Default Re: Where to get silver and gold?

Be carefull when buying, dealers know whats going on in the worlds rumor mill and are taking advantage of it.

I was buying generic bars and rounds, to prevent paying colletor value. No place in town now has bullion available so I moved to 2008 walking liberty's. This was going ok until I walked into the dealer I had turned to recently and he jacked the prices up even after the recent devaluation of the market.

So basicaly I told the guy my money spends good elsewhere, realy it's to bad because I was about to make my largest purchase yet.

I suggest checking spot value before buying and don't pay a dime over $3.00 an oz. from spot (silver).

Some places are even trying to charge full price on 90% scrap coin silver, This is totaly dishonest and people like this should not be dealt with.

As far as how much to invest, It should not be looked at as an investment but rather a vault for your personal wealth (hedge). The idea behind precious medals is sorta like this.

$9.00 = 1 oz. silver = 9 loafs of bread

$20.00 = 1 oz. silver = 9 loafs of bread

$4.00 = 1 oz. silver = 9 loafs of bread
