I get the ringing and the crickets too. The crickets really bother me. The sound is loud. I've started calling out my Higher Self's name out loud, like asking for assistance here. The cricket always stops.

I don't have the problem with phones, but someone else was talking about that, I think on the abduction thread.

I get the gong, too, sometimes. And sometimes a loud slapping sound, like two pieces of wood hitting each other. These are quick sounds, only a few seconds.

I've read both sides of this issue -- that it might be mind control stuff or that it might be opening spiritual conduits. Since calling on my Higher Self stops the cricket, I'm inclined to think maybe she is protecting me. Or else, wouldn't it continue?

it is a good idea, to ask this sound,
if it is there, in 100% alignment
with you, and, if so, to start to play !!!

if that is what is showing up ...

it is a higher part of you,
trying to hit the 1st chord in your melody !!!

I have it as well, for many years. High pitch ringing. Constantly. I can notice when i start to sleep and the surrounding noise is low. During the day when surrounding noise is high, can hear the ringing only if I can shut out the surrounding noice by covering my years for example. Once in a while there is a sudden amplified version of the ringing and it almost drown out all other surrounding noise.

I have looked it online and got the same answer, tinitus. Nothing unusual.

Though in the movie, encounter of the third kind, the script has it that the main character who attained some contact to UFO experience ringing in the ear. Is it right?

I have had recent ringing in the ears also.

When it happens I ask my spirit guide to change the frequency.

It usually stops very soon after the request.

Remember you have a say in everything that involves you.

I also hear ringing, have for a long time, never felt bothered by it. I faintly here it during the day. Only if i concentrate realy hard and block out other sounds around me i can here it.
At night, in bed, while im trying to fall asleep, i here it clearly. Sometimes its high, other times its low and sometimes i can raise and lower it, most of the time i fall asleep playing with it.

i felt them all my life, pretty common ocurrence indeed. Seems to happen when i hit the nerve of something, like reality mechanics or something related.

I decided to actually tube today and turned on CNN. Just so happens that a commericial came on advertising a new device called Quietus. It gets rid of tinnitus.

For whatever reason, watching this immediately made me think of my most and more frequent ringing, but also how timely it was for this technology to surface when this seems to be more noticeable now. Just something to ponder.
I try not to be as dismissive as I used to be, because that is how we ended up with the many wools pulled over our eyes to this point...Sort of the ol' accepting explanations without research.

Looks like it was released late 2009, and I haven't checked the patents filing yet.

I've been slightly tone deaf in my right ear for years, but I generally do not hear or heard the ringing, tones, and pitch changes that I'm hearing now.

is anyone noticing that they can "see" music like a painting? sort of like a moving collage that has specific sights for every sound, and all the sounds together in a song bring you to its own atmosphere

I get the ringing in the ears but it's only when I'm in a state of intense presence. I can be in a loud room and "hear the silence" so to speak, or the stillness that underlies the physical form. It is very high pitched and clean sound, pure...it's a great focus for meditation, stills the mind. I don't meditate traditionally, as I have children and the tv is almost always on, but it is fairly easy to disconnect from the outer happenings by focusing on the stillness heard within. It can also lure you back into presence when you don't hear it, as intense presence becomes the natural state. Use it as a tool to bring you into the now and away from the mind made state.

The ringing is a focal point for Zen use it as an anchor.

I have had a high-pitched tone in my ears, swimming seemingly alive points of light in my field of vision, and a general sense of tension and pressure...for most of my life. I get the feeling that the Powers That Be That I Cannot See don't want me to figure things out and then tell people about it. I equate this phenomenon with maintaining control and power...and restraining and hindering those with irrational exuberance. I could be wrong...but I'm sick of whatever is going on. I feel as though I am in a constant battle...which I am losing. I just feel as though we are Prisoners of War on a Prison Planet administered by a Reptilian Theocracy. I have no proof...but that's what it feels like to me. The answer, my friend, is ringing in the ears. The answer is ringing in the ears.

