I often think that press articles like these are released to prepare us for the 'big one'.

I understand that as time passes and technology gets more advanced that we understand more, but I think the recent articles relating to space and the like are beginning to appear commonplace, and could be just to make us more aware and prepared for 'D-Day'. :) Bring it on! :D

This image, taken with the Advanced Camera for Surveys aboard the Hubble Space Telescope, shows the newly discovered planet, Fomalhaut b, orbiting its parent star, Fomalhaut. According to scientists this is the first visible light snapshot of a planet circling another star. The small white box at lower right pinpoints the planet's location.
