Just witnessed a very strange thing!

Hi, i have been working on my pc with some software all night, listening to coast to coast stuff at the same time and kept avalon open to pop in and have a look now and again-i do this alot.
Anyhow i was just finishing a piece of design work whilst listening to coast and suddenly my mission speakers (connected to a cyrus amp through the p.c.) went nuts-a high pitched whistling blaring from them-I immediately turned the amp off and the drainage on a cyrus one is normally about 15-20 secs well, this buzzing carrried on for a minute or so it just surrounded me and i couldn't exact a position on it-very strange and a little disconcerting in a way.I have no idea where it came from but i had a feeling it was meant to warn me in some way!!!??This hapened @ about 00.50 hrs GMT. (15 ins ago).

Anyone else had this?

Do you have a mic switched on that might be looping back and causing feedback?

No mic or looping going on i have never known this to happen here-just out of nowhere-trust me if you'd been here it would have freaked you or at least make you a little sick-it was a very high pitched humming it was that loud i went straight to turn the amp down which had no effect, then i turned it off which had no effect!! T o think back now it must have lasted about 2 minutes which is longer than it appears.I could find a source point for it at all it felt as if it was all around me but wasn't- very odd.

i get a tinitus attack every now and then but it always seems to be when i am on my laptop, this attack lasts up to 20 seconds starting with like a pressure drop in me ears then a high pitched scream sometimes going from ear to ear (like a stereo effect)'

At least i think its tinitus !!!!

kindest regards dave caster :thumb_yello:

This is dead weird-i feel very drowsy,i realise it's quite late on GMT-i shouldn't have mentioned my old amplifier and speakers as they are able to be synchronised/phased.

A,

In the circumstances, i would advise you to follow the dictum of the late great artist Francis Bacon.....

"Just regard everything as being totally unimportant"
