Something happens to me regular, which is confusing and sometimes panicky.

It happens just as I’m drifting off to sleep. Then I get this blinding flash with a load noise, just like an electrical / lightning discharge.
I also get the feeling that I’m drifting or being pulled away.
Then it feels that I am forcing myself to wake up, which is like jolt or jump. Similar to the feeling of falling you get when you’re asleep.
And I do wake up i have the feeling that I have stopped or cant breath.

That’s the best I can describe it. There is a bit more, but i cant word it.

I’ve thought of many different causes.
Has anyone got any ideas or advice on what is happening please?
Guidance is what I’m lacking.