I have read this info also about the ring and how to make it more pleasant. I think it was in Doreen Virtue’s Healing with the Angels book. (without the slowing it down, I don't know about that bit)

I have the ring also since I was a kid, in my case it means to stop (drop what I am doing) and listen (turn inside) because straight after I receive information. So I look at it as a sign. The information is always clear and most of the time for someone else other than me, but I am okay with that. It just arrives through me. However it is very high pitch and I can’t ignore it, that’s for sure. Thankfully it is only a short ring and then the info straight after it. First I thought there was something wrong and I am nuts, but the info prove itself right with great accuracy. Keep on listening guys; you might just tapping into Clair-Audience.

Intense Spiritual awakening is sometimes called Divine Madness. The seeking of the Love of God becomes an obsession and the person is naturally reluctant to come out of a bliss state.

Anyway I am possessed too by birds singing in my head, the move from ear to ear. Sometimes they are gone for a long period then suddenly particularly when meditating they are back.

Tinnitus

While I do think this is just tinnitus I had an interesting experience the other day with it. I get a ringing in one ear or the other about once every couple of weeks and it only lasts for a few seconds then goes away. Anyway, I was sitting on the sofa with my 1 year old grandson when I got a loud ringing in my right ear. I looked down on my grandson and he reached up and placed his left hand over his left ear and looked up at me. I said "Do you hear that too?" and of course he just stared at me and continued to hold his hand over his ear until the ringing dissipated in my own. It was as though the sound was only audible in the space between us or something. I chalked it up to coincidence but it was strange at the time. I had a momentary ringing twice this morning in my left ear.

just before you get woken up

you always hear sounds, before you awaken

you can, as, someone suggested above
ask your higher self/essence/and, monad
to adjust the energy
the 7/8/and, 9 of you...
and, thru the frequency/sound/tone/vibration
through the trinity of ether that surrounds all of you
(7 aspects)
along with asking to
adjusting the colour/and, light in your third eye
and, asking to re-set your 'zero-point'

also- ask to set in motion
3 infinite '8'-infinity signs
1st one, running up your right nostril to the left side
2nd one, running up your left nostril to the right side
and, looping around your
ingla and, pinglea nerves,
and, then the 3rd one
across the 1st/and, 2nd one,
and, straight across/and, right thru
your pineal gland
(like 6 petals of a lotus flower)

then, start to ask your head to light up
(if you have NOT opened your third eye)
gaze a burning candle/or, a simple light bulb
(or, if you have ONE, a blue light bulb)

and, just try to carry the light into your head
so, when you close your eyes,
the light is there ...
it can take a little practice,
once, you got the light in there,
try to practice rolling it around,
your whole head

if, you start to ask your third eye/
to light up, normally, it obeys your commands & demands

and, then also,
there is MORE than just a third eye
in there

if you move in a 4th one,
another infinite 8 ~ a sideways infinity sign
you can rearrange them,
so, it's like having 8 petals of a flower
as, to arrange them, so, they fan out,
for a total of 8 petals
while you are in an asking mode...
you can connect the 7th/and, 8th petals
to your higher self / and, essence
as, there is more, than just a 3rd eye awakening
there is "THE eXK ROOM"
behind the 3rd eye
where a big door swings open,
we remember, the first time, we opened it in ourselves,
and, actually heard the hinges on it, actually creak,
like an old castle / or barn door
that needs oiling

as, a child, we were taught to plant rosebuds
into the centre of our head,
when our third eye opened,
we'd always smell roses,
however, when "the door" to "The eXK Room" opened
it was filled with rosebuds, of all different colours
and, there was a big flame at the centre of the room
this is where, 3 members of The Counsel of Thirty-Three come
to talk to me, right in the middle of that flame

i heard the birds, as, a young child,
they are actually etheric ones,
if you go places like stonehenge
~ lay on your back, you can actually see
higher dimensional/sonic birds flying/or zooming overhead

a lot of people go to the doctor,
to try to find something, like drugs,
to turn it off, so, they don't have to listen to it

instead of doing that, it's a good idea,
to turn into it, and, tune into it
everyone has a soul song/its part of your soul sigil(s)/or soul signature(s)

My Scottish great-grandmother was probably clairaudient...she always said the ringing in the ears was "God calling. But you have to be still to answer the God Phone." This was in the 1970's and she was no new-ager, having been born in 1875 in Scotland.
