From Maine to Florida, the Atlantic seaboard has experienced higher tides than expected this summer. At their peak in mid-June, the tides at some locations outstripped predictions by two feet.

The change has come too fast to be attributed to melting ice sheets or anything quite that dramatic, and it’s a puzzle for scientists who’ve never seen anything quite like it

I think perhaps the Nat Geo page was an advert for an upcoming program about solar storms...coincidentally to be "aired" on August 22nd. I will check our local programming to see...and I will get back to you.

I suppose somewhere in this thread a link was posted to the clip of the professor from MIT on CNN saying the scienific community made a mistake in underestimating the coming solor storm. The interview was very short considering the importance of the issue. The reporter asked when it might happen. "2012" the scientist answered. To hear that on mainstream news was spooky.

I had a vivid dream about 20 years ago of the grid going down and some intel agency setting up an alternative communications system. When I read Dan Sherman's "Above Black"... it blew my mind. I've lived with that dream for years like I had it last night.

PS. I'm listening to the new Bill and Kerry interview from Holland. Bill mentioned being shown a photo siries of a car disapearing. I saw an airplane vanish - sound and all just whent into a portal of some kind on a clear day. It was during a big wave of UFO sightings in LA in 1994. Every day at about noon something stange would manifest - often followed by black helicopters. Some day I'll find out what was going on. Some day.....

Some day Angie will come back.
