a big part of me believes this too...if we are truly aware and living through the heart, then heading to the hills for the chosen few who "get it" seems to be a fear based way to solve this problem.

i think if you awaken then the best you can do is help others. what if you move to the hills and you end up right, and your city friends are at the mercy of the police state. isnt best to live in service and help your fellow man as opposed to seeking to survive away from the people you care about?

there an element of speaking to the choir when i think about heading to a "safe place" isnt the safest place your own consciousness? we've lived and died before - shouldnt we live for life and not run away in fear? isnt that playing their game.

keep in mind i say this as ive bought silver and plan on buying the first plane ticket to the small rural town where i was raised if things go nutty.

but i struggle with this decision. because i believe what the first poster said about "neo" ...wake yourself up, thats the battle to be fought, not an external one. when you wake up from a dream you realize what it is. when you wake up "within" a dream/nightmare you realize you dont have to be afraid because YOU create what happens, you create reality.

im trying to meditate more (as opposed to not at all a few months ago)
because i believe that DOES more. maybe the only reason i "woke up" is because others did as well and put out conscious intent for others to wake up.

i struggle with the idea of running from whats coming as opposed to taking it on with no fear despite what befalls me.

its like in "return of the jedi" the emperor goads luke into using anger/aggression/fear and suddenly he realizes what he's turning into...he throws down his weapon at the emperor's feet ...he confronts him without anger fear aggression or a weapon and simply declares "you've failed your highness" the emperor then attacks him, his father sees this and "wakes up" and gets rid of the emperor but pays with his life (karma) but is redeemed in the end. so luke actually "beat" the emperor and saved his father with the simple act of fearlessness and acceptance. no weapons. no negativity. no running.
