A little off topic, but, did you know that a digital tv picture is actually LOWER quality than an analogue picture. ( I used to work for NTL here in the UK & this stuff was part of the basic training)

The advertising hype is just that..hype!

In laymans terms, a digital signal is compressed so much that if you watch fast action on the screen, the further away from the centre of the picture you look, the more it pixelates.

..and because the signal is so compressed numerous other things can piggy back on the same mux
