See that's what I love about "The Lounge", it's a place where everybody can come into and just be their light hearted selves. We've no idea how much time before something happens where the net may go down, so this is a nice time to get that info stored onto your hard drive, discs or flash drive.

I also want to personally thank Don, Fritz, Joy, Tez, Miki, Henry and the many other researchers who assisted in this daunting endeavor for all of thier outstanding hard work. They have been working almost non-stop throughout all of December and up to now putting in hundreds of hours gathering this data, organizing it and preparing it to be downloaded. What they did will save lives but only if you, the member, take the time to access and download what they put together for you.

Awesome job guys.

Just because I BeBop around here in my little comedic romp doesn't mean I don't take things serious. Libraries are so quiet, not only can you hear a pin drop, but you can actually hear the pin dropping!

Right now I've got a hard drive problem in my computer and just last night my screen on the monitor lost the red driver, so now I'm looking at a greenish, blueish screen which is irritating to say the least! Oh and isn't it Mr.Baggywrinkle, hmmm I'm so confused. LOL!

I watched it about 10 times... the light keep bugging me, Ive seen a UFO move that fast in my own experience plus dozens of them on film but I've never seen one emit that sort of light out the rear before moving, they just move BANG!
That aspect looks likely fake to me.. but its just as likely I could be totally wrong, I am the last person to be overly skeptical in these matters. Coming from LA the home of the worlds best special effects equipment isnt very reassuring either.

Wow! I've ducked in here for shelter. It's raining cats and dogs outside - I just stepped in a poodle.

Which reminds me of the days when Nissan cars were called Datsuns.

A bloke in Sydney, Australia, was restoring a Datsun 190B and only needed one cog to finish the gearbox. He contacted the Nissan distributors who after a day got back to him with the bad news that they could not trace any of them anywhere in Australia and suggested that he try Japan.

After a week of negative results, Nissan Japan suggested contacting their American distributors. Another week of bad news and the bloke was feeling really despondent. He then thought of trying the European Nissan distributors and after two weeks, got some good news. If he were to go to London and personally take delivery, he could have the cog he wanted.

He was overjoyed, but cautious. He double checked that he was talking about a cog for a gearbox for a Dastun 190B. He was assured that that was the case. He promptly booked a flight to London. On arrival at the Nissan distributor, he was told that while the cog was available, he would have to take a whole crate of 144 cogs.

He was naturally shocked - but, he needed the cog so badly that he agreed. The crate, weighing one tonne, was deliverd to Heath Row Airport and loaded into the 747's cargo bay but not before he had removed one cog and put it in his pocket.

The flight went without a hitch until ash from an errupting volcano in Indonesia caused the jet's engines to lose power. The plane, at this time, was just crossing the coast of Australia. The pilot ordered all cargo to be jettisoned to lose weight. The bloke was annoyed at this but as he had one precious cog in his pocket, wasn't too worried.

As the crate tumbled to earth, the wind ripped the lid off and cogs started scattering in all directions. Down on the ground, a poor hapless drunk staggered indoors where his wife screamed at him, "I thought I told you to stay outside and not come back in until you were sober!"

The poor drunk hic-upped and replied, with tears oin his eyes, "Yes I know dear (hic) but it's raining . . . it's raining, Datsun cogs!"

Dancing aliens rejoice. The ads are back. Apparently dreams do come true.

A few weeks ago a blogger from the New York Times had commented that the silly dancing aliens, grooving silhouettes, and freaked out office worker advertisements had mysteriously disappeared from websites across the Internet.

The omnipresent, mostly obnoxious ads were part of a mortgage campaign by Lowermybills.com, an Experian company that specializes in lead generation.

Their disappearance was attributed to the recent credit crunch, and their relative popularity was clear when the company began cutting back on online advertising geared towards mortgages.

A company spokeswoman denied any such cutbacks, but said it was possible for the company to shift ad spend to others areas of their business model, such as comparison shopping.

Many in fact thought the mortgage lead
business was on the way out after the infamous ads disappeared.

Nonetheless, the ads are back, and they should be enough to help disgruntled mortgage enthusiasts crack a smile in this down market.

Finally, a feel-good story in the mortgage industry.

You’ve probably seen the ads, one where a green alien is doing some kind of Macarena-esque dance, or possibly the “office freak out” where dancing women are suddenly caught off guard.

Though the ads have returned, they seem to have been altered slightly, and I’m not talking about a new set of dance moves.

The ads used to say, “Mortgage Rates Fall Again!”, but were later changed to say, “House payments fall again!” after interest rates continued to rise.
