Sorry it should say, "Independent Source said the US may declare Economic Emergency"


An ex bank owner who had a bank in Hong Kong told me independently (besides the Sorchia Faal article) and without solicitation that an Economic Emergency is planned to take place in the US IF (the person did say IF) the markets cannot stabilize. The US government has put in well over $100 billion to keep the markets from seizing. The biggest concern given was that the amount of volume associated with today's trades on the downside. It was well over 1 billion shares traded today just on the downside.

I find it interesting on the heels of the Sorchia Faal article. This individual does live in Asia.

I am just passing it along.

Oh, if you include Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, supposedly it's up to $200 billion to rescue the companies, or was, I don't know, it's not really clear, but some economists have estimates up to $2.5 trillion in the long run (2008 US Budget is 'supposedly' $2.66 trillon). So really it's more like $285 billion they've dropped so far which is almost 11% of the projected budget, $240 billion already which we didn't have (in terms of income, $2.42 trillion, from taxes).

This individual has been know to panic in the past. But I still wanted to pass it along due to the connections this person has. If it were true it most likely would come from this person.

The 2.5 trillion you mention may not be "long term" since many estimate that to be the amount of "toxic" securities that Fannie and Freddie held, now transferred to the Fed. If that figure is true, I can't imagine that the "reckoning" can be staved off for very long.

17 September 2008: A disturbing communication posted in a high level Arabic language forum suggests that some type of terrorist operation is currently underway, targeting sites within the United States and Europe. According to information developed within the last 24 hours by a deep-cover intelligence operative, Islamic terrorists have been dispatched to the U.S. and Europe and may be in place, preparing to execute unspecified terrorist attacks within the U.S. and Europe.

Neither the targets nor the types of attacks were able to be identified from an analysis of the communications, although it appears possible that the European and American operations could be conducted in tandem. Also unclear is the timetable of potential attacks, although the wording pertaining to the "anticipated celebration" of the success of such attacks suggests that they will be carried out within the next few days.

While many such threats by Islamic terrorists are published constantly and end up being nothing more than propaganda, it is important to note that the origin and nature of the communications isolated here meet a significantly higher standard of evidence for threat evaluation purposes. As such, it is the recommendation of this agency that individual awareness of any suspicious activity be stepped up accordingly, and immediately reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

Increased vigilance by law enforcement and security professionals is also urged, especially at areas of likely "hard" targets such as our infrastructure.

I trade daily on the Forex, Commodities, and Stock markets. I'll post a screen shot of the software I use based off of Elliott Wave tech. that shows the DOW's market direction.

Currently the DOW is tanking.
