Re: Cheney blasts Russian 'brutality', Moscow demands respect
It's very interesting to observe Cheney trying to claim the high ground in this situation. He talks as if the poor Georgians were suddenly attacked by the Russians. Of course that would completely ignore the facts that there were U.S. and Israeli military trainers in Georgia for months before the attack on South Ossetia. And guess what they were all doing? Well, they just happened to be training Georgian troops for just such an attack. Then, when Washington gave the green light to the Georgian president to attack the civilians of South Ossetia, the U.S. starts acting like they had no warning of any kind.
Is anyone really believing anything the Bush administration says any more?
