Re: How to stop the destructive force of hate in the world
My dearest Teresa, I am so heartfelt by your words, tears weld up and reminded me of my own experience. I lost my youngest several years ago and had the veil ripped right off and I too began to see the uglyness of the world. As I persevered through, these things I learned to be truths:
Every storm comes to an end,
If you want to cry, you go right ahead because:
When sorrow comes, REMEMBER its a mere reflection of the LOVE you once shared, and a reminder that it has not gone away!!!
Where there is hate-bring Love
Where there is wrong-bring forgiveness
Where there is discord-bring harmony
Where there is despair-bring hope
Where there is shadow-bring light
Where there is sadness-bring joy
Seek to comfort-than to be comforted
To understand-than to be understood
To Love-than to be Loved
If we become the change we wish to see in the world (as Mahatma Gandhi says) I believe soon the uglyness, hatred, and anger can be disolved. But for today look into the eyes of your children and see the LOVE that really exists.
