straight out into space we all watched it get smaller and turn into a tiny speck of light and completely left the earth's atmosphere and was gone! This all happened in about 1-2 seconds. I had been interested in UFOs for many years before that and always thought if I saw one it would be shocking, but we were all extremely calm and just said well it wasn't a plane, shooting stars dont do that.. we just saw a UFO. I hope it was some nice E.T's and not some military alien-reproduction-vehicle.

I had noticed a couple of months before that what looked like plejaren remote telemeter ships or the famous mexico ufo fleets.. you know the ones that look like lots of white dots moving in parallel.. over my house but very high up in the sky, I watched them for over an hour but everytime I tried to count them there seemed to be a different number.. there was only between 5 - 10.. as there is a chance they could be balloons or something I don't consider this a sighting but I thought it was unusual at the time.

Can we start a thread for other people here to talk about their personal UFO sightings?

I thought I'd 'fess up...:naughty:

It was in '96 that I could unequivocally say that I first saw a UFO. I was with two others, one being my partner at the time, while we were at Lake Eildon. It was really quite weird because it looked like a tadpole "swimming" in the sky and it emitted it's own light. I must admit I was quite taken back by it and refused to believe that it might be a UFO, however it made quite an indelible mark on me. Since then I have seen others but not quite like this one.

Tuza, maybe it would be worthwhile to visit Eildon if not just for a place to get away from the big smoke.:original:

..or even Hanging Rock on a moonless night.

I feel your pain, every time I go out at night I am looking and asking but I get nothing.

Maybe I need to stand on a tall building with one of these > :welcomeani:

lol

EDIT:

Well wait a second, there was this one time as a little boy..btw I am almost 22 now if you were wondering. I woke up in the morning
and looked out the window of our 2 story home and I saw what looked to be a floating metal trash can but very large about a couple streets down,
I woke my dad and asked where my batman binoculars were because I wanted to investigate. I never found them which sucked but I did stare at it for a very
long time wondering what the hell it was. About a couple weeks later I was traveling on the road with my dad or grandma> can't remember, but I thought I saw this object
again very low moving to the ground in broad daylight, I thought that it had crashed or landed. BTW not sure if it was a weather balloon but the first one was NOT it was hovering motionless
and it was obviously important enough to remember and think of what it was to this day.
