Well, if that photo is genuine (and i feel it is), it's truely amazing. :thumb_yello:

I liked it when they talked about whole forests (!) beeing of course purposely avoided by Mars probes.

Have you read 'Dark Mission' from Richard C. Hoagland ?

He cites in this book that in one of these Mars missions, the rover found a fossil, a life proof.
Well, hey gave the OK to crush it to dust right away after few preliminary examinations...:shocked:

I am a firm believer there was life on Mars, and seeing a real life photo like this one, even though it's b/w and to be validated, is mind blowing.

It implies a huge consciousness leap, a drastic change of perspective.

No doubts it "officially" released information. I think they are obliged to inform the public a little bit, to fill the huge gap about common street perceptions and the reality of the known situation in 2008 of thoses who are insiders.

Forests on Mars? I took a Field Ecology course and I'd love to document the forests on Mars. They've got to be totally hardy to be able to survive in what could be soil with a very low pH (highly acidic).

Very interesting discovery.

Well one more evidence that there is or was life on mars.

With the face of mars and the pyramids dicovered before and now this piece of wood there is definetly some sort of cover-up over this planet.

If it is a real photo of wood on Mars, The real question isn't about plant life. The real question would be who cut the wood? It is not a tree in the mud but a piece of tree that was cut for a purpose...

Look at he straght lines in the dirt as well as the rocks look like they wear part of something at one time, there is diffenently something on mars unless this is a studio some place, here on earth :(

EDIT: The white dot appearing in the OP photo here seems to be a reflection of a scattered piece of the lander.
