Oh, I've noticed that too...it seems that all of a sudden, many seem to dissapeared...just take a look at the What's Going On numbers, it tells everything.

What's Going On?
Currently Active Users: 207 (49 members and 158 guests)

There were usually, until yestarday morning, aprox. about 600-1000 Active Useres on the forum (aprox. 70-140 members and the rest guests), depending of the daytime...

Now this is strange...I hope our Mod's know something more?

Yes it seemed quite dramatic.. the usual number of members online was always around 100 but dropped to half that a few days ago and has stayed low.. ?

It doesnt help that 90% of members are too shy to join in the conversations and many of the active 10% won't venture out of their own threads or comfort-zone like the Nexus thread or whatever.

I think I might have worked out whats happening to all the members here.

If people dont log out after they have left the site they still appear online. For how long I dont know - a good few hours I think. This gives the impression that there are more users than what there actually was at any given time.

Maybe the system is updating itself more regularly now giving a more acurate reflection of who is online. :original: Just a possibility.

Maybe a lot of people only paid for 6 months on the subscription, so if it started in Dec.
that would put it to about now.
Or maybe because the weather is getting warmer and summer is coming, people actually decided to go outside!, which is a good thing.
Or maybe because the forum topics have become a little stagnant, people left.

I do think that is part of it, but not all of it. I usually keep this running in the background even if I am somewhere else at the moment looking at other things, now when I go back to here after a little while I am no longer logged in. I also noticed this to an extreme level in my Telus email account the other day, every 2 minutes a box would come up saying my session was over and I had to put in my password again. It happened repeatedly, very frustrating. Perhaps it is another one of those weird time things that are happening.

I also feel there has been a lot of events on here that turned a lot of people off. I feel there have been a lot of threads started for underlying commercial ventures, under the guises of save the world or contactee info. I feel as if it would have been more prudent to have a commercial area separate like the library and threads moved there such as Nexus, asking for donations, and seminars to sell, the contactee thread, and many others, health product sales threads , and all commercial signatures banned in the regular part of the forum.

Leave the commercial ventures, hawkers and promoters in another area. I would visit that area to see what was there, it just does not fall within the guidelines of the intent of forum and requires a separate area.There were many who were upset with Jack's thread although he was the most upfront and honest about what he was doing and his thread was not about just money for himself but ideas for others as well. I would have like to hear what he had to say in that area but perhaps now he has been forever silenced. Perhaps it is time for the moderators, that are left here anyway, to contact Kerry and Bill before it is too late, because there obviously is something that is not working or the numbers would be increasing not falling dramatically.

I also feel as if their are many on here that see how others are attacked, or grossly misunderstood by others and get fed up with that. I realize that posting my views on this will leave me open for attack but they are my views. I am posting now because I am one who sometimes will type in a posting and then erase it without pushing send, fearing that some will misinterpret, bend, or be upset for what my view is. Time for fear is over, push the submit reply button.:lol3:

I have been in contact with Bill and Kerry to see if some deep-seated issues can be resolved.
