A quick dollar devaluation would work wonders for submerged borrowers. Don't kid yourself: It could happen.

What began as government social tinkering--with implied threats to banks and mortgage companies to extend home loans to even the most marginal of borrowers--led to a greed-blinded mortgage banking business and the meltdown we are experiencing today. Now we are asked by the same congressional leadership to go along with taxpayer-funded bailouts of the very banksters who, while making millions, created the mess.

Damn, so they're starting to slip this into the mainstream? An experiment of sorts?

If history repeats itself (which it does all the time) then its a dead cert. I'd say it'll be at least a 30% dollar devaluation, and soon.

I have tried to talk to people I know that are not aware of this site just to give them an idea of what they should watch out for (dollar devaluation and a 500% increase in gas prices). Even if that stuff doesn't come true, it's not a bad idea to have some idea of what COULD happen.

No overstatement to say that (for me) the PC site and subsequently this forum has changed my life in what it has introduced me to. Wonderful. You could stay on the threads forever and never go out......

Same here.

I do try to be a bit cautious but I'm more fascinated with ufology and the moon.
